Union-backed legislation prohibiting child labor came after the decline in child labor had already begun. Moreover, child labor laws have always been protectionist and aimed at depriving young people of the opportunity to work. Since child labor sometimes competes with unionized labor, unions have long sought to use the power of the state to deprive young people of the right to work.

In the Third World today, the alternative to "child labor" is all too often begging, prostitution, crime, or starvation. Unions absurdly proclaim to be taking the moral high road by advocating protectionist policies that inevitably lead to these consequences.

The power of Labor unions has faded since those dark days, and few people (outside of university economics departments) believe in Marxist exploitation theories anymore, but we are still saddled with anti-work laws that stunt young people’s lives.

Instead of harassing small businesses, I have a better idea. Let’s raid the Department of Labor and toss the slothocracy out on the street. Maybe they can get some real jobs in fast-food restaurants. . . as long as they’re willing to compete with America’s young people newly enfranchised by the repeal of all child-labor laws.

The vast majority of military women do not want to go into combat, but they will be forced into combat because that is what feminists want, and feminists have zero regard for other women or even for the majority of women. Feminists are brown shirts; many will scoff at me for saying that. When soldiers show up at your door to drag your daughter off to war against her will, then maybe you will believe me. Because feminists have never made a secret of their intention to force young women into combat against their will; feminists do not try to hide the fact that they are brown shirts,

Today, [IL candidate for Congress] Ian Bayne called Phil Robertson, star of the A&E series “Duck Dynasty,” the ‘Rosa Parks’ of our generation.

“In December 1955, Rosa Parks took a stand against an unjust societal persecution of black people, and in December 2013, Robertson took a stand against persecution of Christians,” said Bayne.

Parks, famous for refusing to give up her seat on a bus for a white person, as was the rule of her day, provided inspiration for a movement of equality of black people and white people in America.

“What Parks did was courageous,” said Bayne. “What Mr. Robertson did was courageous too.”

Bayne believes that the Duck Dynasty star knew that going on GQ would result in the current controversy going on surrounding his suspension, as well as his suspension.

Bayne added that this exposure of Robertson’s situation is an eye opener for many who may have been previously in disbelief that the bible is fast becoming considered “hate speech” by the media and society.

This was way beyond "impeachment"long ago ! He must be BODILY REMOVED SO ALL HIS EVIL GARBAGE AND GANG GO WITH HIM ! Impeachment is only for CONSTITUTIONAL ELECTED OFFICIALS - WHICH OBAMA BARRY BOY IS NOT ! Impeachment is not legal in his case - he must be BODILY REMOVED ! Why is that simple legal FACT so hard for everyone to understand ?! I know DC officials are too stupid to understand that, but the people out there should EASILY 'GET IT' ! The Constitution is written only for AMERICAN CITIZENS - Barry is not a citizen ! He is an illegal alien - a Foreigner to this country ! He must be BODILY REMOVED ! That way all his evils go with him - it's like he never existed. Everythuing goes back to how it was before he was placed in the Oval Office. This includes prices ! The Military must phyxsically REMOVE HIM, AND PUT HIM ON A PLANE AND SEND HIM OUT OF THE COUNTRY NEVER TO RETURN - AND IF HE DOES , IT'S LEGAL OPEN SEASON ON HIM BY ANYONE ! Or else just hang him and be done with it. ALL the Treasons he has done goes way past a single death penalty - and a public death is the only penalty for Treason. But his whole gang also is guilty of Treason. They need the same penalty. Build the scaffolds !!! The Founders would have had them built and used long ago right on Penn Ave !

((I am sorry about how this text is just a huge brick, but that's how it was originally. /WeirdWiccan))

