I know that cXm is against the rules but I would like to know why

what makes {CXM artist removed by admin}worse than {classical artist name removed by admin}
Why is {CXM group removed by admin} banned but {classical artist name removed by admin} isnt
what makes music good or bad (I'm asking for the views of the Mods not the actual biblical response because I know that there is a huge difference)

So what do you think that the New Earth will be like? Views on the celestial city of Jerusalem?

Personally, I have a few ideas about it. Most have scriptural backing. I believe that we will be able to communicate with animals. I believe that we will be able to instantly teleport ourselves anywhere (possibly anywhere in the universe), I believe that Jerusalem will be an orbiting city (a pyramid, or cube.. a sphere fits the dimensions of 1500 miles X 1500 miles, but you can't really build a wall around a sphere. A pyramid seems to be more likely, with tiered levels for our golden mansions, and the temple of God on top. Imagine that, with waterfalls running down the side as the lake flows from the temple of God. It would be amazing. The foundations of the pyramid would be all those different stone mentioned in Revelation. THe 12 stones, and then the 12 gates of pearls. We will either get to the city through teleporting ourselves, or by flying (or even ascending on Clouds as Jesus did.. the Bible says we will be like him).

Quote# 20067

[Oh, come on. Inflation does have observable effects. Leprechauns and God do not.]

But God does have obervable effects. Let me tell you three very observable effects God has had in my experience, and you refute them if you can:
1) I was a smoker for a long time. I told God that I was sorry, but it was one thing I truly loved to do and that HE would need to scare me out of it if He needed me to quit. The next day I woke up with nasty blisters filled with puss all over my tonsils! I then promised I wouldn't touch any more cigarettes, and I woke up the next day and they were gone!
2) My husband and I had to hire a lawyer for $10,000.00. We had already paid him $5,000.00 and I called him to tell him that we had another $2000.00 for him... so immediately (you know how lawyers are) he called and made an appointment for us to come in. On the way, my dh and I prayed that he would cut us a break because we needed the money. The first thing our lawyer said when we got into his office was, "Don't worry, you guys are all set, you don't owe me any more." A lawyer refusing money?! There's gotta be a God.
3) And this last event occurred only a few weeks ago. I was reading my Bible in prayer... I'm early int he old Testament so no where near the NT... I asked a very specific question in prayer... I had a dream that night that Jesus pointed at my Bible and clearly said "Romans 3:6." He said it twice and I woke up. When I opened my Bible it was in exact answer to my question the night before... I've never even read Romans before!
What I'm getting at is that there are so many observable facts if you believe in God... when you open yourself up to Him you will be awestruck by the things He can do. God bless!

“Given the chance, I’d watch the Super Bowl with the Rev. Jerry Falwell, who knows about Baal and ball. Twenty years ago, in Lynchburg, Virginia, at a Liberty University Flames game, Dr. Falwell told me: ‘Jesus was no sissy. He was tough, he was a he-man. If he played football, you’d be slow getting up after he tackled you.’ He had me at “sissy.” The rest was revelation. The muscularity of Dr. Falwell’s evangelical Christianity was a perfect fit with football, another win-or-lose game. For Americans, war hasn’t produced a real winner for more than 60 years. That’s why we need football. But let’s get back to Dr. Falwell. … While we wait for his Holy Bowl to show us how to kick the other cheek, we do have the gospels, saints, and rituals of the Super Bowl, arguably the holiest day of the American calendar. Nothing in sports draws us together as surely — not elections, the Academy Awards, disasters, terrorist acts, or celebrity deaths. The Super Bowl is a melting pot hot enough for atheists, Sodomites, and Teletubbies to become one with the Saved, if only for a single Sunday.” (01/30/07)

I have no reason to think that Darwin was insincere in the presentation of his thinking and his observations.

He was mistaken, because he allowed sight and the thirst for evidence to take over from faith and what he has heard and read.

We could have won this war with in six months if it wasn't for the wusses in this country. The problem is we haven't killed enough bad guys. As I said in my previous post, as well as other numerous times: your enemy has got to be more afraid of you than of dying.

What we should have done the second we realized that Iran and Syria was sending monsters accross the border we should have started a bombing campaign of which would make Dresden look like a wienie roast. The problem is the marxists in this nation have made us walk a tight rope instead of actually doing what needs to be done.

