As Obama said in his response to the underwear bomber incident:

"Blay blah blah ummm blah blah extremists blah blah power blah umm bah blah"

Obama will never pursue Al Qaeda as agressively as the Bush administration, in part beacause deep down he kind of thinks they have a point with all this Great Satan stuff, but mostly because it's not all important to his base. The kind of extremists they care about have "God Bless America" bumper stickers on their F-150's and express reservations about carbon taxes, gay marriage and taxpayer funded abortions for pre-teens. Those are the kind of people you need to keep your eye on.

"Obama More Aggressive Than Bush Against Al Qaeda"

These dipshitocrats are are trying to make Barack Insane Obama MMMM MMMM MMMM, look tough because I have noticed that since this IRON HANDED PRESIDENT stole the office the rag head terrorists have stepped up attacks and have drawn blood. If flight 253 was a successful operation then it would be curtains for this administration and the rodents that follow them. He's sounding a little tougher now because the last attempted attack left shit stains in those pink bloomers of his. He can sound tougher all he wants but right now he's just running that mouth of his with his eloquent news conferences. Think he's going to push back at the terrorist? I'll bet he just slaps their widdle hinny's.

Does Obama have to read the terrorist their right before attacking?

Talk is cheap.

"President Obama Names Transgender Appointee to Commerce Department"

La Lydia: The White House must have an entire office that does nothing other than find and identify these FREAKS. Speaks volumes for BO’s priorities. We are supposed to believe that there was not a single NORMAL person qualified for this position?

reaganrevolutionin2010: Next he will appoint someone from NAMBLA. My bad, he's already got that base covered - the Safe School Czar.

Venturer: Blacks ,queers, perverts, transgenders ,tax cheats, thats what it takes to be an Obama appointee. What an administration. God help us get to 2012 and then give us a good Conservative we can vote for.

D521646: Last time I checked transgenderism is still in the DSM under mental disorder.. The Prez just appointed someone with a known mental imbalance.. Go figure, but perhaps it all fits, since it appears the Prez is also suffering from narcissism, ego mania, and a variety of other well documented illnesses.. :)

[In response to an article calling on the US military to appoint Humanist chaplains:]

IDIOTS AS ADVISERS

If humanists don't believe in life after death, why would they need a counselor for?

All they need is a psychologist or a psychiatrist. Or somebody to "strengthen" the lies they are living on as it crumbles in the reality of facing death.

If humanists are just hunting for jobs, the Army has lots of janitorial openings.

Before a humanist can become some sort of an adviser, he must at least know HOW SOIL TURNED INTO BRAINS. It is dangerous to our military if it would hire IDIOTS AS ADVISERS.

First Amendment Rights

If she kicks you out, I'd recommend calling the American Center for Law and Justice. They'd have a field day with that. If the woman told you that she was offended, then you have a right to stop talking to her. You can, however, hold witness encounters over the phone while you work out. Have a friend call you and play a willing participant in a witness encounter. You can talk about it ahead of time, and everyone in the area will get a chance to hear the Gospel. You don't have to worry about offending anyone in particular and if they complain, just say that you're on the phone with a dear friend.

i can not reply to Dawkins's type argument "why would God" we talking science here.Well below some more evolutionist's speculation abut human and kangaroo common ancestor. This time author says that the "large parts of genome were conserved". Ha ha ha "conserved" of course by the omnipotent chance for the future vision of upcoming humanity. Do not you people use brain at all? Do you suppose that mice was a common ancestor for all primates? Were primates contemporary to mice at the original ancestry time or were there only mice at the stage?
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1315837/

speaking of terms of natural selection: it would not "conserve" anything, It would eliminate all unnecessary features in the legendary ancestor because keeping it for the future humanity would be huge energy consuming effort..
Geeez. Who you call retards?

I wanted to explore this a bit as I'm self-studying utilitarianism atm, and trying to figure out how the whole thing works. Figured I'd present an argument, and have some other perspectives.

