Next year, will the Schaumburg librarians display photos of empty shelves where books that challenge Leftist assumptions about the nature and morality of homosexuality should be (you know, pro-heterosexuality/pro-heteronormativity books)?

Will they ask for young adult (YA) novels about teens who feel sadness and resentment about being intentionally deprived of a mother or father and who seek to find their missing biological parents?

Will they ask for dark, angsty novels about teens who are damaged by the promiscuity of their “gay” “fathers” who hold sexual monogamy in disdain?

Will they ask for novels about young adults who are consumed by a sense of loss and bitterness that their politically correct and foolish parents allowed them during the entirety of their childhood to cross-dress, change their names, and take medication to prevent puberty, thus deforming their bodies?

Will they ask for novels about teens who suffer because of the harrowing fights and serial “marriages” of their lesbian mothers?

Will they ask for picture books that show the joy a little birdie experiences when after the West Nile virus deaths of her two daddies, she’s finally adopted by a daddy and mommy?

Surely, there are some teens and children who will identify with such stories.

Phil Robertson, one of the stars of the "Duck Dynasty" reality TV show, says Islamic militants waging a campaign of war and terror in Syria and Iraq either need some Jesus or need to be killed.

"In this case, you either have to convert them, which I think would be next to impossible. I'm not giving up on them, but I'm just saying either convert them or kill them," Robertson said on the Fox News show "Hannity" on Tuesday night. "One or the other."

Robertson compared ISIS to "street gangs, street thugs on steroids" and said "we're going to have to deal with this group way more harshly than we have up to this point."

"Because they're so harsh," host Sean Hannity added. "I know there are going to be people always looking to jump on you and say 'convert them or kill them,' and they're going to say 'there goes Phil Robertson again.' I know the media. I know how they act."

Robertson said his first choice is Jesus.

"I'd much rather have a Bible study with all of them and show them the error of their ways and point them to Jesus Christ," Robertson said. "However, if it's a gunfight and a gunfight alone, if that's what they're looking for, me personally, I am prepared for either one."

Robertson had a Bible with him on the set and quoted scripture throughout in the interview. However, it's not clear which passage he may have been referring to with his call for conversion or death.

ISIS militants have carried out forced conversions of their own while taking control of towns with non-Islamic populations and killing those who have refused. In some cases, women of other faiths have been ordered to not only convert to Islam but also leave their husbands and marry jihadi fighters.

Members of other faiths have also been fleeing from their homes as Islamic militants advance on their communities.

[PBS aired the documentary film After Tiller.]

It's time to defund PBS, an American taxpayer subsidized abortion propaganda machine. Don't take this lightly. PBS is part of the abortion industry's campaign to destigmatize the slaughter of innocent unborn children. If this ever occurs, the million-plus American children destroyed by human abortion every year will skyrocket. What will your legacy be?

Contact your congressional representatives today and let them know that you don't want your tax dollars going to an organization that doesn't support basic human rights - the Right to Life.

I declare we SHOULD shame single mothers.

(Without the fathers consent and an inability to support it herself)

Okay sounds horrible right. However if you agree with the premise that this is a problem and this is on the increase and without something being done, we are most likely going to end up in a country / world in a complete mess. At some point we will need to do something about it. Here are the other options that spring to mind:

Forcing sterilization / abortions.

Well we can’t afford them, we can’t feed ourselves any more. We need to stop them before the kid is born. You can either start sterilizing people and get them to apply to have it reversed or we can start state enforced abortions.

Leaving children to starve in the street.

Stop all funding to help children and let them starve in the streets. This is already pretty common place in 3rd world countries and we know how pretty that looks.

Start killing people.

People are getting in this nasty habit of living longer and longer these days and if we are pumping out more and more kids that are just so damn cute. then we need to get rid of some of the people that kicking around. We could do this on a merit based system, money based system or just get rid of anyone over a certain age

Social conservatives understand women's mental inadequacies, though they don't always openly identify them. When you "liberate" women from having to marry men, and from having to submit to their authority out of natural necessity, women don't mysteriously become "strong" enough to make it on their own. They still need what men have to offer: material support, social status, and most especially, the benefits of men's relatively stronger self-discipline and rationality for running a life that makes sense and keeps you out of trouble.

