If “there is no one right way to live,” then why should anyone “be willing to alter” their beliefs? If there is “no one right way to live,” then why do we have “a responsibility to consider others”? If there is “no right way to live,” then it can not be wrong if one man decides that his “right way to live” includes controlling the bodies of those around him.

This is the conundrum atheists face: if we are all just cosmic accidents and God does not exist, then no man has the moral authority to tell another man how to live. If we are all just sentient space dust with no soul, then there really are no objective truths — right and wrong are relative — and there is no valid argument against those whose sole existence is based on taking advantage of their fellow man.

Even the authors seem to realize this. They told CNN about the inspiration for writing their book:

“A lot of atheists’ books are about whether to believe in God or not,” he said. “We wanted to consider: OK, so you don’t believe in God, what’s next? And that’s actually a much harder question.”

“What’s next?” is a very hard question, indeed. Perhaps the reason why so many atheist books concentrate on “whether to believe in God or not” instead of “What’s next?” is because it leads to “There is no one right way to live.”

On another level, it is incredibly telling that with limited real estate, atheists would use one of their “ten commandments” to emphasize the importance of not believing in a non-existent god. Try as he might, the atheist can not escape God. Perhaps for their next book, Messrs. Figdor and Bayer could write “Atheist Heart, Humanist Mind: We Can’t Escape God No Matter How Hard We Try.”

Short List of Earth-is-stationary Proofs

This list is by no means comprehensive, but it gives you some understanding of what can be searched out and verified as reality – truth that the earth is stationary and does not rotate about its polar axis.

1) If the Earth rotated about its polar axis, it would have to be moving fastest at the equator and slower at each mile closer to the north and south poles. Theoretically, the tiny point at each pole would not be moving at all. (We will explain this proof below, after listing a few additional points.)

2) As Dr. Shaban says, “The rotation of the air-layer next to the rigid Earth is without cause . . . [and] is the greatest hoax ever invented by mankind.” (Quoted from The Verses of Deus, page 77.) That is, there is no cause for the air atmosphere near the Earth to rotate with the Earth. If the Earth was rotating fast enough to complete 360 degrees every 24 hours, the atmosphere would long ago have been hurtled away. (And see point 3.)

3) Similar to points 1 and 2, IF the atmosphere was rotating along with the Earth, it would have to be moving faster at the equator than at any other northern or southern degree of latitude (= distance from the equator). But in fact, the atmosphere does not move – it has the same force (atmospheric pressure) except for relatively small, and predictable, variations based on altitude and temperature.

4) If the Earth was rotating as we are told (i.e., from west to east in direction), an airplane would have to travel much faster to fly from Los Angeles to Miami than from Miami to Los Angeles. And the required speed to fly west-to-east at cities close to the equator would be much greater than speed needed to go from, say, Toronto to Moscow (since the Earth’s speed of rotation closer to the North Pole would be less than farther to the south).

The first claim is obvious nonsense and the other one even worse, since it makes them apply extreme effort for skills that you pretty much either have or don’t. It’s as if a 5ft2 woman wanted to be 6ft tall. It won’t work. On the other hand, dumb football players and thugs rape and are successful in terms of reproduction and thus respected by women.

Teaching a dogma that rape is something women hate, which was last applicable in the West decades ago, makes young men here miss chances with women and wonder why they can’t be successful.

It is all really, really dangerous.

If I were to not oppose a reader of mine raping a woman this would be (and by now is) not for any reasons of punishing women, since they won’t feel punished. It would be merely to try to ensure that he has a fighting chance of breeding with a woman.

It would be as if Republicans responded to the apocryphal attack on McCain volunteer Ashley Todd in 2008 by saying, "Physical assaults on McCain volunteers by Obama supporters are indeed a serious problem."

If we're in the middle of a college-rape epidemic, why do all the cases liberals promote keep turning out to be hoaxes? Maybe I'm overthinking this, but wouldn't a real rape be more persuasive?

Instead, all the hair-on-fire college rape stories have been scams: the Duke lacrosse team's gang-rape of a stripper; Lena Dunham's rape by Oberlin College's "resident Republican," Barry; and Rolling Stone's fraternity gang-rape at UVA. Two of the three were foisted on the public -- and disproved in public -- only in the last few weeks.

The only epidemic sweeping the nation seems to be Munchausen rape syndrome. What's next, college noose hoaxes?

Even Lady Gaga recently claimed she was raped, although, she admitted: "I didn't even tell myself for the longest time." How do you not "tell" yourself you've been raped?

Rolling Stone's fantasist rape victim told The Washington Post she didn't report her rape or go to the hospital because "she was new to campus and unaware of the resources available to her."

Unaware of the "resources"? Has she heard of "911"?

Who doesn't report a brutal crime? I had my right arm sawed off by an attacker several years ago, but I was unaware of the resources available to me, so I never pressed charges. I didn't even admit it to myself until several years later.

Although Jackie had spoken about her rape at a "Take Back the Night" rally, she told the Post that if Rolling Stone's Erdely hadn't approached her, "I probably would not have gone public about my rape."

Except for being imaginary, Jackie's rape should have been easy to prove. In addition to the fact that she would have been a bloody mess, it was supposed to have happened at a fraternity. That narrows the suspect pool down from "anyone who was in the Charlottesville, Virginia, area on Sept. 28, 2012" to "40 specific guys, 20 percent of whom are, by definition, guilty of rape."