Right and Wrong can be determined by what is rational and what is irrational. Rational and irrational can be determined by what brings about the most pleasure and what brings about the most pain. (TDD pointed this out: Rational and Irrational can be determined by what course leads to the most pleasure vs. the most pain. (Can't get the right words >.<))

Atheists have a hard time as they're surrounded by folks who constantly attack them for not falling to their knees and worshipping. This is painful. Therefore, not changing is irrational, and therefore, being an Atheist is wrong.

Being a theist of any kind is more accepted as a social norm, thus making life easier, thus minimizing stress and optimizing pleasure, thus making it rational, thus making it right.

Am I right?

[A lesbian couple broke up after one of them, Lisa Miller, had become a born-again Christian and an "ex-homosexual." A Virginia court has now settled the custody battle by ordering that the child go to Janet Jenkins, Lisa's former lesbian partner. Lisa has, so far, refused to comply.]

6SJ7: The Underground Railroad is back in operation.

Diana in Wisconsin: I’m confused. The woman who gave birth to this child, renounced her homosexual ways, found God and doesn’t want her biological child to be around her ex-lesbian partner is the BAD GUY in this? (That’s the way the media is portraying it, IMHO). I know they both must be a little mentally ill, but shouldn’t we be rooting for the one who turned her life around? I mean, if we have to root for the lesser of two evils, then Miss Miller is the lesser of two evils. What am I missing? And why is this any different than say, a woman who later finds out her husband is gay and doesn’t want her children having anything to do with him? I mean, I don’t think homosexuals should marry, let alone reproduce in the first place, but we are where we are in society in this case, at least. *SHRUG*

Sir Francis Dashwood: The judge is a pedophile and should be hanged...

dschapin: This is not a normal contract case. It would be morally wrong for this mother to allow her daughter to be molested by her former lesbian partner. Would you subject the child to sexual abuse just to punish the biological mother for the bad decisions she made in the past - for which she has since repented?

I didn't see Saving Private Ryan, but I suspect that is liberal also. The quotes and clips I saw from it had the trappings of liberalism: faithless with a kind of dumbed-down "that's all there is to life" approach. Woe is me and my brothers will be my salvation. "At death there's nothing more" is the message, expect (if you're lucky) some spirit of brotherhood.

Tom Hanks is a liberal, big time. Seeing the world through the atheistic eyes of a "retard", with sermonizing about civil rights, was a liberal distortion and fantasy. I'm sure we all know people of low IQs, and they don't think and act like Forrest Gump. For starters, often they have strong religious faith. As I recall from the first half, Gump's perspective was without any genuine expression of faith.

[Bag-of-Hammers believes the New Testament should be taught in History classes.]

THere is far more credible evidence that proves the NT to be true than most other things they teach in History. Not teaching it as history submits to the idea that it might all be lies and fairytales is where the attitude towards the NT is born. As it is, we are a Nation of athiests, bowing to the unfounded ideas of atheism that the NT is not worthy of considerating as true testimony, giving more credance that there are multible truths, and having faith in the wisdom of people is moot, as there is no such thing as truth and rightousness. Only a world where whatever you want to believe is what the truth is, regardless of the facts. As it is we reinforce the people to share the same attitude Muhammad had towards the NT by not educating them the historical facts behind the making of the NT.

The act of redefining Adaptation to lend some path down to slide into Darwin's theory is just a cheap trick of the Revisionist culture of today.

The atheists' group should keep there views to themselves. There is no harm in religion - the harm comes when people knock the harmless views of others which allow them to live a relatively peaceful life. So the group should keep their views to themselves - no one is making them go to mass on Sunday or the mosque on Friday or the synagogue on Saturday. Just be considerate of those who choose to.