We can win this war, the key is to kill the enemy and not whine about the deaths we cause. I'm not opposed to going nuclear against the monsters, shoot we may have to. There again, we need our enemy to be more afraid of us than dying. All the guys that have come home I've talked to have told me that we are doing a good job over there, but to actually be able to be efficient at their job they almost have to raise their hand the way you do in grade school. There are no short cuts, you can't make monsters love you, you can't expect them respect you if agonize on killing them when they are more than willing to fight like they are stuck in the 7th Century.

Remember they are more than willing to kill themselves to kill you.

The Biblical standards for music are:

Separation: The music as well as the musicians should be distinctly separate from anything that is worldly. Simply, the music should not sound like the music the world loves.

Testimony: The musicians testimony should be one that demonstrates their love for God and their willingness to serve Him. Of course, this means that they must be living a pure and holy life. Opening for rock/pop/rap/mainstream country stars would, of course, disqualify them.

Message: The message of the music must be clear, must praise God and must edify the saint.

I do believe that the best way to bring others to Christ is to not ridicule or reject them in any way. But by no means are we to accept what they believe and let them remain that way. That is our holy calling, to bring all to Christ. What is God's view on other beliefs?

ON the romance and opposite gender issues that you have i will have to disagree with you. As a Male, if i were to live with another female it would be a terrible disaster for me in terms of i would create an atmosphere of lust and that would just be bad. Also, Waiting until marriage to kiss is a noble deed and i wish i had that much strength, waiting till marriage for sex is a biblical requirement.

XTian Rock
Contempory XTian Music We have been hitting hard on XTian Rock, but it is only one genre, or style of music. There are many styles of music which claim to be Christian, but which are completely worldly in their sound, and devoid in their message. These have all fall under the 'Contempory' or modern label. Give me the old fashioned stuff!

XTian School
A School or university which claims to be Christian but either does not have Christian standards or had them at one point, but is now abandoning them. For example: Yale University. There is another one in Greenvile, SC, but it's name escapes me at the moment ... Bob something...

Non-denominational XTian Church
In other words, come as you are, we'll give you a warm fuzzy feeling, and you can leave like you came!

I accept that House himself is pro-death, and the rest of the cast, and presumably the show's producers, but I don't need it rammed down my throat.

The main victim in tonight's episode is the murdered baby, and that was the show's "happy ending". Well, I've had enough. I'll miss House and his great zingers, but I'm tired of tolerating this godless *beep*

Quote# 20099

God gave us a revelation that would change the trajectory of our lives. We had just begun to know about God and His Word. We are seven youth to whom God has given the privilege and great responsibility of sharing this revelation with the world.

Everything started about approximately 10:00 a.m. We were praying and were prepared to go out on a picnic later on that day. Suddenly around 10 am, a very powerful white light shone through one of the windows. When the light appeared, all of us immediately started to speak in tongues and were baptized with the Holy Ghost.

In that moment, all of us were astonished and fascinated with what we saw. That glorious light was illuminating the entire room. The light was much stronger than the light from the sun. In the middle of the light, we saw a host of angels dressed in white. These angels were so beautiful, tall, and very good looking.

In the middle of all those angels we saw something amazing -- the figure of a Man. This image was a special being, a man who was dressed in a very white mantle and robes. His hair was like gold threads. We could not see His face because it was too brilliant. However, we saw a golden belt around His chest, with gold lettering that said: "King of Kings and Lord of Lords ." He was wearing pure gold sandals on His feet, and His beauty was without equal. When we saw the presence of that Man, all of us fell to our knees.

[snip]

The place was divided into different sections of torment and suffering. One of the first sections that the Lord allowed us to see was the "Valley of the Cauldrons" as we called it. There were millions of cauldrons. The cauldrons were inlaid at the level of the ground; each of them was burning with lava inside. Inside each one was the soul of a person who had died and gone to hell.

As soon as those souls saw the Lord, they started to shout and screamed, "Lord, have mercy on us! Lord give me a chance to get out of this place! Lord, take me out and I will tell the world that this place is real!" But the Lord didn't even look at them. There were millions of men, women and young people in that place. We also saw homosexuals and drunkards in torment. We saw all of these people shouting in such great torment.