When women reject these things from men in marriage, they still need them nonetheless, so they turn to the state as a kind of substitute husband. Yet given women's defective judgment, they tend to vote for defective politicians who have good game. And therefore the management of the country under feminism and women's suffrage begins a long decline as the new order of affairs consumes more and more of the society's capital built up and saved during the preceding age of patriarchy.

So that explains why social conservatives want to roll back women's sexual freedom. They think like economists, and they realize that this freedom has costs in terms of political and economic freedoms which over the long run have more value.

Well Min [another forum user], you asked for a prophecy date.
I am going to give you one.
I now have enough info to step out and declare it.
I have been looking for the day of Departure since I heard about it and read about it in the Bible over 40 years ago.
I always thought I was "Focused", now I found I have a touch of OCD.

Depending on the time zone you are in - the Rapture (the day no man knows- an idiom for Rosh Hashanah) will be within 24 hours of the 25th of September 2014.

The Tribulation began on my birthday in '08 with Obama's promise on national TV seen by 33 (highest # in the occult) million people- to CHANGE the nation and the world.
His covenant/promise was verified by the nation upon his election.

Just as the Jews were given a choice at the "Trial" of Jesus, in the same way- America chose the criminal.
Don't blame God. He was involved with the choice but He did not make it.

(Nearly no one in Christendom grasps that we are currently IN the Trib.
The teaching among those who actually believe the bible (rather than the lies of tradition) is that 7 year period begins with the Departure.)

In the book of Daniel, the false Messiah is prophesied to CHANGE the laws, note that Mr. Obama's platform in '08 was a single word- CHANGE. He has been changing laws illegally via executive order since elected.

On the Five Doves website there was supposition that something big should occur on Oct 29 of the election year, because they had dialed back 7 biblical years from Sept 23 2015 Yom Kippor.
I think they were calculating back from their projected date of the 2nd Coming.
There are a couple of numbers geniuses on the Doves- I just listen.
So when Oct.29 (my birth day) passed with just O's infomercial - one of the guys said- "could this have been the "Covenant with many?"-
We started looking intently at Daniel, there was no mention of Israel - the commonly held co-joiner of the covenant.
The deal/ agreement/ covenant was indeed with many - millions and O.

Interesting to me that my anniversary at work is the 22nd of Sept and being that Y.K. 2015 begins the evening before-
that would be on my hire date.
My clock number at work for all these decades has been 501- the same as the gematria of BHO in Hebrew.
Not a co-incidence.
I have come to understand my destiny was to reveal his destiny and the truth of the Gospel.

The spark for this crazy post began last week.
The gnawing perception was in my mind, that this is Noah's second day- just as he went UP over the coming flood- so are those who are accounted righteous - going UP over the disasters of the conclusion of this age.

My thoughts were- there is not enough time left for 7 years. 3 and a half years do not fit because Jesus is fulfilling the FALL feasts ( moed/ rehearsals)- not the spring feasts that were fulfilled 2000 years ago.
There are 3 feasts to be fulfilled- Rosh Hashanah is next.
Idioms from Judiasim- Trumpets/ the day no man knows/ the day of judgement/ the day of the awakening blast/ the hidden day/ the opening of the gates/ the day of the last trump/ the day of coronation of the King/ the wedding of Messiah.

Part of the above paragraph is common knowledge among those of us who are "Watching" but that was not enough for me to post this.
Confirmation came over the weekend via a couple of internet related sources that this year is the year I have been waiting for all this time.

The Rapture / Resurrection will begin the great Harvest that is the end of the age.
I was praying yesterday that justice and truth comes to the terrorists - ISIL and the word came to me- no- These wicked ones are gathering together- they have made their final choice and will be exterminated soon.
The typical method of God's communication w/ me is perception and the bible, occasionally a word.
Some people get dreams/words/ visions, synchronistic signs.
There is always an element of faith involved though (I would prefer it to be like you guys, right out/direct/face to face), but that is the way it is.

What is coming is not the end of the world.
The world never ends - it does get new management.

What we see going on is not false labor- the ever increasing earthquakes, the evil of Islam exposed, mass animal fish and bird die offs, the AC and FP are here, on and on it goes, are the real labor pains.

