I've still not quite worked out why atheists, as a species, are so nasty. So they tell us that don't believe in God -- yes, fine, whatever; so what. But why on earth do people who tell us that they believe that they have no life but this want to spend it fouling themselves with abuse and hate? It doesn't make sense, rationally, in their own terms.

I suppose their real position is to worship convenience and hatred for Christianity which they see (were brought up to see) as a barrier to this. But it's not as if Christians were in any position to obstruct their whoring and drinking and doping (or whatever), is it?

All the best,

I think this is totally sick, but I agree that it's not really surprising. But I would also like to know where they did the survey. I wonder if maybe they called a lot of people who are on the welfare rolls.

What we are really saying here is that delayed adolescence, delaying marriage for education/career advancement, and dating while trying to do these things is simply foolish. If you are actively dating, then you should be considering marriage as the natural end of that action. If you believe that you must/have too delay marriage for what ever reason, don't be dating.

I can't find it but someone mentioned kissing in this thread, and I had previously mentioned Paul's command for a man not to touch a woman[...]

So early research evidence points to the fact that the human body reacts to kissing by the release of hormones in the body which lead to increased levels of arousal, and attachment. Kissing leads to sex. Maybe not the first, second or third time, but the act of kissing is a prelude to the sex act.

Dudes, keep your lips off of the lady until you have a license.

[Someone is a bit confused about who wrote "The DaVinci Code"]

Why do some actually believe the Da Vinci Code?
First of all, I'm not very convinced that Leonardo Da Vinci was a very intelligent person. He invented a couple of things and made a few paintings. So what??? I'm not very impressed with anything he has done. Not to mention he was a liar. Jesus never married, or had children. So, I think Leonardo Da Retardo's code is just a bunch of lies coming from a mouth of a human with low intellect.

Don't forget that it is the New Agers who plan on forcing the entire human race through a mass satanic initiation into their Age of Aquarius. And they claim that those who choose not to be initiated, are choosing not to evolve to the higher level for the human race... these people (us Christians) will enter a different level of consciousness. (uh huh.) It will be a painful time for the human race, but a necessary pain, in order to evolve to the next higher level.

Lots of gobbledygook, but not hard to see what they mean. Will we have to lay down our lives in 2012? I wouldn't be surprised a bit. Guillotines don't scare me. In fact, I want to go home NOW. Different level of consciousness, here I come!

[Mac shares how, unlike Bristol Palin, she and her future husband made abstinence "realistic."]

Heck yeah! Nothing is impossible with God! My advice? Don't wait so long to get hitched, and don't even date anyone that's not as committed to purity as you are. Spend a lot of your "alone time" in public places.

My hubby and I made it to our wedding day with a funny sort of strategy: when it seemed so frustrating that we just didn't have an outlet to express how deep our love had become, we took a Snickers break! (Yeah, the candy bar.) After all, "Nothing Satisfies Like a Snickers!" It seriously helped lighten the mood. (We had to laugh at ourselves with our pathetic little candy bars.) And it was a nice way to distract a one track mind, while giving ourselves a little reward for keeping it together.

<b>This is a comment on my blog. The thread is regarding a post I did about the Florida hospital which denied a life-partner's request to be with her dying lover, despite having documents proving the relationship.</b>

America.

You must look at the totality in order to appreciate what America has done for all humanity. Would England still exist? Would Cuba still be a Spanish colony subjected to inhuman Catholic tortures? But America is losing itself, and thus, by extension, losing the entirety of humanity.

Our Constitution includes a paeon to our Almighty. Our President swore to uphold the Constitution so help him, God. Without the liberty of free will gifted us by the Almighty, our Constitution would not have been written.

Now we, as a nation, have begun to turn away from God, the Everlasting, the Almighty, the Eternal, the Loving. By granting rights to those who willingly engage in perversity, we risk losing our blessed covenant with the Lord. By all that is right, those who practise such pervisities should not even be allowed to live.

God ordained that marriage is between man and woman, or, in some cultures, women. No culture allows man to marry man, nor woman to marry woman. No society condones such perversity. Or, at least, no society has until now.

Massachussets allows perverts to marry. California tries, through judicial activism, to force through the same. And now, we face a financial and economic disaster to rival the Great Depression. And it is not just America. We bring down the world with us.

In the 1920s, America turned away from God. We were punished with depression and war, both of which reawakened American religiousity. Today, we have war and a burgeoning depression. Our only hope for America, nay, for the world, is to embrace God in all His infinite reason and infinite love so that the world may be born again through the cleansing of disaster.

Better one woman be denied a visit to her partner than America be damned. Better two men are kept out of pervisity than the world be lost.

Quote# 59406

Your question at the end begs the answer that God is a cruel taskmaster who takes pleasure in crushing the defenseless humans for enjoyment.

...and so it probably does to everyone who has a flawed picture of what God's true nature is like.

We are the ones who wronged him. Any rights we had when he created us are forfeit. If he chose to send everyone to hell, then we would only be getting what we rightfully deserved.

However, that's not what he did. He sent his one and only, perfect, son to die a humiliating death, which pays the price for all the wrongs we ever did against Him. He only asks one thing in return in order to receive his mercy and free gift, and that is to take him at his word.