Quote# 69440

Some people have wrongly assumed that Matthew and Luke (the author of Acts) are contradictory in their account of Judas’ death. Since the Bible is inerrant Judas cannot have died by hanging and died by falling and bursting open. Rather they are two different viewpoints of the same event. For example, if I saw a car hit a pedestrian, I might simply say that the pedestrian died because they were hit by the car. The coroner who came on the scene later but did not actually see the accident might give a graphic description of the injuries to the pedestrian. Both the coroner and I are describing the same event just different aspects of it.
Matthew tells us that Judas died by hanging (death is inferred from the passage). Luke, being a doctor, gives us a graphic description of what occurred following the hanging. The reason for ordering the events as such is twofold. First, if someone has fallen and their internal organs spilled out they would die and so could not subsequently die from hanging. Secondly, even when people suffer bad falls they do not usually burst open and have their internal organs spill out. The skin is very tough and even when cut in the abdominal area their internals do not usually spill out. Thus, it is unlikely that Judas could die in this manner merely from falling.
Gruesome as it is, Judas’ dead body hung in the hot sun of Jerusalem, and the bacteria inside his body would have been actively breaking down tissues and cells. A byproduct of bacterial metabolism is often gas. The pressure created by the gas forces fluid out of the cells and tissues and into the body cavities. The body becomes bloated as a result. In addition, tissue decomposition occurs compromising the integrity of the skin. Judas’ body was similar to an overinflated balloon, and as he hit the ground (due to the branch he hung on or the rope itself breaking) the skin easily broke and he burst open with his internal organs spilling out.
There is no contradiction surrounding Judas’ death; rather, merely two descriptions given by two different authors of the same event.

To all of you Christian men out there, I'm so sad that my husband is playing this game. I want it out of my home. I was in the kitchen and my baby was in the swing next to the tv when the F word was stated very loud, something we never say in our home. I also saw prostitutes beckoning to the character my husband was playing. And I was mortified to see the stabbing described in the review. I only wish I had found this website before my husband bought the game. I know if he had read it, he wouldn't have bought it. Don't put your wife through this stress. Choose something more edifying to do with your time. And wives, pray for our husbands that they'll put Christ before themselves and that they sacrifice things like this to love their wives the way Christ loved the Church.

Doethine about sums it up as far as Britain is concerned, just like Nazi Germany, secret police visit Christians that practise their faith, interrogate them in their own homes and take them to police stations for further interrogation. This is happening time and time again New Labour might be administering this abuse to the Christian faith but both the Conservatives and Lib Dems will continue the practise de briefing our religious code should they be elected.

In Briton we are being overrun with muslims and many other faiths that are being allowed to set up their own courts outside the traditional legal system of Britain. Even our spiritual leader 'The 'Archbishop of Canterbury' no longer recognises our faith and THe Prince of Wales (the future defender of the faith) is courting muslim ways. It is a very strange position to be in having a faith (Church of England) that the ones who are supposed to up hold the faith are allowed to exorcise
a right of non conformity, while those that believe are being misrepresented.

That is why we need to have big changes in the running of this country, the present government are running this country as a dictatorship and th Arch bishop of Canterbury and the Prince of Whales are giving way to practises that put our faith in danger of extinction and in my view they have to be stopped.

[The original question - Many Christians are seeing that persecution could be coming soon...? - and almost every single answer also qualify.]

(Thread Title: I am boycoting the Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco they promote evolution.)

So I took my lovely wife and our 3 beautiful children to the Steinhart Aquarium ( California Academy of Sciences ) in San Francisco last weekend while we were attending the marriage of a friend. It turns out that the Aquarium is pushing a massive agenda of trying to proselytize to children that evolution is real, as in we evolved from single cell organisms and not from God. They also claimed that the universe was created from a single unit of Dark Matter and not divinely created by our lord God. They had noted Liberal Whoopie Goldberg narrating the explanation for the creation of the universe during the Planetarium show. They would not allow people to leave who were offended by the show either, they forced us to continue to watch the lies.

On top of all this they also had a huge exhibit about global warming claiming that it is going to kill us all when the reality is global warming is a lie as revealed by the emails of the scientists fabricating evidence.

As a child I remembered going to the Aquarium and marveling at all the exhibits and animals and wanted to share the experience with my children, unfortunately after their renovations they removed most of the animals and made it a huge billboard for spreading liberal anti god bias in a format that is aimed towards children.

I wish I could find an Aquarium or Zoo that address the divine aspects of creation and existence instead of constantly forcing squares into circle slots.

Is anyone else tired of 'science' presenting these theories ( some of which have been dis proven like evolution) as absolute fact to our children?