Half the professing Christians do not go up with the Heavenly Bridegroom.
He takes all the little ones too- flower children I suppose.

This post is your second invitation here on AF to enter the Ark- Jesus.

Both the ark of Noah and the body of Jesus had an opening in the side.
The blood of Jesus which flowed from His side made our Redemption possible.
There is still time for each of you to enter the ark and miss what is coming, but if you don't, please be a part of His harvest dead ahead.

If they would truly believe in Moses, they would follow God's Commandments and they would believe in the only true Messiah, our Lord Jesus-Christ.

But according to Scriptures, they will (probably in a near future) lament for their deicide and for their sins (after being purified by God).

God doesn't change His mind: He punish His chosen people and He threw them out temporarily in order to let the Gentiles in.

Wherever you go Judaism is in our faces.

Go to the White House and there's a Passover Seder.

Go outside the White House and there's a Hanukkah Menorah.

On the campaign trail Rand Paul 'sucks up' at a Jewish Yeshiva.

And turn on the TV and the HoloHoax gets prime time.

But why would any country, candidate, or celebrity want anything to do with Judaism when Jesus Christ pronounced four curses on it:

The Curses of Disinheritance, the Fig Tree, Desolation, and Deicide.

[...]

Exalting Judaism gets applause, votes, and good press. But according to Jesus it will land you in Hell.

I call on all Jews to repent and the curses will be lifted.

I did. Why don't they?

(Replying to a commenter's questions)

It’s not circular at all. Traditional patriarchal cultures do objectify women to some degree for the reasons I’ve listed above. I don’t mind female vanity all that much but what bothers me is the hypocrisy. Women shamelessly objectify themselves like never before and then place all the blame on men and society. ?

**Also, the suggesting that childbirth is the primary function of women as viewed by society is highly suspect given A) the short time span they can reproduce and B) the massive amount of other things they do.**

I’m not suggesting that women aren’t capable of anything but reproduction. All I’m saying is those other functions are secondary. I guess nature is sexist. What a shame.

**Also, why are men not viewed the same way if that’s the function, as babies don’t come from simply a woman?**

Because men have occupied their time with other activities like constructing monuments, articulating philosophy, nation building etc.?

**Why is it feminism’s fault that traditional marriage has eroded?**

Undermining gender roles, getting women to put career before kids, and punitive divorce laws in women’s favor tend to do that to marriage. Good wives are not born, they are made. ?

**We can’t slow down the national debt one iota, but a small percentage of women have decimated marriage? Highly suspect.**

A small percentage of women with lots of elite backing.

Quiet, you are not oppressed. By any sane standard (by that I mean thousands of years of human history) you are very fortunate to be alive right now.

You are aware, I hope, that homosexuality was considered a sin. Then, not so long ago, a mental disorder. Now, its warmly embraced (is that the right choice of words?) by the most powerful man in the world, with legal protection, and even preferment. So, when we hear that man/boy love is a mental illness today one can’t help but ponder the future. And, as you know, blacks, being obsessively jealous of THEIR fake-victim status will have to up the stakes to reparations. Then, feminists, not wanting to feel left behind, will demand more Muslims imported (preferably black ones), simultaneously carpet bomb them elsewhere, while sexist, racist, bigoted white men are beheaded or abandoned on rooftops fighting for their lives.

But, that’s really not the point. Its not just the sex or race stuff. In a way, that’s beside the point. Eventually, government as a sort of pusher and citizens as client junkies will, by necessity, end. At some point somebody somewhere is going to have to pay. And there will be much gnashing of teeth and wailing in the land.

[I know atheists who are good, decent people with a strong sense of right and wrong.]

They are not atheists.

Real atheism is to believe in the giant fuckhole of empty space and to be so enveloped by the soul destroying vacuum effect of nihilism and the idea of sheer random chance that madness ensues. It is a pathetic, meaningless existence. And I admire real atheists for their decision and their honesty. They are very few. Not many have the courage to embrace the inherent mental disease that comes with such a conclusion.

Everyone else you just mentioned is merely a weekend warrior, armchair atheist. They might like the Satrbuckian atmosphere of urban hip Wiccan tea settings, but they are not real atheists. Understand, inexistence, a belief in the oblivion if held to, requires tremendous faith and dedication for it will destroy anyone who tries to fool the self into the lure of absence.