So, to that I say; Yes, God is good. He is so good, as a matter of fact, that it is beyond our wildest imagination. The sum of his goodness is way beyond any human's comprehension, which is why people pose questions like this to begin with.

We have one choice. Trust him and take him at his word, or not. Our choice has zero bearing on whether or not he actually exists, what his character is like, and what rules he has laid down for his creations.

Is this why atheists, pagans, etc don't like us Christians?
They look at us, and see how we are. They notice that we don't do many of the things they do, like go to parties and get drunk, steal from our neighbors, have promiscuous sex, and cheat on our significant others. This makes them feel bad about themselves, but at the same time, they feel as if they are being scolded. The light that is our righteousness casts light upon their misdeeds, and it makes them uncomfortable, like walking into a well lit room after being in the dark for a long time.

(superb example of irony)

Did anyone watch Law and Order last night. The Episode is called Rapture and it is about a man who joined a site that would send out emails to his family when the rapture happened. He had killed his wife and he told in the email that his wife's body was in the fridge. I am watching it now, but it looks like what you expect with Hollywood, showing people who believe in the rapture as being mentally not all there.

Science tells us our body renews all its cells every 7 years. If we were only our body we would have to relearn everything again because all of our knowledge is contained in the physical aspect of man. But this again is not so, even the bible shows people who died in heaven remembering and recognizing others.

Quote# 59338

Since "Day One" the devil has wanted to overthrow the influence the Bible has had on the United States of America. He took over the educational system and changed teaching from biblical to secular resulting in graduates who are immoral and irreligious. He took over Hollywood and began producing pictures that taught Americans that the only pleasure worth pursuing was sexual pleasure. He took over the News Media and replaced preachers with reporters and the Gospel of God with the "Gospel of Liberalism." Today Americans trust newsmen more than preachers. Why? Because preachers are all "money-grubbing womanizers!" Who told them that? Newsmen! Hmm.

But one of the devil's most successful (and invisible) takeovers was the takeover of the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Once he had the INS he began to execute the same program that had been so successful in Fiji. First, the INS virtually closed the doors to white, Christian immigrants from Europe. Then they opened the floodgates to import pagan Hindus, Buddhists and Moslems. They turned a blind eye to the massive breach of our border with Mexico. Their goal was to dilute the Christian influence in America. If anyone noticed they were scolded with a new Liberal lie. They were told "America has always been multi-cultural." No, you dirty, filthy lying devil, America has always been a "melting-pot" where immigrants left their old ways (and gods) behind and embraced the Bible and its teachings!

Muslims can't swear on a bible without punishment from Allah.

I am not really sure about the "age of accountability". I know many who received Christ into their hearts as young as 3/4 years old. God would also foreknow who would come to faith in him had they lived out their lives. I also agree with earlier post about the great flood and the sodom children not being spared and also God telling the Jews to put to death every living thing with regard to their enemies in battle and that included children. I do not think we remotely understand the incredible holiness and wrath of God! Thank God for the precious blood of Jesus in our lives!!!

Our local school board just voted to include the term "gender identification" in its non-discrimination policy.

"The Board is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in relation to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other............"

I had suggested that instead of adding gender identity they should remove sexual orientation and add " neurological disorders, sinful behavior, or.........." which would include everything else they'll ultimately need to add at a later date to keep everyone happy.

Having lived on an Old Amish farm for well over 6 years, I have first-hand experience with this cult. I believe they are a cult because they cut themselves off from the outside world, church elders enact and enforce social laws, members are forced to abide by social rules or they’re shunned or excommunicated, members are required to give complete loyalty to being Amish, and children are brainwashed to believe their way of life is better than the “fancy” folk. Therefore, children are taught to shun worldly things, including associations with non-Amish children. The best way I know how to describe it is social engineering.

The gay activists have oppressive power in Britain. We show tolerance to ‘gays’ and get tyranny in return by Peter Hitchen, about how the Homonazi Gedankenpolizei force approval of homosexual behaviour, and even took children away from loving grandparents to give to a gay "couple" to adopt. I also documented how a bishop was fined for refusing to hire a practising homosexual. The BBC execs also admitted a pro-gay and christophobic bias.

love this man. His life alone is evidence of his innocence. Judges commonly use a person's prior record as proof of intent. I ask that the judge look at his record and see if there is anything that would suggest this man would willingly break a law. Also there are countless men that have been convicted of much worse crimes and received a much lighter sentence. This is ridiculous! Free Hovind! He is innocent.

Kitzmiller vs. Dover Area School District

Kitzmiller vs. Dover Area School District was a case in Pennsylvania challenging the inclusion of a one-minute presentation on Intelligent design to precede the evolution curriculum, and the inclusion of "Of Pandas and People" in public school libraries. The court ruled that the statement was unconstitutional and that Intelligent Design was not science.

The Discovery Institute has argued that the decision was incorrect and that the judge had no right or ability to rule on what was science. Furthermore, the Discovery Institute has recently found that the judge who ruled in it, federal judge John E. Jones, quoted verbatim the main section of the overwhelmingly biased court decision from a document written by ACLU lawyers. This was John E. Jones time to act like a judge and rule based on his enforcement of the Constitution. What he did was cow-tow to liberal organizations such as the ACLU, and effectively submit to the evolutionary scientific establishment.
