Bill Nye, TV's “The Science Guy,” often speaks out about climate change, something he believes is cause for much alarm. Well, he tackled the topic again in a recent video that uses “emoji” to explain climate change as part of the General Electric Emoji Science campaign. Now, late last year he did a video which attempted to teach evolution using emojis. You can read my thoughts about that video here.

In this video on climate change Bill Nye states that “climate change is a real deal.” I agree with Mr. Nye—climate change is real. Few people would deny that climates do indeed change, since changing climates are something we can observe in the world around us. For example, beginning in medieval times and ending by about 1850 there was a period of global cooling called the “Little Ice Age.” Since then, temperatures have been slowly climbing back up. So climates do change. But, while we might agree that climate change is real, Mr. Nye and I would radically disagree on the severity and alarming nature of climate change because we have completely different starting points.

You see, what you believe about the past (historical science) determines how you interpret the observational evidence. Since Bill Nye believes the earth is billions of years old, he likely assumes (as most evolutionists do) that the climate has been relatively stable for the last 10,000 years, since the end of the last supposed glacial period. Since our climate is now changing, many secularists assume that modern man must be the primary cause and, if this is true, then this certainly is cause for alarm. But as Christians we start with a completely different account of Earth’s history—the history recorded in God’s Word. According to God’s Word, the earth is only around 6,000 years old. But the climate was radically changed about 4,350 years ago when the earth was catastrophically reshaped by the global Flood of Noah’s day. This Flood even caused an Ice Age, which covered 30% of Earth’s surface with ice and snow. This transitional period then eased out to give way to the climate we now have today. So we should expect minor variations in our climate, and these changes are not necessarily man-made. So, unlike most evolutionists, we are not alarmed by reports of changing climates.

Now, in his video Bill Nye made reference to an increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere since the mid-eighteenth century. Many climate change alarmists will point to this rise in CO2 as evidence of dramatic man-made climate change. But is CO2 really the cause of climate change and global warming? Well, Dr. Alan White, an organic chemist with a PhD from Harvard University, writes in The New Answers Book 4,

We do know that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gases act as a blanket over the earth. When sunlight heats the earth’s surface, the warm earth radiates some of that heat into the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases slow the escape of that radiated heat. You have been led to believe that the most important greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide. It is not. Water vapor and clouds are actually responsible for about 80 to 90 percent of the total greenhouse effect. That’s right, at least 80 percent. That is why clear mornings are usually much colder than cloudy mornings. On clear mornings, we do not have that blanket of clouds to hold in the heat. The percentage of the greenhouse effect attributable to CO2 is believed to be as high as 20 percent by some and as low as 4 percent by others. Almost everyone agrees that the percent of CO2 that is man-made is only about 4 percent of total CO2. Therefore, the greenhouse effect caused by man-made CO2 is less than 1 percent of the total and may be a small fraction of 1 percent.

Despite this, many scientists today claim that the rise in man-made CO2 is the major cause of the rise in global temperatures over the past century. Just because global temperature and CO2 concentrations have risen over the past several decades does not mean that one caused the other . . . . The correlation between the CO2 concentration and global temperature is not strong, particularly between 1900 and 1950 . . . [and] man-made CO2 was not high during the Medieval Warming Period. These data are not convincing.


So should we really be alarmed about rising carbon dioxide levels destroying our climate? Well, the observational data is certainly not convincing that we should be greatly concerned.

Bill Nye then mentioned some possible ways to stop supposed man-made climate change by suggesting we need to engineer new ways to distribute and store renewable energy from the sun and wind. Now, should Christians be against renewable energy? Of course not! We have been placed as stewards of the earth, and so we need to care for what God has entrusted to us. This means that Christians should be concerned about the environment and take steps to ensure that we are good stewards of what we have been given.

As I was driving home recently I noticed the law in my rear view mirror. I immediately glanced to see if I was travelling at the right speed. Thankfully, I was. The immediate presence of the law has the effect of us wanting to keep the law.

If, however, I had been speeding, the presence of the law behind me would have produced a concern about me being apprehended.

The United States has forsaken God's Law (the Ten Commandments), and that's why we have lawlessness everywhere: adultery, theft, murder, rape, fornication, greed, godlessness, corruption, idolatry, homosexuality, pornography, blasphemy, etc.