If you're an Orthodox Christian (who drinks blood of Jesus regularly, prays, wears a cross, fasts, rejects New World Order documents, and doesn't sin), then demons have no effect on you. People who use drugs see demons who cleverly disguise themselves as aliens. God gave you like a shield so that demons don't harm you, but when you sin or do something spiritually wrong, you open yourself up to demonic influence. For example, chanting mantras leads to demon possession. It's not the words that get you possessed; it's the rhythm. Buddhists worship fake mountain Kailash in Tibet inside which demons have a UFO base. Barcode is Druid black magic curse. Mediums are shown pictures and given thoughts by demons. Demons move the Ouija board. Demons=Ghosts=Spirit Guides=Aliens. Demons never do good. Demons fly in UFOs. Crystal balls, tarot cards, barcodes, tattoos, talismans, masks, skulls, amulets, etc. attract demons. Meditation, chanting mantras, and astral projection lead to demon possession. Casting spells is asking demons for help. Ask Greek Orthodox priest to help you out (blessing your house, etc.) Most dreams and thoughts are from demons. To break any curse, pray slowly the Psalm "the Lord is my light and my salvation" 40 times a day for 40 straight days. That's 1600 times in total. Also, if you're in any trouble (like sleep paralysis), scream: JESUS! Pray the Jesus prayer all the time: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner." Jesus will come back to end the flying antichrist's rule when this antichrist conceives a thought in his evil mind that he 666-isotope-ray-lasered everyone. Antichrist's minions came up with Dec. 21 in order to desensitize people to the real events predicted in the Bible. Antichrist is 0% God and 100% man. He's possessed by Satan since he's 12 years old. He flies. He wears gloves to hide long nails. He's pale with red eyes. He's surrounded by demons who appear as angels of light. 666ed people go to permanent hell. 666 is given by lasers (isotope rays) on wrist or forehead when people stretch hands to receive small plastic grey card (world passport). Reject 666. Don't go into a UFO to be healed by demons. Those who reject 666 will go to heaven. Also, their direct ancestors will be saved from hell. Dinosaurs live under our level. They will get out through sinkholes and lakes. To kill them, go for their nerves. Again, 666 is given by isotope rays on wrist or forehead when people stretch hands to receive small plastic grey card (world passport). Police will chip and isotope ray people on highways. Food stores will isotope ray people too. Antichrist will also release prisoners to mark people. Reject 666 at all cost. If you're about to be marked, scream: "Lord, have mercy!" three times. Go hide with Orthodox Christians to escape 666. After death, 3 days you here, then you're shown hell and heaven from 3rd until 9th day after death, then from 9th until 40th day demons accuse you of sins; that was before, now people just straight out go to temporary hell because of Social Security; but 666ed people go to permanent hell right away; 666 is given when people stretch hands to accept the evil plastic card. Before Jesus preached in hell, all people (except Enoch and Elijah) went to hell. Now, aborted kids go to hell for 33 and a half years. After crucifiction, Jesus preached in hell. Those who believed, got out of hell. Suicide leads to hell. Maximum torture is at the bottom (ice hell) for biggest sinners. Stalin is head in boiling water. When he tries to get out, demons push him back in. Others stand up to knees or up to chest in boiling water. There are different punishments in hell. If you didn't do anything bad, you're in a dark room. Also, hell is not permanent now. So, it's possible to get out, especially if you're prayed for and your relatives give to charity in the name of Archangel Michael. God is love. God has unlimited joy. God wants to share His joy with us. Point of this life is to get to heaven and spend eternity with God. God gives you a name during baptism. Devil gives you an anti-name during anti-baptism. Barcode is Druid black magic curse and a form of mark of the beast just like Social Security. People who took any number (which is an anti-name given during anti-baptism by the beast) on documents or in computer go to temporary hell; but those who receive green 666 (given with world passport with no name on it) on forehead or wrist go to permanent hell. How not to go to hell? Give back all these anti-name anti-baptism documents back to the beast by writing to appropriate authorities. If authorities refuse to cancel these anti-names, then write again (up to three times). If you wrote to the gov't three times about it, but gov't refused, then God will not send you to hell. Don't go into UFO to be healed by demons.

Our rights that were once protected by the Constitution are slowly being taken away. We can no longer pray in public we no longer have free speech to voice our own opinion, making comments about how things were years ago in history is forbidden, history books are being changed to be politically correct in today's view, we as a majority can no longer vote on a issue without a judge later ruling that our vote did not count, and people are so afraid to offend non-Christians that songs that were once about Christ's birth are being changed to remove Christ from the lyrics. It is a sad day in America when our rights are no longer honored. Which Constitutional right will be taken away next?

Micro evolution is a misnomer. I am the son of a microbiologist with and earned Dr. If an organism will react the same way every time, to external stimuli, it isnt evolution, it is mutation. If it were, the original organism would cease to exist in the generation that evolved. The subsequent offspring would never again be able to reproduce a dna pattern that matched their parent's pre-evolution pattern.
This is over simplified, but to call it evolution is to admit ignorance of science.
Dont expect the educaters to help, either. I remember my Mother's doctoral dissertation on gene mutation in e coli. The questions asked by the committee that reviwed here presentation had my sister and I giggling. They had been asked and answered by Dr. Mom, in the dissertation. She was gracious, we laughed out loud.

