(From the OP: Anti-Islam church sign stirs up community outrage
The Dove World Outreach Center in northwest Gainesville posted a sign that says "Islam is of the devil.")

When I was a child the preachers would thunder "repent and accept Jesus or face hell!!! You won't hear that today either. Its too "harsh" and might upset people. I am a christian because I wanted to avoid a hell that I heard about.

I agree that some are sensitive and respond best to a love message.. But many also might want to know why Islam is of the devil, and once they discovered why, they might repent.

Jesus said no one came to the father except through Him. He accused some of being of their father the devil. Jesus did not soft peddle the message into a marshmallowee, touchy feely, sermonette that left everyone leaving in a good mood.

The truth is hard. Someone has to tell it like it is.

Some people say that the Tripoli Treaty of 1797 states clearly that the United States is NOT a Christian nation. Here’s what it said, and here’s what I think. It said …

…the government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen …

This is just my humble opinion, but … like noses, everyone has one.

I think the key to understanding this is context. What is the context? Judging from history, the context seems to be the “Christianity” of Europe which attacked Muslims (Musselmen) during the Crusades and other times. It appears that the treaty was worded in such a way as to give the Muslims great assurance that America is not like those European nations who called themselves “Christian” yet attacked them mercilessly. The American founders detested government control by “Christian institutions,” yet most of them were strong, Protestant Christians themselves, showing their Christian committment in numerous ways–from founding colleges at Harvard, Princeton and Yale for the express purpose of training Christian preachers to go throughout all the land, to forming Bible Societies to help get Bibles distributed everywhere, to having prayer meetings in Congress, to carving Bible verses in stone, etc, etc, etc.

So it seems to me that this treaty could really have been worded …

…the government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion [of Europe] as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen …

and it seems that the reason “of Europe” was not inserted in the language was because everyone understood what their meaning was and there was no need to insert this.

Is that an unreasonable opinion?

It is sad. Because we speak against sin we are labeled as 'haters'. God hates sin and His Spirit lives in us. We even hate sin in our own lives. As we work to love the sinner and hate the sin the world chooses to ignore the love we show. It is the twisted message from the father of lies that 'What kind of God puts all this temptation in front of you then condemns you for indulging'. This is one of the most insidious twists of Lucifer that leads many to their doom.

Image Of Virgin Mary Appears In Bird Dropping On Area Family’s Truck

BRYAN (July 16, 2009)--The Pachuca family of Bryan says an image on their pickup truck is a miracle.

The image that came in an unlikely form of a bird dropping appeared on Sunday.

That was the first time Salvador Pachuca had been back to the home since having an accident there four months ago.

"I told my brothers come over here and see what this is and they say this is the Virgin," he said.
....
"I think we're going to just put it on a shelf outside, probably take off the mirror and keep it there cause its something special to us. I'm not going to wash it off," says Cristal Pachuca.

German progressives had Hitler, American progressives had Margaret Sanger.

Sanger's legacy is still going strong, promoted aggressively by liberal politicians and financed with money stolen from you. If Sanger could watch us from down there in hell, she would be tinkled pink that not only has word not gone out "that we want to exterminate the Negro population," but the progressive Democrat Party is getting close to 100% of the black vote — even as her main legacy, Planned Parenthood, executes black babies at a dramatically disproportionate rate.

Ever since the lie of evolution was brought into the picture, many believe we evolved from animals. That lie makes us no better than animals. The way some people act, I could almost believe that about them.

Looking at animal behavior and trying to prove by that behavior that homosexuality is normal is quite a stretch. Just another feeble attempt by homosexuals to justify their perverted behavior. To use that example as proof is saying that they are as dumb as animals with no ability to think or reason for themselves. Animals live and act by instinct alone and just have a natural desire to procreate and can't always tell whether the one they're trying to mate with is male or female.

Humans know the difference and sometimes choose to be with their own gender instead of the way God intended--one male with one female.

Xavier High School in Albury printed the letter, written by former student Matt Price, in the latest edition of its alumni newsletter Xavier.

Mr Price said he was "trying to make the world free of homosexuals", who live lives devoted to "sex and drugs".

"The gay side of life, all it's ever been is going out and doing that sort of stuff … the world just really doesn't need that," he said.

Mr Price said he was a "cured" homosexual and now lived in Noosa working as a registered nurse.

Anti-discrimination campaigner Garry Burns blasted Xavier High's decision to publish the letter, saying he understood Mr Price's letter to mean that gays and lesbians should be killed.