So what about God?  He’s the One who designed us to be so self-serving.  Is our selfishness part of our God stamp?  Yes, it is, for God is an extremely selfish Being and everything that He does has a Self-benefiting reason behind it (see The Gift of Ego).  But unlike us, God isn’t plagued by needs which only external parties can satisfy.  We humans have a desperate need to be liked by at least some of our fellow creatures.  We need to have friends, we need emotional connection, we need mental stimulation and physical touch.  We have a long list of needs that we can’t satisfy without the help of others.  When other humans treat us badly, we try to find ways to live without them, but those ways never work out.  Our imaginary friends just aren’t as satisfying as real ones.  We try to drown out the needs of our souls by obsessing over material things, but when we come across a stranger who gives us his undivided attention, we suddenly realize how empty and unsatisfied we feel.  We need relationships with other humans.  We need a relationship with God even more, but does He need us?  No, He doesn’t.

God wants us, but He doesn’t need us, and this makes us feel very insecure in our relationships with Him.  After all, if we can’t identify some way that we’re enticing God to stay with us, what’s preventing Him from leaving us?  The truth is that nothing is keeping God from leaving us.  Because God doesn’t depend on us in anyway, He could uncreate us all at anytime and not be bothered in the slightest.  We only exist because God is choosing for us to exist, and He is only choosing for us to exist because it pleases Him to do so.  His pleasure isn’t based on the fact that He feels some desperate need to be with us.  But at the same time, His lack of need doesn’t mean His love for us is some shallow, fickle thing.

How tenacious can love be if it is not based on need?  Isn’t it our need to avoid some overwhelming sense of loss that motivates us to persevere in the midst of miserable relationships?  Whenever you see humans hanging on in the face of some intense misery, it’s because they’ve found some prize within that misery that they’ve decided they cannot live without.  Maybe he does smack her around, but at least he puts a roof over her head and provides for her material needs.  Maybe she does nag him to death, but it’s better than being alone.  Yet when we look at how God treats us, we don’t find this kind of doormat tolerance anywhere in the mix.  To God, our lives on earth are a mere blip on the eternal timeline.  That one little blip is all the time He gives us to submit to Him, and if we don’t rush to align with His demands, He hurls us into Hell (see The Illusion of God’s Long-Suffering Patience).  God’s utter lack of dependency on us is clearly communicated by the high He gets off of eternally tormenting those who defy Him (see Why God Loves Hell).  If God needed us to like Him or worship Him, as some imply that He does, Hell would not exist.

My Day At The Supreme Court

I woke up today with a sick feeling and felt vital life draining out of me.

It was confirmed by the news that 4 JEW judges on our nation's highest bench: Ginsburg, Kagan, Breyer, Sotomayor, voted AGAINST God's creation ordinance of marriage between a man and a woman for the propagation of the human race.

After holding high the Holy Cross all day at Pennsylvania Avenue and 9th as well as at Constitution and Pennsylvania, I felt a strong impetus to go to the Supreme Court.

I arrived at SCOTUS at 3 PM. The rainbow flags were out and the homosexuals (mostly teens, twenty year olds, and, of course, JEWS), were celebrating.

There was a huge sign, held by Jews, which said, "The Bible discriminates against Gays."

I walked up the steps and started slicing the Supreme Court building with the Cross and pronounced an ANATHEMA on it.

I started preaching from St Paul's censure of homosexuality in his Epistle to the Church at Rome, Chapter 1.

"The 4 Jew judges and Kennedy voted against God today," I proclaimed, "and have brought God's displeasure on our country."

I continued, "Ginsburg, Kagan, Breyer, Sotomayor... the same people who crucified Christ are crucifying America."

An ugly Jew in his 60s started opposing me but he could not stop me nor the many who listened to me.

One homosexual young person yelled out to me, challenging me, "Are you hoping we go to Hell?" "Is America going to Hell?" he mockingly smirked.

Then all the homosexuals started laughing.

I got down on my knees and said, "Not if we as a people repent of ALL of our sins."

This totally disarmed them, they were silenced, and prople started coming up to me and thanked me.