[Has evolutionary science been useful to the world?]

Chris, you’d be surprised. Evolutionists say that evolution undergirds all of biology, and yet no truly helpful discovery has come from evolution. It is true that many evolutionists have made amazing discoveries, but these are based on scientific observation of the way things are—how they originated is a different question. It seems to me that if evolution were really a theory of everything, as they claim, then it ought to be obvious; they shouldn’t have to rely on silly evolutionary stories to make us believe it. Face it, evolution is unbelievable because it is simply not true. Most people are not gullible enough to think that a frog change into a prince. Creation is a much better answer and we learn that when we go back to Genesis.

The Qur’an is “Hate Speech” and Should be Banned
Central text of Islam advocates stoning homosexuals to death

If we are to accept in the aftermath of the ‘Duck Dynasty’ controversy that criticism of homosexual activity represents “hate speech,” then the Qur’an, which advocates stoning gay people to death, should also be denounced as hate speech and banned.

According to Democratic Party political pollster Bernard Whitman, who appeared on Fox News yesterday, along with a plethora of other leftists, Phil Robertson’s comments are hateful and said they shouldn’t be allowed to be aired in public.

Yet the Qur’an, which clearly states that homosexuality is punishable by violent torture and death, is not subjected to anywhere near the same level of vitriol as that leveled against Phil Robertson by leftists. Why is that?

[...]

As we illustrated earlier, not only the Qur’an but also the Christian Bible should be banned under this framework because both can be considered hate speech as they incite violence against homosexuals.

Despite the Qur’an’s advocacy of stoning homosexuals to death, in addition to its recommendation that husbands beat their wives, it is virtually unheard of for prominent leftists to be critical of Islam, and yet the venom spewed in the direction of Robertson for asserting that homosexuality is a sin has been unrelenting.

Indeed, when Bernard Whitman complained that TV networks were allowing religion to be “used as a weapon to spew hate,” he wasn’t referring to the religion of Islam, despite the fact that it advocates far more brutal treatment of gays than anything Robertson stated.

We have a choice. Either we allow the unrestricted flow of free speech in the public area and accept that people will be offended and given the right to reply, or we use the power of the state to designate certain beliefs as “hate speech” and deliberately restrict them from appearing in the public arena.

If we go for the second option, billions of copies of the Bible and the Qur’an will have to be removed from tens of millions of churches throughout the world.

You're not looking for anything but to degrade God, Jesus and anyone associated with God, and any thoughts of a spiritual nature. You are spiritually dead! Like St. Paul says: "God, and Jesus are nonsense to the lost men of this world." And trying to reason with people like you is an occasion for sin!

The Constitution of the United States of America was written by [Godly people]. Who prayed before every meeting Be glad you're not living with a country (yet) that doesn't fear God. Freedom and God are synonymous. No matter what way you try to carve it up to be.

Why do people want to be in America? Just ask anyone crossing our borders illegally longing for a better life? FREEDOM. And you can't have it without everything that God stands for!

When the Constitutional Convention hit a snag 5 weeks in because of arguments and misunderstandings.... what did they do? PRAY!!

Believe whatever you want about the piece of paper, and the men who assembled it. Fact is, that God was indeed the inspiration that empowered everything that resulted in our US Constitution.

I have believed in evolution for many years but now in my 60s and starting to have doubts. I mean if we look at fish they have always been fish, I have never seen a fish turn into a bird. Also when I went to the zoo a few weeks ago I asked myself if we evolved from monkeys then why are these monkeys still here, surely if evolution was true then monkeys wouldn't be about? But they are, so it now makes sense to me that man did not evolve from the monkeys.

I am also skeptical about ants, was there really a common ancestor, if so what was it? A mini ant? But ants are already small. Also it's hard to vision sea plankton evolving from a rock because that's what evolution says, it says organisms came from matter and rocks originally. Sounds like a fairy-tale to me. I used to be an orthodox Christian but now I'm a spiritualist. There are cases of ectoplasm spirits telling humans in the séance room that evolution is a hoax. Am I on the right path? Are the spirits right and evolution is a hoax?