The zealots aren't backing down from Jackie's Lifetime Movie-of-the-Week rape fantasy, even as every single part of it is proved untrue. Her "close friends," The Washington Post reports, insist that "something traumatic happened to her."

Similarly, Rolling Stone authoress Erdely told Slate, "There's no doubt in my mind that something happened to her that night" based on "the degree of (Jackie's) trauma." After all, she's been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and is taking antidepressants!

Another explanation for her trauma is: Jackie is a nut. Have you considered the possibility that your protagonist is out of her mind?

(The fact that Erdely is an "award-winning" investigative journalist tells you everything you need to know about modern journalism. Of course, her one award was from Rape Hoax Monthly, which should have been a tip-off.)

College must be difficult for white, straight coeds, because it's so hard to be a victim. You're not black, you're not gay, you don't have leprosy -- what can you do to acquire victim cool? Join the rape club!

On college campuses, two millennia of Anglo-Saxon law has been scrapped in deference to sexual assault doctrines that would embarrass Chairman Mao. Young men's futures are being put in the hands of the most closed-minded, reason-free, quick-to-accuse, unfair, standardless humans on Earth.

When I became a Christian I found the instructions. The Bible told me that cows were made by God to give us meat, milk, cheese, butter [as well as Greek style yogurt with honey—and of course, ice cream]. Cows were also created to give us leather for jackets, coats, bags, belts and high quality shoes.

Sheep were made to give us meat to eat, and wool for sweaters, hats, gloves and carpets. Dogs were created as man’s best friend (after women), the horse of course is for riding, giraffes just stand around for us to be amazed at the incredible creative imagination of God. And cats…well, I guess they‘re for people who don’t like dogs.

Until the world opens the Instruction Book of Holy Scripture it won’t have a clue where it came from, will have no ultimate purpose for existence, nor will it know how to find everlasting life and avoid the damnation of Hell…unless we tell them:

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14).

"150 million, 200 million or 500 million, it does not matter to us," the fighter answered. "We will kill them all."

The interview became testy when they reached the topic of beheadings and enslavement, especially of female captives.

"So do you seriously think that beheadings and enslavement actually signal progress for humanity?" Todenhoefer asked.

"Slavery absolutely signals progress," the man said. "Only ignorant people believe that there is no slavery among the Christians and the Jews. Of course there are woman who are forced into prostitution under the worst circumstances.

"I would say that slavery is a great help to us and we will continue to have slavery and beheadings, it is part of our religion ... many slaves have converted to Islam and have then been freed."

As you may have heard, Wilbur Cerate, a Virginia man, claims that last month, two People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals staffers turned up at his home when he wasn't there, loaded his daughter's Chihuahua, Maya, into a van, and then euthanized her.

Three days later -- this is the real kicker -- the PETA workers are said to have then brought the grieving family a fruit basket.

Parts of this were caught on surveillance video.

Accomack County Sheriff Todd Godwin told WAVY -- the first local news outlet to pursue this bizarre, sad story -- he charged the dog-nappers with larceny, only to see the charges dropped by the Commonwealth Attorney because, as the paper put it, "there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute."

On Wednesday, DELMARVA Now got the names of those who were charged: Victoria Jean Carey, who appears to do HR for the group, and Jennifer Lisa Woods, another longtime PETA staffer who seems to have been quoted in a 1997 article advocating for the "compassionate" euthanasia of homeless cats. (Sure, that was nearly 20 years ago -- but PETA still has a web page up entitled "Euthanasia: The Compassionate Option.")

Godwin told the paper that "both individuals were working on behalf of the PETA Community Assistance Program when the theft occurred."

5. Women lack a sense of justice. They perceive themselves as vulnerable, underestimate their own strengths, and rationalize their behavior by playing the victim and assert that they are acting in self-defense.

6. Women rely on intuition and emotion when it comes to decision making. They are capable of ratiocination just like men but prefer to trust their instincts instead of learning how to set boundaries with other people. They also believe their intuition is foolproof despite evidence to the contrary.

7. Women are intolerant. They view those with behaviors that they don't understand or don't recognize as a threat and lack the curiosity that men have to understand the world around them and investigate things that are unknown. Male curiosity and creativity is the mother of invention. That's why >90% of important scientists, inventors, and artists of all types are men. The fact that men cannot bear children inspires them to create things.

Look at what Paul said about how he persuaded men about God: "And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God." (1 Corinthians 2:1) Why didn't Paul dazzle his hearers with eloquent speeches and intellectual wisdom? Bible scholars who have studied his letters tell us that he was extremely capable intellectually. First Corinthians 2:5 tells us why he deliberately stayed away from worldly wisdom: "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

If sinners are converted by the intellect (the wisdom of men), they will fall away by the intellect. If they are merely argued into the faith, they will just as easily be argued out of it whenever a respected scholar reports that 'the bones of Jesus" have been found. However if sinners are converted by "the power of God," they will be kept by the power of God. No intellectual argument will cause them to waver because they will know the life-changing reality of their conversion, and their faith will be secure in the eternally solid and secure Rock of Ages.