"It says he wants the removal of homosexuals from the face of the earth and there's only one way to interpret that," Burns told ninemsn.

"There are people out there who will express that endorsement through bashings, murder and all sorts of things … they'll go out and say the Catholic Church is right: 'let's get a poof and kill him'."

The 52-year-old, who last year sued 2UE presenter John Laws after he called gay men "pillow-biters" on-air, said Xavier High officials "ran away and hid like Burmese kittens" after he asked them to apologise and make a $5000 donation to gay and lesbian support group Twenty10.

Burns said he hoped media reports, including one by gay and lesbian publication SX News, would pressure the school into making a statement.

An online copy of the newsletter on the school's website has been changed to remove all of Mr Price's comments about homosexuality.

Xavier High headmaster Neville Powells could not be contacted for comment although he addressed the remarks in a recent student newsletter.

"We live in a country where free speech is available to all," Mr Powells said.

"That said, I apologise for any offence caused — certainly none was intended. "Unfortunately on this occasion some elements of the published letter were not detected during the editing process and were included in the distribution."

'Let* the religious schools indoctrinate the littlies to the most dysfunctional of views'

No doubt you have not noticed the obvious that by far the most dysfunctional families come from the secular zoos. Your own earth worshiping religion [runner's talking about secular views here] fails dismally and only adds to the dysfunction. The only difference between the perverted homosexual priests that molest children and the secular teachers is that one pays compensation while the other does not.

Your 'intellectually superior' pseudo science such as evolution is yet to achieve any real science breakthroughs. You are blinded by your own bias and dogmas. The ethics you refer to are no doubt very elastic and nonsensical.

"I was given the 'honor' to temporarily marry young girls before they were sentenced to death."

In the Islamic Republic (of Iran) it is illegal to execute a young woman, regardless of her crime, if she is a virgin, he explained. Therefore a "wedding" ceremony is conducted the night before the execution: The young girl is forced to have sexual intercourse with a prison guard - essentially raped by her "husband."

"I regret that, even though the marriages were legal," he said.

Why the regret, if the marriages were "legal?"

"Because," he went on, "I could tell that the girls were more afraid of their 'wedding' night than of the execution that awaited them in the morning. And they would always fight back, so we would have to put sleeping pills in their food. By morning the girls would have an empty expression; it seemed like they were ready or wanted to die.

"I remember hearing them cry and scream after [the rape] was over," he said. "I will never forget how this one girl clawed at her own face and neck with her finger nails afterwards. She had deep scratches all over her."

Returning to the events of the last few weeks, and his decision to set free the two teenage detainees, he said he "honestly" did not know why he had released them, a decision that led to his own arrest, "but I think it was because they were so young. They looked like children and I knew what would happen to them if they weren't released."

He said that while a man is deemed "responsible for his own actions at 13, for a woman it is 9," and that it was freeing the 15-year-old girl that "really got me in trouble.

"I was not mistreated or really interrogated while being detained," he said. "I was put in a tiny room and left alone. It was hard being isolated, so I spent most of my time praying and thinking about my wife and kids."

As previously posted, billboards proclaiming "Birth Control is HARMFUL" have been placed around the diocese of Tulsa, OK.

The signs are a response to Planned Parenthood's "Birth control is Easy" billboards. KOTV covers this story in an online article.

We really like the idea of this billboard project - so much we are going to launch our own separate and secular version in 2007.

Imagine the nation peppered with signs stating "Birth control is harmful" or "Contraception is harmful". In addition to this simple message, the billboards will list a web address for further information -- most likely the website www.BirthControlIsHarmful.com (go ahead and take a peek).

We hope the folks in Tulsa inspire other organizations to confront the contraceptive mentality in creative ways. They certainly inspired us... Stay tuned to ContraceptionBlog.com for more details..

[News item on ecology-conscious kids]

The idea of saving the planet is great, and as Christians God has commanded us to be good stewards of His planet. But He also tells us of a time that the He will personally destroy and remake the Earth. The reason for this is primarily the tribulation and the judgments God is forced to reign down on the population. If God were to leave this world, it would still be cursed and therefor not perfect like He intended it. But instead He is going to soon remake the Earth perfectly as a new home for those who love Him.

It is true, we should be doing everything we can to lessen our destruction of the planet because we do live here, and more importantly it is God's creation. However, there is so much more that is going to be created and enjoyed than this planet, so obsessing over it and becoming co-dependent on recycling like the girls in this video did is, simply ludicrous.