The separation of church and state means that the government cannot CREATE it's own religion or otherwise make itself a dictator of religion. It is not a clause that allows religion to be struck from the public square, nor does it allow for the persecution of people with religious beliefs. The Constitution guarantees that people have the right to express their religion publicly.

Atheists, communists, progressives, homosexuals....they have deliberately and intentionally misconstrued the First Amendment because they refuse to live by the moral code found in religion. They have fought to get it taken out of the public square and out of the Constitution as a right. Go through all the damage done by these people, and also look at their behaviors at any given time. They lie, cheat, practice immoral sex acts, and they all just plain act immorally, unethically and unconscionably. And they do so because they do not accept the religion or its adherence to a moral code. To them, this is proper behavior; and unlike those who have religious beliefs, they have no intention of ending their illicit behaviors. Those of us who do have a moral conscience understand that we also partake in bad, immoral behavior, but we concede such, ask for forgiveness, repent, respond as Jesus asked us to..."to sin no more."

Separation of church and state is NOT in the Constitution or any where else in government documents. Jefferson ONLY mentioned it once in his response to the Baptists, the so-called veil of separation, meaning the government would not go after the Baptists if they had a cake sale after church services on Sunday. As it was a part of the Baptists church activities, Jefferson told them to go ahead. In those days, if you knew your history, commercial activities were not allowed on Sundays...it was a day for church and family. THIS is the true meaning of separation of church and state as Jefferson wrote it simply to a specific request to allow commercial activities on Sunday. His simple response, which has been taken soooo out of context, was merely confirmation that the state/government WOULD NOT INTERFERE IN CHURCH ACTIVITIES!

The church(es) don't stay out of government business...they have hospitals, schools, and other institutions and organizations to help the poor, to provide adoptions, and to be a part of the government in very many ways.

Most importantly, beyond any reasonable doubt, is the INTENT of the Founders/Framers of how this government would work and what its powers were. Foremost is the fact they based our government and founding documents on Christian/Judeo beliefs. The Declaration of Independence makes this pluperfectly clear: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,..." That means that GOD endowed us with the unalienable rights of life, liberty and PURSUIT of happiness...NOT the government. And what GOD has given us, no government can take away. Our entire government is based on this declaration.

Further, the Declaration also states: "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed." WHAT THAT MEANS is that when we find ourselves in a government that usurps our declaration, when the Government rules however it wants with total disregard to our rights, when the people find the government is ruling us by changing our laws for "light and transient" causes (such as SCOTUS did with gay marriage!), then "WE THE PEOPLE" have the right to ABOLISH this government and institute a new government that will act accordingly to our Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

THAT, my friend, is what separation of church and state means.

God didn't create homosexuals. He created all of us in His image, which does NOT reflect back as homosexual. What they do to and with their bodies is against all natural laws and He does not approve. He's proven that in bibilical writings. What is true is that God only gives us crosses that we can bear. So if, due to problems in the womb because of the mother's lifestyle, or the environment, or whatever else could impact the fetus, obviously their cross would be to deal with their mental illness. Not go out and sodomize their friends and then demand we all take God out of our lives and legalize queer marriage.

One thing that bothers me about the homosexual lifestyle that no one talks about these days because it's not politically correct, and may soon be a crime, is the mental health aspect of it. I have friends who are licensed counselors who have told me that the removal of homosexuality from the DSM as a mental illness/disorder was done for purely political reasons. Everything I have read and observed about homosexuality causes me to agree although psychology is not my field of work. The Bible's prohibition against homosexual behavior is because of God's love for us. Again, it's not a popular opinion these days, but I have personally never encountered an incidence of homosexuality that did not arise from trauma caused by sexual, physical, mental, or emotional abuse. Never. If you start looking at the life of a homosexual, the pattern is that the brokenness of a trusted adult or authority figure in one's life resulted in trauma, producing further brokenness that leads to homosexual behavior in a certain percentage of the population. I think the term "conversion" therapy is inaccurate; instead, what counseling actually does for the individual who experiences unwanted homosexual ideation or behavior is healing for a wounded soul. A soul wounded by sin. Underneath all the pride (shame) is a heart hurt by innumerable and severe grievances. This is why God hates sin and explains why we also cannot tolerate sin. Sin always damages; sin is contrary to God's natural order (which man corrupted and introduced to the human race back in the Garden of Eden).