Most 'atheists' I know are Hindu also rans discovering their claim of own self-godhood. It was always this way from the beginning, even from the Garden tale, removing one self from the Origin to become an origin unto themselves. This is not the bravery of atheism, it is merely selfish delusions of grandeur.

Nothing will persuade the deconstructionists as to the authenticity of the Gospels. However, for us Catholics, there is sufficient proof of authorship in the Book of Revelation. In Ch. 4 0f Revelation, St. John describes his mystical visions of the four living creatures around the throne, one with the face of a lion, one with the face of a calf, one with the face of a man, and lastly one with the face of an eagle. These are the four authors of the Gospels. The first one mentioned, the lion, represents St. Mark, the author of the first Gospel. Mark's Gospel is represented by the lion, because his Gospel focuses on the power of Jesus. The calf is St. Luke, whose Gospel deals more fully with sacrifice. The man is St. Matthew, whose Gospel focuses more on the humanity of Jesus, While St. John's Gospel 'soars like an eagle' to mystical heights that are not present in the synoptic Gospels. The order in which the four creatures are presented in Revelation also denotes the order in which the four Gospels were written. For us Catholics, no further proof than this is necessary.

Quote# 103249

Homosexuality is partly caused by a self-reinforcing mental process, especially considering the brain plasticity during teenage, which, associated with autosuggestion, becomes an irreversibly imprinted into early adulthood.
You’ve heard of people getting trapped into religious sects and sort of addicted to it, right? They never get out by themselves. Same thing here.

So, if you are at the beginning of your sexuality and you get trapped in a homosexual pattern, you may never get out of it. And yes, by the time you reach legal age, you will feel genuinely attracted to boys. But this attraction will be the result of an induced or imposed behavior, not a genetic determination of any sort.
In the past, a boy may have feel confused with his hormones and vaguely attracted to boys for a short time, but that was it. No Induced process was there to imprint his brain because of the barriers put in place by the Society, plus Religion forbade it, so, end of story. Now, here is an incredible concept: the Society was actually protecting its Citizen, can you believe it?

That’s one thing. The other thing is the chemical environment. It contains pollutants and hormones analogues, that decrease men’s hormonal load, which translates into hetero men with lower sperm count and in boys into small breast and small penises. A note here: fat is great to store all these pollutants, in addition to racial differences in sensitivity and fat storage. See how everything is linked?
Then, obviously, many more boys will start at the edges of hormonal un-differentiation and will become easy preys to the psychological mechanisms mentioned above.

Don’t say it’s not true, because even in girls you have the mirror mechanism: the constant decrease in the age in the fist menarche of girls. In the 18th century, It was relatively convenient for a girl to remain chaste until her 17eens, when she barely finished her puberty at 16, as opposed to now when many white girls start puberty in their 10th or 11th and are done by 12, and we ask them ‘not to think about it’ for the next 6-7 years, with raging hormones inside.
I asked a doctor why is that (for the girls) he said he doesn’t know, and nobody knows for sure. A combination of many chemicals, food, and behavior is likely.

So this is it. Beside the rare cases of true hormonal imbalance genetically determined and very rare, as for most genetic diseases, most cases of homosexuality are ‘induced’ by environment and behavior.
For the environment: pesticides/growth hormones are used to increase food production as well as many other chemicals from plastics, and female hormones are also directly released in the environment.
For the Behavior: well, the body is merchandised and you own your body right? so there is a market aperture here.
To resume it all: it’s MONEY.

So if you want, you can replace my long text with that small emoticon of a slightly hunchback man with a crook nose and who is rubbing his hands because of all the money he knows he’s gonna make.

