The Vatican's second-highest authority says the sex scandals haunting the Catholic Church are linked to homosexuality rather than celibacy vows among priests.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone is the Vatican's secretary of state and asserts that "many psychologists and psychiatrists have demonstrated that there is no relation between celibacy and pedophilia."

He says others have shown "that there is a relation between homosexuality and pedophilia," and "that is the problem."

Bertone spoke during a news conference Monday in Chile.

He also asserted that the church had never impeded investigations of pedophilia by priests.

Homosexuality –the behavior— needs to go back in the closet. It needs to be outlawed. It needs to be re-stigmatized. It needs to stop receiving sympathy from middle America and certainly within churches, and be seen for what it is—a blight on people’s lives, a corrupting influence on youth, a contamination of the public health.

To those who are trapped spinning in the mental, moral and spiritual bondage of this lifestyle: I feel for you, and I do pray for you. But you can’t have America. Until you learn to restrain yourselves, there must be lawful restraint of your out-of-control behavior and demands.

Go back in the closet until you shed this behavior. Leave our kids alone. Leave faithful churches alone. Leave our streets in peace. And please, get out of our faces.

Neither the government nor a woman can claim that the woman has the right to terminate her pregnancy because the child in her womb is dependent on her for survival, due to the fact that the sole reason the child exists for it to depend on her was due to the woman's decision to engage in sexual intercourse.

The above is what is known as a logically sound statement. I understand if those in the pro-"choice" camp are unfamiliar with the concept.

Quote# 72342

(emphasis mine)

Christians, by nature, don't go poking their noses into pagan practices, therefore Christians, by nature wouldn't know a whole lot about those things. No sane person, let alone a Christian person, would go into the bars and private clubs my homosexual late best friend blundered into when he "came out". So Christians, by default, had no idea what could possibly go wrong if a lesbian got elected Mayor of Houston for example. Christians had no idea how much could possibly go wrong when, in an effort to love our enemies as instructed in Scripture, decided to try tolerating homosexual behavior and other inadvisable lifestyle practices, we tried to love others... Many, many well-meaning people tried to give peace a real chance by permitting others around us to live in peace, rather than batter them with condemnation as was once done in the first half of the 20th century. It seemed like a good idea to some people back in the 1970's and 1980's when enough of the real depravity was still restrained, and nobody guessed what the depraved were actually capable of. But the Lord knew... He knew the whole time... I think He had to let all this happen, so that when the time comes, no one will be able to get in His Face and accuse Him of being unjust in judgement. What we are seeing in these bizzare new age and gay pride agendas, and in the Muslim militantism as well is the fulfillment of Romans 1:25-27 while the Holy Spirit is not only still active on Earth, but being poured out as never before, exactly as God promised He would.

Many claim that evolution is a proven fact. No, It's not! It is a theory. An alternative to those who rebel against God. It should always be referred to as the Theory of Evolution. There is no proven fact to qualify it as scientific fact. I don't know why such utter rubbish is passed of as science in schools and universities. With all the big brains and so much money spent to research a theory? This speaks of a hidden agenda to try and disprove God. No creature can disprove God. He transcends time and space and we can search the heights and depths of our universe only to reveal more of God's authority and power. The study of true factual science will point to a Master Designer, a perfect Creator. [In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1]

Interesting, but I don't buy it. In every species, when one species evolves into another species, the previous one disappears. So, if we evolved from monkeys and apes, why are there still monkeys and apes? It takes more faith to believe in evolution than it does to believe in creation.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The House Common Education Committee on Wednesday kept alive a controversial bill to allow public schools to teach from the Bible.

By a 10-3 vote, the committee advanced Senate Bill 1338, which permits districts to offer courses teaching the cultural and historical context of the Bible. Supporters say the courses will not be used to advocate religion.

Skeptics said such courses are already permissible and that repeated attempts to pass legislation such as SB 1338 are a waste of time.

"It seems like we spend more time talking about religion than we do academics," said Rep. Doug Cox, R-Grove.

Rep. Samson Buck, D-Ardmore, asked, "Is this as far as you intend to go, or is it your intent to eventually be teaching Christianity in the public schools?"

The bill's House sponsor, Rep. Todd Russ, R-Cordell, insisted that the courses would be purely academic.

"I very strongly feel that the purpose is to teach the history and culture of our country," Russ said. "Thank God we live in America, where we can do that."

I know that there are some people who agree with me but most out in the world don't. There is a lesbian teacher at my daughter's school. Everyone seems to think she is the greatest thing in the world because her test scores are so high every year and shes a popular teacher that most people seem to like. Most of the parents that I know thought I was horrible a few years ago when my daughter was put in her classrom and I demanded that she be moved. If it had been up to me, that teacher would have been dismissed. She has no business in a school, no matter how high her test scores are or how much the kids and parents like her. I got a lot of flack from other parents and some of them still won't speak to me. But I know I did the right thing. We don't need teachers like that in our schools and I would do it again and again if I had to.