Some may yet come to find healing in Jesus Christ when even "marriage" does not satisfy the longing in the homosexual's heart. I think it would help us in our prayer lives to understand that much of the push for societal acceptance (beyond the spiritual/demonic reasons for the push to accept sin as normal) is because of the rate of mental illness in the homosexual community. Many people think the incidence of mental illness in homosexuals is because society doesn't accept them enough and so it stands to follow, according to their logic, that acceptance of same-sex marriage will decrease incidences of suicide, alcoholism, promiscuity, etc. In reality, because the prevailing/majority religion of our day, secular humanism, says there's no such thing as sin, it never occurs to them that these behaviors and illnesses exist because the homosexual lifestyle is sinful and is one produced out of sin and is therefore under the curse of sin (I want to make it clear that it's not God who brings this curse...it is solely because of evil...but God does not rescue us from our consequences, that is, we reap what we sow). Same-sex marriage will not heal the emotional wounds in the homosexual's heart because covering up one sin with another does nothing to quell the damage dealt to the heart inside. Sin cannot, will not, and has never healed sin. Only the blood of Jesus can do that.

Since sin leads to suffering, I wonder if we won't see just the opposite effect - an increase in the co-morbidity of mental illnesses associated with homosexuality. When that occurs, the heart of man will continue to ignore the real factor - SIN - and instead will go after those who preach and teach - TRUTH. For all of their outward pride, the inward shame still eats them alive, not to mention the sadness they experience caused by past hurts and "old" wounds that have never really healed and, therefore, are still fresh in their hearts and minds, wounds that have not scarred over, wounds that still bleed. We need to pray for these hurting people, speaking the truth in love; and, in this way, we have compassion on the LGBT crowd more than the apostate church who seeks to approve their sin (which is not up to them but rather is up to God who, by the way, never changes. Never believe the lie of the world and the apostate church that we are "homophobes" or hateful people. We know and have a love of the truth). Not all the wandering hearts in the LGBT community have been overtaken by evil, and are just as lost and confused as we once were. Still, many hearts will be hardened because the SCOTUS ruling validates an invalid lifestyle/union not blessed by God.

This ruling has ramifications for our brothers and sisters in Christ doing God's work to undo the damage caused by sin. They will eventually be told that they cannot offer or provide their services to homosexuals, even to people who experience unwanted same-sex attraction, lest their licenses be revoked.

Well I was thinking very hard to vote for Ben Carson first, Rand Paul second, or Bobby Jindal. I now will NOT vote for any one who says that they have to "Abide" by the law of the land. If the law of the land goes against GOD'S Law and the Law of Nature than I will NOT vote for that person. The "Law" of the land is bent on destroying our Country and the freedom that we hold dear and that our Forefathers fought hard for and gave their lives for. Not to mention my own flesh and blood fighting for our freedoms. And to vote for a man or women that will not stand for GOD'S Laws first. It's insanity and suicidal. If Homosexuals want to be together in a civil union that's one thing but to use the Government and the Supreme Court to shove it down our throats and force us to believe and stand for something that is wrong in Biblical Law and Natural Law and comes against my freedom of speech or freedom to disagree or freedom of Religion and be discriminated against and HATED for it than NO! Congress better get it together and take a stand with this issue and do something about it because in the first place their the ones that need to make this right. Not the Government and not the Supreme Court. But now I know who NOT to vote for because like I said if they cannot stand for GOD'S Law's first and even know and have the common sense of the Law of Nature, to know what a bad idea this is for the Human Race on a whole. Even Ben Carson should know medically what this means for the Homosexual Community regarding sexually transmitted diseases and cancer's. NO! I would be sinning against GOD and man to vote for some one who will not obey GOD first. Just like with Ester in the Bible do these men or women think that their own Religious freedoms or freedom of speech or even the right to disagree is not going to be effected just because they will not stand for what is right and true. If they allow this to stand not only America would be effected by it but they and their families are going to be effected by it mark my words.

The NY Times within a day after the SCOTUS decision laid out the next “LGBT” battle plan — to make homosexual behavior and gender confusion “civil rights” under “non-discrimination” laws. Does this anger you as much as it does me?