God is sovereign. Nothing happens in this universe without His approval and intimate involvement. So when we think back on 9/11, we need to see God’s fist slamming down on the United States. Considering what God is capable of, this was an extremely mild event. Considering how America treats God, a mere 3,000 casualties is shockingly merciful. We deserve much worse. We will get much worse. What happened on 9/11 was just a little wake-up call. Yes, it was shocking, but it’s impact was very limited. As is always the case, those closest to the events were the most impacted by them. We saw the usual spike in church attendance, and our anti-God media acknowledged His existence briefly. But at the ten year anniversary of the event, what did we find? A formal ceremony being held in which it was explicitly ordered that there would be no praying to God in public. Hm. Clearly America as a nation did not learn the spiritual lessons she might have learned from 9/11. As a result, she will need to suffer greater trauma, more violence, and she will need more assistance in identifying God as her attacker. None of this will be difficult to do—God already has His next lesson all worked out. But in the meantime, you as an individual Christian don’t have to follow America’s rebellious example. There is plenty for you to learn from 9/11, but now we need to make sure you’re learning the right lessons and not just ingesting deceptions and fear.

Quote# 103239

If God lies, we can’t trust Him. This is human logic. IT IS NOT TRUE WITH GOD. But it feels like it must be true, for how can you possibly trust someone who deceives you? You can. No, it does not make sense, but many things about the faith don’t. As long as we’re talking about lying, we’re still talking about understanding. When God lies, we feel like we don’t “know” Him anymore, hence the panic. This is because on earth, understanding someone is critical to knowing them and trusting them. If you’re going to enter deeper levels of spiritual maturity, at some point, God is going to teach you to unlink the concepts of understanding and trust where He is concerned.

If we are to go all the way with God, we must learn to focus all of our trust on His CHARACTER instead of His BEHAVIOR. This is a tall order for us humans and making this switchover is a terrifying process. But it’s critical, for God is not human. He is so huge and complex that we can’t even begin to fully grasp Him. He has goals that we don’t know about, and achieving those goals means He is going to act in ways that make no sense to us at all, like cursing the entire human race because one woman ate a piece of fruit. Or like saying He’s too holy to stand the presence of sin, and then having His equally holy Son come down and take all that sin on Himself. Doesn’t make sense. It can’t, and it won’t. If we get stuck in “I have to figure it out” land, we’ll miss so much that God wants to give us. So our need for logical understanding must be ripped out of our cores and we must learn to become satisfied with knowing God is good in Character, no matter how badly He behaves.

Quote# 103237

Christians tend to get very uncomfortable when unbelievers blame God for bringing tragedy into their lives. Suppose your unsaved neighbor has his daughter killed in a hit and run and the man falls into seething anger towards God, cussing Him out and reaming you out for trying to tell him God is good. Is his theology amiss for accusing God of murdering his child? Not at all. God DID murder the girl and He makes no apologies for doing so. Why then do we Christians start feeling sick to the stomach and make bumbling efforts to try and redirect the man’s anger elsewhere? Do we think it will help the man’s soul to deny God’s sovereign rule over this world? Are we being good witnesses for the Lord by arguing that sin and Satan snuck behind His holy back and did something He hates? This is ridiculous theology, yet over and over I’ve heard Christians try and talk the grieving unsaved out of assigning any responsibility to God for what happens to them.

We can hardly help people know our God when we don’t even know Him ourselves. In Isaiah 45:7, God says “The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these.” Clearly God does not find it insulting to be blamed for something He did, in fact He has always made it clear that He’s the One ultimately responsible for all the suffering in this world. Sin itself couldn’t have occurred without God setting up that one special tree in the garden and giving Satan free access to Eve. We Christians need to stop being so threatened by this notion that God is sovereign over all, and we really need to stop talking unsaved souls out of their good instincts.

It is very correct to fully acknowledge God’s involvement when something terrible happens to us, and if He’s involved, He’s the One we should be directing our emotions at. Encouraging people to redirect their anger away from God is like teaching the wife of an adulterous husband to go have it out with his lover instead of confronting the real source of the problem. Such triangulation is a common practice among humans who are trying to cling to denial and preserve the illusion of something they know no longer exists. We Christians have a long history of clinging to the illusion of a God who never gets His hands dirty with pain and suffering—this is a fantasy which the Bible completely disproves, yet we cling to it anyway. God declares that He creates calamity—how much clearer can He be?

