A lot of people seem to be up on a moral high horse about the issue. A lot of people seem to be trying to get you to think about "what if it was your daughter?" I can't get behind that. A lot of people try to protect women from the dangers of their own sexuality. This is wrong. Think instead, what if his son was the underage member of the equation? Would you still be offended? Would you still even care? I think many of you wouldn't.

I think this shows a kind of pervasive sexism that exists today. You make it seem like the girl was simply used and never given any kind of choice in the matter. I can only speak from my own experience with the subject, and perhaps it makes me biased in believing that girls can make the same choices at 14 that boys seem generally capable of making without a second thought.

Anyway, I started dating my future wife when I was 16 and she was 13. We hit it off pretty quickly and the age difference scared the shit out of me. I was always apprehensive of anything physical, and she felt that I just wasn't into her because I wouldn't even kiss her. We essentially broke up without so much as a peck on the lips. It's still something she holds against me. She wishes that I would have taken her virginity back then rather than the asshole she had given it to when I broke her heart.

Fast forward a year and we get back together for a short time. She makes it evident that she wants something more physical. She takes my virginity. She considers it one of the most fond memories of her life. We don't entirely last due to odd circumstances beyond our control, but the feelings persist.

Fast forward again to 2004. We kind of found each other again and spend a lot of time playing catch up. In February we'll have been together for 8 years. Our relationship is more stable than many of the married couples we know. It's not perfect, but we talk all the time and the sex is still awesome. She still thinks I was being a "pussy" for not making a move on her when she was 13.

You all would have me believe that she was, and is, still incapable of making any choices for herself. I guess I should also be a registered sex offender for my loving relationship? But then again, fuck you

All these verses set out God's intention for marriage. No mention of polygamy or same sex marriage there.

As I said earlier, MLK didn’t even end the legal oppression of blacks, that was Lincoln and LBJ. MLK May have helped out but he didn’t end it. Many evangelical churches see John Calvin as a great theologian yet; he is represented as a mean person. Many believe John Calvin is the founder of a new religion called ‘Calvinism’. Calvin never started a new religion called Calvinism, he simply taught the Bible. Then who started Calvinism? C. H. Spurgeon gives the answer below.

"We only use the term "Calvinism" for shortness. That doctrine which is called "Calvinism" did not spring from Calvin; we believe that it sprang from the great founder of all truth. Perhaps Calvin himself derived it mainly from the writings of Augustine. Augustine obtained his views, without doubt, through the Holy Spirit of God, from diligent study of the writings of Paul, and Paul received them from the Holy Ghost and from Jesus Christ, the great founder of the Christian Church. We use the term then, not because we impute an extraordinary importance to Calvin's having taught these doctrines. We would be just as willing to call them by any other name, if we could find one which would be better understood, and which on the whole would be as consistent with the fact." (C.H Spurgeon)

Some believe, Calvin wrote the ‘five points of Calvinism.’ This is also false. Calvin never wrote the 5 points of Calvinism. It was written 54 years after the death. Then the Arminians made their five points first. In November 13, 1618, 39 pastors, 18 ruling elders, 5 professors and 19 delegates were invited to settle this issue at Synod of Dort. It lasted for seven months. What was the result? Arminianism was unanimously rejected and condemned. The five theological points of Calvinism were formulated to answer the five points of Arminianism.
Also some say, John Calvin was against evangelism and Calvinism is a threat for evangelism. This is not true as we are going to see the real John Calvin. The majority of the modern evangelical church is representing John Calvin as a mean, unloving, uncaring dangerous man. But let us see the truth and nothing but the truth of John Calvin, then you will be amazed to see all the bad things what you have heard and what you may hear of John Calvin is not true. Although Calvin was a shy and a reserved person he was very different when he was behind the pulpit. His heart was inflamed for the word of God and became a great preacher, Calvin believed he was never at the pulpit by himself; he speaks of the hidden energy. The power of the Holy Spirit was there with him and the Spirits energy energized him in preaching and in the ministry. He expounded books of the Bible, a passage at a time, day after day. Also, he taught Bible studies on a regular weekly basis. John Calvin did pastoral counseling. He ministered people during the times of trials. He presided over meetings in the church. He conducted weddings and baptisms. John Calvin was a great pastor, many are unaware of this as many think he was only a theologian away from the public, not having any concern for the people but writing theology in a corner. This is wrong, this is not John Calvin. But the true John Calvin got his hands dirty in the lives of people. John Calvin was a great theologian and theology got deep rooted in his heart and it affected his life to become a great pastor and he loved the people.

Outside the pulpit, John Calvin was a loving, kindhearted man. In his correspondence letters, he speaks of his pastoral activities. He had a great pastors’ heart. He wrote a letter to a friend whose wife was dying. But Calvin went to her deathbed every single day and read Psalms to her. Calvin gave encouraging loving words from the Bible. Calvin wrote as pastors we aught to weep those who weep. He had such compassion and sorrow for his neighbors and shared their tears. There was another time where he wrote a letter to a man who went to share the gospel in France (Roman Catholic territory) But this man was arrested by the Roman Catholic church and was sentenced to death. John Calvin knew this man and he wrote to this man of a very encouraging letter, he wished to partaker of his troubles and if worst would happen he would like to be united with him in heaven, he embraced his dear friend. Calvin as a pastor was able to emotionally connect with their pain, he was able to understand their pain, then he was able to point to the true source of consolation who is our Sovereign Lord. This is great pastoral counseling.