[On Phil Robertson being suspended from Duck Dynasty.]

It didn't take A&E long to cave, did it? I fired off emails yesterday and today to them, not that it'll do any good. I'm sure A&E is thinking if they wait long enough that Phil will give in and apologize. I don't believe Phil is going to do that because from what I've seen of him he's a man of godly moral principles that mean more to him than some TV show. I posted about this on FB just a few minutes ago, in favor of God, the bible, and Phil, of course, and I'm fully expecting at least one of my so-called "friends" to delete me. He's actually an in-law who professes to being an atheist and is a sodomite himself. I only friended him because my FB page is one big witness for Jesus with bible verses and the plan of salvation on it and I hoped he might get convicted and saved because of it. Oh well, it's all in God's hands.

We must learn to distinguish God’s judicial pronouncements from his commands about a way of life for us so as not to mix apples and oranges. The removal of the Canaanite peoples was a judicial ruling by God. Consider, in the USA we give people rights. But those rights can be taken away if people commit a crime. Its called prison. Is that hypocrisy to say people have rights (out of one side of our mouth) but then put them into prison ( out of the other)? No because those persons gave up many of their rights when they committed a crime. There were no prisons in Canaan. As a judicial ruling, God told Israel to dispossess the people in the land. They were either to kill them or in some cases enslave them. The Canaanites had already lost all of their rights and were under God’s just judgment. There was no justification for arbitrary chattel slavery in the Bible — (the kind which we knew in antebellum times) … in fact the slavery which kidnapped people and sold them as property was punishable by death (Exodus 21:16) .

No they were ONLY to kill or enslave under God’s direct verbal orders – Remember, He is God so His judicial ruling is more just than any human court has ever been since He knows all of our crimes perfectly. So When Israel killed people they were simply acting as God’s hand, speeding up the death sentence we all justly deserve.

You think this racist because it targets foreigners? Think again. God also warned the Israelites that they were not immune from the Canaanites’ judgment: “But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.’ “(Numbers 33:55-56). So not only were foreigners made slaves … when the Israelites disobeyed God – REMEMBER – they were carried off in the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities. So God is not partial or racist.

There is one problem with what you say and that is that the more Jesus Christ's Name is removed from the public forum the more the left is empowered to keep it removed by these subtil little action's. Our generation that is coming into play now hardly know anything about Christ and hearing the saying Happy Holidays is just the same as removing Christ from Christmas. Kwanza is totally pagan and this just comes down to making sure paganism gets recognized. Political correctness is the worst thing liberals have tried to force everyone to have to observe. you completely misrepresent the truth of the Bible. You are applying a univocal notion of causality to both God and man. God freely and willfully ordains all things, and in the context of that decree, He also decrees that man has full ethical and moral responsibility for all his words, thoughts and deeds. It is the eternal decree prior to creation that makes human free will even possible to begin with. They only seem contradictory to the finite mind because you are analogically applying causality to the mind and will of God instead of applying causality univocally. God can both ordain all that comes to pass AND ordain that man has free will, without contradiction. I can surely say to you, if you die in your sins, you will be judged for those sins, and it will be a righteous judgment. Please don't misconstrue such a serious matter between you and God.

Quote# 98484

At Christmastime, those of us who can see the truth about these gay issues face multiple conflicts. The world believes that we are full of what Anthony Kennedy calls "animus." We are increasingly pathologized as haters or else criminalized as the purveyors of discrimination. Our politicians surrendered us for thirty pieces of silver from the Human Rights Campaign and Paul Singer long ago, while religious leaders either cave, as did most Methodists and reform Jews, or else cut ties to us to save themselves the bother, as have many Catholic and Anglican leaders.

The LGBT lobby has been ruthless about intruding into all our relationships both personal and professional to indoctrinate people in its sexual ideology. It doesn't matter that this ideology of biological determinism and sexual abandon destroys gays themselves, as well as the people around them who feel the fallout from their depression, sexually transmitted diseases, eating disorders, anxiety, exploitation, sexual assault, domestic violence, and suicide -- all the trademarks of a gay world that has been decaying from within while its self-appointed lobbyist overseers bicker with the outside world about same-sex marriage.

The more resources the LGBT lobby has shifted from reforming gay culture to erecting a façade of suburban marital normalcy that precious few gays can ever really obtain, the gloomier and unhappier gay people have become as individuals.