It shocked us to see how their bodies were destroyed. Worms were coming in and out of their empty eye sockets, mouths, and ears; and were penetrating the skin all through their bodies. This fulfills the word of God written in the book of Isaiah 66:24 "They shall go forth; they shall gaze upon the dead bodies of those who have rebelled against Me; for their worm shall not die, nor shall their fire be quenched; they shall be an abhorrence to all mankind." Also in Mark 9:44,"Where their worm never ceases and the fire is not put out." We were just horrified at what we were watching. We saw flames about 9 to 12 feet high. Within each flame, there was the soul of a person that has died and went to hell.

The Lord allowed us to see a man who was inside of one of the cauldrons. He was upside down and the flesh on his face was falling in pieces. He remained watching the Lord intently; and then started to shout and call on the name of Jesus. He said, "Lord have mercy! Lord give me a chance! Lord take me out of this place!" But the Lord Jesus didn't want to look at him. Jesus simply turned his back on him. When Jesus did this, the man started to curse and blaspheme the Lord. This man was John Lennon, the member of the satanic music group "The Beatles." John Lennon was a man who mocked and made fun of the Lord during his life. He said that the Christianity was going to disappear and Jesus Christ would be forgotten by everyone. However, today this man is in hell and Jesus Christ is alive!! Christianity hasn't disappeared either.

[A request for people to support getting bibles to troops goes on and on about "No atheists in foxholes" mentality.]

It is amazing to see when one is faced with their own mortality how even the non-religious turn to the Word of God and prayer to find hope in their time of need. I saw hardened men literally devouring these small Bibles as if it were the last sustenance known to mankind!

As a result of these Bibles being distributed and the power of the Word of God, I saw more than 60 combat-hardened men come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In fact, I had the privilege of baptizing them in the Tigris River on Easter Sunday.

I was flabbergasted that the liberal media had not checked into this matter. It is unthinkable to have someone running for the U.S. presidency that may have been taught as a youth that America is "The Great Satan" and the Jews are source of the world's ills.

There is no smoking gun linking Obama to radical Islam, but there are several troubling signs of deceptive behavior. In both of his best-selling autobiographies, Obama plays down his Muslim heritage. Obama was given the name Hussein by his Muslim father, which the Illinois Democrat rarely uses in public. Mr. Obama is said to be a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago ’s South Side, but he rarely attends services.

When conservative news outlets began covering the story, the liberal media went into damage-control mode. The Chicago-Sun Times ran the story that said, "Crazies doing best to smear Obama." ABC's "Nightline" blamed Fox News for giving credence to the story.

The only thing holding this nation together is our relationship with Israel. God said to Abraham, "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee" (Gen 12:3). There is a natural enmity between the followers of Mohammad and the Jewish state, which is mostly spiritual in nature. I truly believe it be would suicide for our nation to have a leader who is even remotely connected to Islam.

Homosexuals have invented nicer and friendlier words [“gay” and “lesbian”] to describe themselves that are not “offensive” to them. They put the colloquial axiom “homosexual” in the same category as the dreaded term “faggot” and other words that have evolved to refer to their disgusting behavior; both are offensive to them because the terms are interchangeable, and both identify their immoral and degenerate nature...

Up to this point it is not against the law to use ANY of these words. Free speech is still an American right. The homosexuals use plenty of invective and offensive language against Christians and others for what we believe; they consider God’s Holy Word to be “hate speech.” So, they have absolutely no platform to stand on and complain when someone labels them with language that describes what they are. My God calls homosexual behavior detestable [inspiring or deserving abhorrence or scorn—Synonyms: execrable, abhorrent, loathsome, odious, vile] and an abomination [a vile, shameful, or detestable action, condition, habit, etc.]. I believe Him. The “lifestyle”—homosexuality, IS OFFENSIVE TO US!

It is at this point that I need to invoke Article II of the Bill of No Rights, which says, “You [homosexuals] do not have the right to never be offended. The country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone - not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.” If someone labels you a faggot, it’s because you are acting like one. To this I would say, “Get over it, or change your degenerate homosexual lifestyle.” It is my 1ST Amendment right.