Sodomy is NOT a civil right!

We must not let more of these bills pass, because these laws at the state and local level have provided the weapons to close bakeries, enact hefty fines, and propel unwarranted lawsuits against florists and photographers.

So what do we do?

Call your REPUBLICAN representatives in state and federal office and tell them you will not support them in the next election if they vote for any such law. Call your state representatives if you live in a state where such a law has not yet passed, and call every U.S congressional representative. Call them if there is a specific bill pending or even if there’s not. They will get the message.

“ENDA” non-discrimination bills are not “compassionate” policies. They are built on phony claims of trumped-up victimology where actual stats on job losses are never enumerated, anecdotes abound and ridiculous fables are unveiled.

Please understand that whenever you identify yourself as being “pro-choice,” or whenever you make that exception for rape, what that really translates into is you being able to stand before me, look me in the eye, and say to me, “I think your mother should have been able to abort you.” That’s a pretty powerful statement. I would never say anything like that to someone. I would say never to someone, “If I had my way, you’d be dead right now.” But that is the reality with which I live. I challenge anyone to describe for me how it’s not. It’s not like people say, “Oh well, I‘m pro-choice except for that little window of opportunity in 1968/69, so that you, Rebecca, could have been born.” No — this is the ruthless reality of that position, and I can tell you that it hurts and it’s mean. But I know that most people don’t put a face to this issue. For them, it’s just a concept a quick cliche, and they sweep it under the rug and forget about it. I do hope that, as a child of rape, I can help to put a face, a voice, and a story to this issue.


In law school, I’d also have classmates say things to me like, “Oh well! If you’d been aborted, you wouldn’t be here today, and you wouldn’t know the difference anyway, so what does it matter?” Believe it or not, some of the top pro-abortion philosophers use that same kind of argument: “The fetus never knows what hits him, so there’s no such fetus to miss his life.” So I guess as long as you stab someone in the back while he’s sleeping, then it’s okay, because he doesn’t know what hits him?! I’d explain to my classmates how their same logic would justify me killing you today, because you wouldn’t be here tomorrow, and you wouldn’t know the difference anyway, so what does it matter?" And they’d just stand there with their jaws dropped. It’s amazing what a little logic can do, when you really think this thing through -- like we were supposed to be doing in law school -- and consider what we’re really talking about: there are lives who are not here today because they were aborted. It’s like the old saying: “If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise?” Well, yeah! And if a baby is aborted, and no one else is around to know about it, does it matter? The answer is, YES! Their lives matter.

Psalm 2 speaks of rulings such as this one—natural rulers and unbelievers who rebel against God's governmental yoke, and against his Son. The warning is strong, even terrifying, describing His anger and the destruction He will bring to them. Verse number 10 is especially appropriate at this time: "Take warning, you judges of the earth." Indeed, there is a Highest Court presided over by "the Ancient of Days" (Dan. 7:9-11, 22). Whether they know it or not, every judge on the Supreme Court of America will one day bow before God (Phil. 2:10-11) and give an account for every ruling they make. And included in that accounting will be the fruit of those rulings, such as: aborted babies; His influence being removed from schools and public places, resulting in millions of young people not knowing Him and His ways; and the redefining of His marriage covenant, resulting in the breakdown of families, along with the devastating effect this will have on children.

And who could ever forget the mocking spirit demonstrated by our president when he decorated the White House with rainbow colors. Using one of God's covenantal symbols, a symbol now used by the LGBT movement, President Obama delivered one of the most arrogant, in-your-face gestures ever performed by an American president. Knowing fully the anguish millions of Christians were experiencing over this ruling, and knowing the insult this act would be to those millions of Americans, he chose to decorate the White House in this gay and lesbian symbolism. When asked during a press conference to comment on the ruling (and other "victories" he experienced last week), he reinforced his arrogance and insensitivity. Refusing to back down, He lauded this inexcusable act, speaking of it as "a moment worth savoring." I can assure our president there will come a time when he will not savor that moment. The rainbow does not belong to any earthly movement but is a sacred symbol of one of God's covenants. And the definition he just helped redefine was written by God, not a person. It was not only the Church and millions of Americans that were mocked; it was also Almighty God. And I can assure you; He will have the final say.