[OP of the "In defense of Pol Pot" thread]

It seems like in the modern communist movement Pol Pot has become taboo, someone who must not be supported. However, I disagree. He took great efforts to rebuild the Cambodian nation from scratch under a socialist framework. The only reason he depopulated the cities is becauae Capitalism had so thoroughly corrupted Cambodia that it was necessary to reforge Cambodia from the ground up. Once a socialist foundation had been established, he would begin to remodernize the country but under a socialist, egalitarian manner.

Furthermore, the article below makes some excellent points about how Pol Pot's rule helped the millions of ordinary working Cambodians.

[T]here is a strong argument to suggest that, in a perverse sort of way, anti-Semitism has been good for the Jews. The French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre made that point in his book Anti-Semite & Jew. Without the constant reminders and threats to our existence, we Jews would have been lulled into a peaceful and passive state of national amnesia. Secure in our comfort zones, we might have lost much of our unique identity.

History records that under regimes that persecuted us, we remained steadfastly Jewish; whereas under more enlightened, liberal forms of government, we gradually embraced a welcoming but dominant culture, forfeiting much of our own.

Back in the '70s, when I was working with Jewish university students, we were struggling to break through a wall of icy indifference towards Judaism. It was so frustrating that my colleagues and I even considered going onto campus in the dead of night to paint a few swastikas on the Student Union building, in the hope that this would jolt them out of their apathy. Of course, we never actually did it, but I confess to having been very tempted.

[...]

Everything has a purpose in creation. There is nothing superfluous in G-d's world. So what is the purpose of an anti-Semite? Just that—to remind Jews that they are Jewish!

Its because God said so James 4:4.

God's elect lives are predestined by God and we don't have a choice. How do you explain this to your family? Most families would be pissed if their son or daughter was one of God's elect. God's elect have been predestined by God, that they will be hated by nonelects since they were born. John 15:18-19King James Version (KJV)

I don't want my family to be more pissed if they found out that am one of God's elect.

They don't know am one of God's elect.

Roughly only about 1% of the world are God's elect.

This made me smile, because it's so true. Every "proof" we see of UFO's is blurred.

Proof of God, however, is the opposite. It is vibrant, focused, succinct, absolute, and it comes in four forms:

1. Creation: It is scientifically impossible for Nature to have made itself.
2. Conscience: Every culture, from the beginning of time, has a God-given and society-shaped knowledge of right and wrong.
3. Commandments: God gave us the Ten Commandments (which are confirmed by the conscience) to show us that we need His mercy.
4. Conversion: We can come to know God simply by obeying the gospel.

Quote# 103209

We don't have to prove to anyone that God exists. Everyone intuitively knows that He exists, but they willfully suppress the truth (see Rom. 1:18). Every person has a God-given conscience, which is the “work of the law written in their hearts” (Rom. 2:15). Just as every sane person knows that it is wrong to lie, steal, kill, and commit adultery, he knows that if there is a moral Law, then there must be a moral Lawgiver.

In addition to the testimony of his impartial conscience, the atheist also has the testimony of creation. It declares the glory of God, His eternal power, and divine nature, so that the person who denies the voice of conscience and the voice of creation is without excuse (Psa. 19:1; Rom. 1:19–21). If he dies in his sins, he will face the wrath of a holy Creator, whether he believes in Him or not.

This is why I don’t spend too much time trying to convince anyone that there is a God. To do so is to waste time and energy. What sinners need is not to be convinced that God exists, but that sin exists and that they are in terrible danger.

The biblical way to do this is to go through the moral Law and explain that God considers lust to be adultery and hatred to be murder, etc. It is the revelation that God is holy and just, and sees the thought-life, that convinces us that we are in danger of eternal damnation. That is what sinners need to hear to send them to the cross for mercy.

So never be discouraged from preaching the gospel, and don’t get sidetracked by rabbit-trail issues that don’t really matter.

God's note is the Bible. It says, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you...I will give you a new heart...Old thing pass away, all things become new."

I believe the Bible, not because I welled up some sort of faith in its words, but because it said that God would make me a completely new person if I would repent and trust alone in Jesus.

It authenticated itself as the Word of God by supernaturally doing what it said it would do. The power came on and transformed me overnight into a brand new person.

This didn't come about because of anything I did. It was a completely independent source of power that took me out of darkness and brought me into light. Therefore every other promise in it about Heaven, Hell, and everlasting life is utterly true altogether.
