As a former evolutionist myself, now when I look at the evidence for and against various theories of origins the only logical explanation to the mental gymnastics most die hard evolutionists go through is pride. It's what kept the established state church believing in the idea that the heavenly bodies revolved around the earth as the unsaved scientists taught (despite what the Bible says) for centuries, and it's what kept them believing the earth was flat like the ungodly scientists of the day believed (despite what the Bible says).

[Regarding a film about a girl who helps her friend obtain an illegal abortion in Romania during the 1980s.]

Abortion is a sin against God - a sin against humanity. It is the unjust killing of a human. This film doesn't condemn it at all. It doesn't explore the immoral aspect of abortion in any shape or form. Thus I found watching this film a waste of my time.

GOD did not make you this way. The devil did. Homosexuality is a demonic spirit. Once the spirit takes hold of you, and your appetite for gay sex increases, the spirit takes POSSSESION of you, and your desires take on every desire and whim that the demon has.

It(the demon of homosexuality) then changes your voice, your mannerisms, likes, dislikes, your ability to be different than the characteristics of this demon. IN OTHER WORDS, it totally TAKES CONTROL OF YOUR BEING.

THE GREATER DECEPTION IT CAUSES IS THAT, IT IS OKAY TO BE GAY, AND THAT YOU WERE BORN LIKE THAT. This belief IS FROM THE PIT OF HELL, AND UNINFORMED, UNAWARE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN BUYING IT for CENTURIES.

A district court in Saudi Arabian capital Jeddah sentenced a pregnant gang -rape victim to 100 lashes and one year imprisonment after the court pronounced her of committing adultery.

The 23-year old woman was reportedly assaulted after accepting a lift from a man in Jeddah. She was taken into a house and was raped by the man and his four friends. The woman after getting pregnant went to King Fahd Hospital for Armed Forces in an attempt to carry out an abortion where her 'crime' was revealed.

The judge who pronounced the verdict said that the unmarried woman had committed adultery as she became pregnant after a forced sexual intercourse. She will be sent to a prison outside Jeddah to spend the one year imprisonment where she will be flogged after delivering her child.

According to Islamic Sharia law, The testimony of four male witnesses is the standard for establishing guilt in sexual offenses. If four male witnesses do not come forward and the rape victim becomes pregnant, her pregnancy becomes evidence that she has committed adultery.

PATNA, India - Eight members of a man's poverty-ridden family were shot and beheaded before their bodies were thrown into a river in eastern India after he secretly married a wealthy girl, police said Wednesday.

Police in the eastern state of Bihar found the eight bodies floating in a river and have charged 15 people, mostly from the girl's family, with the murders.

The weekend killing took place after 21-year-old Ratan Mandal eloped with 18-year-old Kanchan Kumari, afraid their families would never approve due to an old social rivalry.

"The girl's family invited the boy's family for a meeting on the pretext of settling the dispute, but killed all eight and beheaded them," said Raghunath Prasad Singh, a senior police officer from Bhagalpur, where the incident took place.

Lawless region
Bhagalpur, one of India's most lawless regions, has been notorious for revenge and honor killings.

Men and women are still murdered across the villages of eastern and northern India for daring to marry outside their caste.

In May last year, a young couple was murdered by the girl's family in northern India for marrying within the same village, considered taboo in many communities.

Militants belonging to a group called Sri Ram Sena, who claim to be custodians of Indian culture, said Valentine's Day is un-Indian.

The threat comes days after the group's activists stormed a bar in the south western city of Mangalore, dragging out and beating women they accused of acting obscenely and "going astray".

The attack led to fears an extremist "Hindu Taliban" was on the rise in India.

Gangadhar Kulkarni, an activist in the group, which is a radical wing of the Hindu nationalist movement, said: "If people celebrate the day despite our warning, then we will definitely attack them."

"Valentine's Day is definitely not Indian culture. We will not allow celebration of that day in any form," added Pramod Mutalik, the group's founder.

[this chic is all kinds of batshit. she definitely has a jesus complex, thinks she's a prophet and she's oppressed by other christians]

Over the years I have been labeled a "firestarter", "difficult"...any other name that can apply to that - because I have asked for Biblical authority and Christian authenticity. Yes, I do fail - I fall short like anyone else. But when my husband saw this definition of "propecy" he saw in me someone who had no problem bringing the truth of Scripture to others, who willingly allowed God to work through her by way of Biblical truth, who had no outlandish prophecies but offered insight as to how current events were propelling the world towards the End Times and that changes needed to be made in people's lives because time was short, someone who was incisive, clear, particularly controversial (to those who didn't want to receive Biblical truth), who could see the need for unity within the Body of Christ when no one else wanted to or could and someone who never seems to lack the ability to tell it like it is. This is how my husband saw me and often times it blew him away.

To everyone else though...I was either responding because of my bipolar disorder or because I was a heretic, a false prophet. I didn't realize I was doing anything wrong by simply saying, "Hey - this definition of prophecy fits me."

Do I go around saying I am a prophet? No. Humility won't let me. But when the shoe fits, I wear it, just not as pubicly as I used to. I don't even ever think of myself as a prophet...but when I tell my family and friends they need to honor God, support Israel and that time is short...all too quickly I am reminded of the gifts God has given me and that my sufferings are for His glory because they tell me I am crazy, cast me aside and make me feel the sting of all the shunning and ostracising by each of the churches listed above all over again. Have I given up? What do you think...

[Article, not quote. Still fits.]

A mob attack on women drinking in a college-town bar has set off the latest battle in the great Indian culture wars, uncorking a national debate over moral policing and its political repercussions, and laying bare the limits of freedom for young Indian women.