Yet to bear witness on this topic is relentlessly painful. The LGBT lobby has warped my relationship with students, my relationship with gay friends, my relationship with the press, my relationship with bosses at the university, my relationship with readers, and saddest of all, my relationship with my own family. My relatives, all well-intended liberal devotees of the New York Times, will believe what Frank Rich or Maureen Dowd writes about gays before they believe me, their own brother. Of the large brood fostered by our sprawling family tree, only I knew of my mother's sexuality from early on and viewed her partner as a second mother; not coincidentally, only I ended up coming out as queer and living a queer life.

"Let's agree to disagree," they say, when the topic of Governor Brown's signing a ban on ex-gay therapy comes up. "That's how you see it, but not necessarily how it is," they say, when I tell them about the epidemic of homosexual rape in the military, something I witnessed firsthand because I was the only one who served in the armed forces. "My gay friends tell a different story," they say, when I try to open up about what really happened between 1984, when I was first introduced to gay sex at the age of thirteen, and 1999, when I fell in love with the woman who would become my wife. "You've always been one to exaggerate." And at last, on the issue of our own mother, "I don't feel comfortable talking about this."

To bear witness and speak honestly means, sometimes, having to feel pain at the hands of people you love. In a time of chocolate cookies, fireplace stockings, and wrapping paper, I wish that John 5:13 didn't remind me that these are among the things that God expects us to surrender if it means we must speak a truth that others do not want to hear.

What do you mean? Are you moving in the U.S. or abroad? Well I've lived in New Jersey since a month after I was born and I've never really like it here. I've been to half the states though and I've always like the South. Cost of living is of course usually cheaper. I reckon (like OP said) the people are more conservative at least in comparison. Bible Belt and all that. Means that even if they don't go far enough by our standards resisting liberalism, they're at least a lot nicer. It's cold up here, both the climate and the people. But I don't have to tell you that.

I watch Wife Swap a lot and very often they'll do a North/South trade. Like one of the episodes had a mother from Kentucky who was a dumb housewife who served her husband. Blonde White American lady. The other mom that she switched families with a also a blonde White lady about the same age, but she was from one of the Northern states and she was a careerist. Worked all the time and never saw her family. Her relationship with her kids was built around shopping, buying love and all that. Reminds me of my family. But anyway, the woman from Kentucky wasn't fat at all, but she had kind of a round face and soft skin. The Northern mom had sharp facial lines and leathery skin and looked like a walking corspe using makeup to try to hide the worst spots. Putting her work over her family had a toll on her physical beauty. The Northern family treated the Kentucky mother like trash. They were a lot smarter, sure, but they had no morals. I know Wife Swap always tries to find the extremes, but just from my own experiences I think there's a lot of truth. There's a lot of similar episodes like this.

We have already seen that the Christian Theocrats who wrote America's Constitution had no feelings of animosity towards non-Christians. In a Christian nation such as America, people are free to believe whatever they want.

Their actions, however, must conform to Biblical Law. Non-Christian religions have no freedom in a Christian nation to act in ways which violate God's commands. This position was clearly enunciated by the U.S. Supreme Court. "Religious freedom" has always been limited to the space between one's ears. And it was Thomas Jefferson who made the distinction between beliefs and actions, and it was Jefferson the Supreme Court quoted in declaring that non-Christian religions do not have absolute religious freedom in America because America is a Christian nation.

Most people never think about these facts. Give it just a little thought. One morning you walk out front to get your newspaper and you see that your pagan next-door neighbor has built an altar on his front lawn and is preparing to rip the beating heart out of his young daughter's chest as a gift to his gods. Will you rescue the child -- and thereby "impose" your religious values on your "devout" neighbor -- or are you a "pluralist?" You're in the voting booth. Candidate A is a Christian and promises to pass laws against murder, theft, and polygamy. Candidate B says he will keep his religion private, and will pass no laws if anyone feels they need to sacrifice their children to Moloch, steal money from Christians to give to the goddess Kali, or accumulate multiple wives for celestial marriage. Who would you vote for? Who would the men who signed the Constitution urge you to vote for?

The "separation of church and state" does not mean the separation of our laws and government from God and true religion. The Supreme Court has declared that America is a Christian nation, and there is only limited freedom for non-Christian religions.