I will give your "theory" more credit than some here, but it does have some flaws pertaining to the shift in the plane of rotation. If either pole were shifted further toward the direction of the Sun than the current 22.5 degrees that exists, then one pole would be much warmer than the other, creating a greater difference in temperature at either. The hemisphere closer to the sun would likewise be warmer. This might account for one being polar, while the other was hotter than any equatorial regions now, but I don't think that the ice age theory goes along this line.

I do believe that the Earth's plane of rotation has changed, but not to the extreme that your idea suggests. If the Earth once had a plane of rotation at or near 0 degrees, and at the same time, was cover by an immensely thick canopy of clouds, than by the evenness of heating and the greenhouse effect of the clouds, the weather globally would be quite similar, without any ice caps at either pole. This would fit with the Bible's description of the Earth at the time of Genesis, and would also account for the flood of Noah and the differences between then and now.

"You're being asked to point to the Bible's definition of 'kind."

why should the Bible need to give one? It rather preceded empirical specialisms. Conversely everyone [ except apparently evolutionists] knows that a frog is not a 'kind' of cow, whereas both lions and cheetahs are 'kinds' of cat. Thus, amazingly enough, it wasn't written with the scientific community exclusively in mind! However it claims to propose truth and where those truths touch on science they claim relevance. Thus for example the notion that the heavens were "unrolled like a tent" is precisely the way in which one would explain gravity to a layperson.

Apparently the down stream fish evolved into a new breed of fish. This demonstrates the weakness of which hypothesis?

So a fish "evolved" into a fish? That's not the claim of Darwinism (a term widely recognized in the scientific community as a valid description of evolution), and it's not the way that "evolve" is typically used. "Evolve" has a much more loaded meaning.

The Bible is fully consistent with fish "evolving" into other kinds of fish. However, Darwinism teaches that fish evolved into other kinds of animals, something completely unproved by science.

A few test to disprove the theory of creation:
1. Show nothing producing something. Get your own Pot or kettle, call it black if you want, fill it with nothing, then pull something out of it.
2. Create life. From non living stuff.
3. Create a new stable element.
4. Disprove the creation of coal in a lab. - show long periods of time are required
5. Cause a genetic mutation that adds information to an organism. Grow feathers on a pig.
6. Kill Christianity. In the Bible, God claims that satan will not be able to remove God’s word from the earth.

Liberals often say that premediated child murder (abortion) should be available to women because sometimes they get pregnant from being raped. Well why do they want to take out their anger over being raped out on their unborn baby? If they are old enough to get pregnant, shouldn't they be old enough to assume responsibility for their actions? This includes considering what they might have done to bring on the rape, like wear promiscuous clothing.

Sometimes when my kids get angry, they take out their anger on each other. But they are kids. Adults should know better then to do this, or so I would think, especially when it comes to the life of a baby who hasn't even had a chance to breathe outside air yet.

What a great God we serve who can bring innocent life into the world through an attack!

(headshaking smiley)Catholic Invasion

Hi, I'm really hoping to get some advice here. My sixteen year old sister attends a Bible study at her school (they meet early in the morning or after school hours, depending), but just recently one of the other members invited a Catholic student to attend. (facepalm smiley) At first I thought this would be a good chance for them to witness to him, but it's become clear from what my sister has said that he isn't there to learn at all. Instead he's being divisive and has already stated that they can't convert him, and then he acts offended when they try to lovingly show him the false teachings of Catholicism and how those teachings are leading millions of people to hell. (eyerolling smiley) Also, when they were discussing the end times and how everything is starting to match up and hoping that the rapture would be soon, he told them that the rapture was a lie popularized by Darby (headscratching smiley) and that all the scripture supporting it is either misinterpreted or taken out of context. (fainting smiley) They tried to show him how the scriptures do in fact support the pre-trib rapture, but he insisted that it was a dangerous belief and that he wanted no part in "their desperate pipe dream." (eyetwitching smiley) My sister wants to ask him to leave, but some of the others are afraid of offending him further, and SOME are even starting to think that he may be right (headshaking smiley), saying how they don't see how he's not a Christian and wondering if the rapture actually is a pipe dream. (fainting smiley) My sister has asked me what she should do, but I'm at as much of a loss as she is (running around screaming in hysteria smiley)--Do any of you have any ideas?