John Calvin and Michael Servetus

Michael Servetus was a notorious heretic as he denied the deity of Christ and the Trinity. Servetus was arrested in France but he was able to escape France and made his way to Geneva. Red-pilling the White masses is therefore a lot like dieting and working out. You don't notice the progress on a day by day basis, but if you compare your progress on a month by month or year by year basis - then you'll more easily recognize the transformation.
I remember what the political landscape and zeitgeist was like back in 2008. It was extremely grim from a pro-White perspective because not even race and IQ statistics were accepted by the fringe right. But now a very sizable percentage of the American population has been red-pilled about race and IQ due in large part to our extremely inexpensive online activism, and the average White person is increasingly realizing that Whites are on the losing end of this equation where everyone but Whites is allowed to engage in identity politics.

So, it's pretty safe to assume that the White masses will be even more red-pilled in 2028 and even more red-pilled than that in 2038. By 2040, we might actually have successfully won over a majority of White Americans. And by then we'll have access to a massive amount of financial resources and political infrastructures.
The next key step in our growth is inspiring the creation of a moderate pro-White movement which is socially palatable and mainstream. And that's when financial resources will become more vital to our political success.

But even that can be misleading because a lot of times governments will actually go out of their way to sprinkle "cultural enrichment" throughout their small rural communities as well. You can be out in the middle of Bumblefuck, Nowhere, and all of the sudden your central government will pay your local Christian organizations to host thousands of Somali "refugees", which will completely change your quiet town.
And we White Americans were in a similar mindset of complacency and denial back in the 1970s and 1980s. We didn't even consider the possibility that we'd become minorities in our own country, and so we stupidly went along with the Jewish conspiracy [1][2][3] to carry out a soft genocide against White Americans through mass non-White immigration and demographic displacement. Now White babies are a minority in America, Whites are minorities in about half of our major cities (with many more cities being on the verge of becoming White minority), and Whites of all ages are on track to comprising less than 25% of the American population by the end of this century. Learn from our complacency and rise up against the race traitors in your society while you still have a chance to stop them, or else you'll suddenly wake up one day and realize that you lost your country

As th Bible explains, the Sabbath was made for man. It was the Pharisees (also not always a reasonable group) that raised the complete absence of work on the Sabbath. The priests had always worked on the Sabbath. It was also the Pharisees that made Saturday the Sabbath. If you searched God's word (instead of man's ideas), you will find no such mention.

Why is it that sinful man seems to want to judge a holy God? Feeling guilty?

If you genuinely believe that her upbringing caused her to be gay then I think the blame is with her parents not her. Likewise if this church believes that parents cause homosexuality then the parents should be excluded, not their children or their grandchildren.
I dont know you and I dont know your lesbian family member. I do think it would be impossible that you telling her she is going to hell because she is gay will not have disrupted your relationship with her. Likewise my heart goes out to those families who have been damaged by this ruling.
I have read the whole bible through many times and I do not see anywhere where it mentions gay people. There are a couple of verses where same sex sex is condemned (and no doubt we would disagree on the interpretation there). I dont think the point of the bible is to condemn people for personal characteristics or things about them they have no power to change. I think it is primarily about salvation for all people. Sin is largely a matter for chosen behaviours. It seems to me that your family member didnt choose to be gay (even by your own account) and yet you condemn her for it. It also seems to me that the bible calls us to love our enemies and love in the bible means putting other people first, even if we disagree with them.
When I asked how your love for this lady was manifest, your answer was that you were praying for her to become straight. I think a great sin of the modern church is that it is now teaching that love is no more than prayers for salvation or "speaking the truth in love". That is simply not what Jesus taught. It is not what the apostles taught either. It is a teaching that is anti Christian and is damaging our society in very obvious ways.

Arthur Miskelly: The word “couple” is a collective noun, therefore singular and should be preceded by the singular pronoun “is” not the plural “are”. Having got the grammar lesson out of the road, I never told her that her sexuality would send her to hell. I told her that she needed to repent of it. The only sin which sends people to hell is the rejection of Christ’s sacrifice. I really would suggest that you read the posts more carefully, or else you may make a fool of yourself.

petej: You’ve repeatedly implied, if not said outright, that all gay people are going to hell. Orientation is not something someone can repent from because she has no more power to become attracted to men than you do to change the colour of your hair. Blaming her for something that isn’t her fault and that she has no power to change is unfair and it is almost certainly damaging her relationship with you and with God. If you tell people that they have to become straight before they can have a relationship with God then, if they believe you, they won’t have a relationship with God if they are unable to make themselves straight. I’d also like to encourage you to be a bit more civil and respectful to me. I haven’t used any insults towards you so it would be good if you could keep yours to a minimum.