The latest Old versus New India hubbub began one Saturday last month when an obscure Hindu organization, which calls itself Sri Ram Sena, or the Army of Ram, a Hindu god, attacked several women at a bar in the southern Indian college town of Mangalore and accused them of being un-Indian for being out drinking and dancing with men.

The Sena had television news crews in tow, so its attack on the women at the bar, called Amnesia — the Lounge, was swiftly broadcast nationwide.

The video, broadcast repeatedly since then, showed some women being pushed to the ground and others cowering and shielding their faces. It was unclear whether they were trying to protect themselves from their assailants’ fists or the television cameras or both. None of them have come out publicly since then, and it is unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt.

Eventually, more than 10 members of the Sena were arrested, only to be released on bail in a week. Since then, they have promised to campaign against Valentine’s Day, which they criticized as a foreign conspiracy to dilute Indian culture, and they said they did not disapprove of men drinking at bars.

(Not a quote, but...)

A Woman suspected of recruiting more than 80 female suicide bombers has confessed to organising their rapes so she could later convince them that martyrdom was the only way to escape the shame.

Samira Jassam, 51, was arrested by Iraqi police and confessed to recruiting the women and orchestrating dozens of attacks.

In a video confession, she explained how she had mentally prepared the women for martyrdom operations, passed them on to terrorists who provided explosives, and then took the bombers to their targets.

"We arrested Samira Jassim, known as 'Um al-Mumenin', the mother of the believers, who was responsible for recruiting 80 women'', Major General Qassim Atta said.

"She confessed her responsibility for these actions, and she confirmed that 28 attempts had been made in one of the terrorists' strongholds,'' he said.

Samira Jassim was arrested on January 21. She is allegedly linked to the Ansar al-Sunnah insurgent group.

Two of the attacks for which Samira Jassim admitted responsibility in the video confession took place in Diyala province, in central Iraq, which is considered one of the most dangerous areas of the country.

The Associated Press reports US military figures indicate at least 36 female suicide bombers attempted or carried out 32 attacks last year. Women are often allowed through military checkpoints without being searched, making it easier for them to hide explosives under their traditional robes.

Advice Needed: How Do I Coexist with Atheists?

I have been a Christian almost all my life and just recently I've been worshiping more than ever. I consult God with just about everything when I remember to. The thing is, I've taken more notice to the atheists and other non-believers around me. Most of which enjoy making rude comments and ask me questions about the Bible that I find difficult to answer.

Being a Christian, I know one is supposed to pray for those non-believers, and I am truly trying, but they make it difficult for me to even care about their well-being.

Does anyone have suggestions for coexisting with atheists?

[...] Plus I love all the lies atheists continue to spew on here when in fact more murders have been committed by nonreligious people. I guess that little FACT escaped your attention.

People want to live as cavemen, indulge in amoral sexual practices and take absolutely no responsibility for their behaviour. This conflicts with Christian and Muslim teaching, so they dredge up the ancient superstition called atheism so they can claim they are not bound by any moral code. They then reinforce this delusion by making wild claims about religion being responsible for wars.

The atheist dictators of the 20th century accounted for more violent deaths than all previous ones since before Christianity came into existence. The bloodiest war ever was the first world war which started when an atheist shot a Catholic prince. But when has the truth ever worried atheists?

thumbs down all you want what I said is a proven FACT not a "theory" and/or an opinion but FACT !!!!

Many of you have cause and effect out of whack. Surely God destroyed New Orleans because of its wickedness and rampant homosexuality. But New Orleans was homosexual because New Orleans was Catholic. New Orleans’ Catholicity and her other wicked attributes were inextricably linked. Most people will be shocked to learn that Haiti was not the center of Voodoo and Santeria in the world, New Orleans was. Voodoo and Santeria are both pagan earth religions heavily mixed liberally with (or rooted in) Catholicism. The mixture is easy because Voodoo and Santeria practitioners are comfortable and at home with Catholicism. In truth, Santeria priests are merely honest Catholic priests. Voodoo priests are merely honest Catholic priests. They are honest about what spirits they are invoking and the demonic and devilish nature of their practices. There is a reason that Anne Rice (author of many books on Vampires and Witches) and other adherents to Satanism and fans of the “undead” felt at home in New Orleans, and it wasn’t homosexuality. It was Catholicism and the demonic stronghold of wicked ecclesiastical power that drew witches, warlocks and the lovers of the dark side to New Orleans.

[9 links in the dinosaur to bird transition]

Lisa in OK:

And I have plenty of evidence that yachts evolved from rowboats . . . lol. I mean, it's obvious. Just look at them. They are both "boat" shaped and float on water. It can't be possible that humans saw that a rowboat was a good design and decided to use it to make bigger boats. No, rowboats just grew molecularly into bigger boats. Evolutionists hate it when we we say "if men come from apes, why are there still apes" because they have no logical way to explain it. Gotta love it. What I wonder why it even matters to them. Why are they spending so much time and effort trying to prove something like this? In the end, it doesn't matter anyway.

FrankBeMe:

I've seen this commercial every now and then on National Geographic channel, that says birds evolved from dinosaurs and that whales were once land mammals. Yeah....for some crazy reason, one of the creatures, just out of the blue, decided to jump the water and magically turn its legs into fins. The rest saw this, thought it was way cool and jumped in too! Of course some didn't like it, but found that if they went back to land, their legs didn't come back so they were stuck with fins forever.

Not Perfect, But Forgiven:

I agree. They have to start making up more creative ideas to this thing. This is getting boring. If you're going to decieve people, at least make it less obvious that you're a moron. God's Word layed all this out eons ago, and here we have these Johnny come lately's with their huge pensions and tenure on the line making up all this garbage about "transitions." I say get a real life. "Keep trying" sums it up pretty good my friend.

Telling kids that they came from microbes is total unsubstantiated speculation and conjecture. It is basically no different than idol worship.