This is disgusting. My opinion is not popular but I personaly do not think ANY homosexual man or lesbian or transgendered crossdresser should be given a teaching job or ANY job in a school or anywhere else around children. Some of us cannot afford to home school or send our kids to Christian schools even though home schooling is something I personaly would dearly love to do with my daughter. A long time ago stuff like this would never have been an issue in even a public school. Teachers that were suspected of being gay or lesbian were fired, or never hired to begin with! And crossdressers? No way would that EVER have been even remotly considered. Now it seems like they actually WANT gay and lesbian teachers? And for what purpose? To be politically correct. That's it. There are plenty of upstanding straight teachers who could do the job just as well, probably better, who can't even get hired. We need to go back to the days when school districts would never even consider hiring someone who made the choice to be a homosexual or a transgender, and those who were allowed to get in were so deep in the closet no one would even suspect because they knew better than to prance around with their "partners" in public like they were in a perfectly normal relationship with no shame at all. Our kids look up to their teachers and teachers have tons of influence on kids. Who in their right mind would want that kind of influence around their kids? What happend to the days when this would never have even been considered?

You really have no evidence that the earth was not at one time rather smooth. You have only conjecture and no actual scientific first hand observation. I on the otherhand, have what purports to be a revelation from GOD. Now, if the Bible cannot be unbiasedly proved wrong in any area that I can investigate ---- why must one assume that it cannot be valid where no human endeavor is possible.

[On Constance McMillan, a lesbian high school student from Mississippi whose school originally refused to allow her and her girlfriend to attend prom together until a court declared the decision to be a violation of her civil rights.]

So one spectacularly selfish sexual cripple trumps the entire senior class? Homosexuality is a CHOICE, right up there with child molestation, beastiality, and necrophilia.

I'm going to go with despising the sinner and the cold cruelty of demanding her sick little fetish be rammed down everyone else's throats.

Being christian and forgiving hasn't bought me anything but grief, lately. I think I'm going to go with pagan and vengeful. It's much more satisfying, and I can always have a last-minute conversion... I'll leave the forgiveness to those who believe themselves qualified.

Quote# 72284

Liberal charity is an oxymoron because liberals give to charity at much lower rates than conservatives. Instead, liberals attempt to replace charity with government power and control.

Several liberal belief systems are particularly uncharitable. No atheists build hospitals and there is no meaningful public charity work performed by homosexual groups. Feminists are also notoriously uncharitable.

Several liberal-promoted charities, such as Susan G. Komen, even send donated funds to anti-life groups like Planned Parenthood affiliates that promote abortion.

Note that there are some services for which government cannot replace private charity, in a free society. Blood donations are an example of something that government can never provide. But as liberals increase the size of government and squeeze charity out of culture, all forms of charity, including ones that government cannot provide, decline.

Let's suppose I say 2+2=5 and you say 2+2=4. Are you right, or am I right? You'll say that you're right, right? But if evolution is true, suppose it's just that the chemicals that evolved into MY brain, did not evolve the same as the chemicals that evolved into YOUR brain, and we just understand the world differently. Who are YOU to say I'm wrong about ANYTHING? Once again, evolution leads to STUPIDITY, because if your brain is just a bunch of evolved chemicals, then nothing has any meaning in the end. It's just the way your chemicals happen to perceive things, and mine perceive things differently. SO MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS and leave me alone!

Without doubt atheists are a sad bunch. But, we still need to study their positions. Watch the Richard Dawkins/John Lennox debate online and see how pitiful Dawkins actually looks when confronted. Also, Dinesh D'Souza has many of his debates with atheists and agnostics on his website. Once confronted in person, where they cannot hide behind lengthy prose of a book, the elitest atheist looks more like an angry-grumpy old man stuttering his weathered positions through angry teeth.

Was Gregor Mendel a Satan worshipper in a Christian's clothing?
Genetics is a field of "science" that has no real merits. It was only a stepping stone for Satan to create the lie that would turn the most amount of people away from God, the idea of evolution. Genetics was created by the Devil to corroborate evolution.

Gregor Mendel, a supposed Catholic "Christian," is considered the "father of genetics." Why would an actual Christian obey the Devil's infernal will by creating a lie like genetics? That makes me suspect that he was not a Christian at all and only pretended to be.

At least they're honest

(" - what they [creationists] represent has little to do with science.")

And of course to the prideful, arrogant 'scientist', science is all there is. But his statement is not quite true anyway; actually what we (Christians) represent has nothing to do with science. Our vision transcends what the eye sees, and our souls are anchored in the Absolute, Eternal God. "Evolutionists" are anchored only to themselves in this fleeting life, and are doomed to live without any meaning in their lives beyond their own puny brain power. Their vision is limited to what their retina processes and their 'empirical' brain can comprehend. Beyond this they see nothing. Just as an animal will invalidate something he can't smell, the evolutionist will invalidate something he cannot 'prove' with his brain. Both live in a base, soul-less world of the senses.

How empty and vacuuous the evolutionists' lives must be as they age and their brains deteriorate, and all they have left to 'anchor' themselves to is a scrapbook with pictures of dinosaur bones and dashed hopes of discovering the 'missing link'.
