On principle, I think vaccines are great (our older kids got all of them), but once we found out that our second son was severely autistic and thimerosal (a preservative in some vaccines) was implicated, we became more cautious. Somewhere along the way we found out about the aborted fetal cells, too.

I have a pet hunch that, instead of thimerosal, a curse borne of those cells may be the culprit...

When I had my first pregnancy, it was a tubal. I was having many complications at the time, and had no idea why. (didn't know about the tubal till later) One night at church, a brother that was preaching told me that God said "it is well". Naturally, I thought oh God, you're going to save my baby. But, that wasn't His will. I miscarried not too long after that.

...

I believe that God saved me from having to have an abortion, because He knew that I'd of died first before allowing the drs. to abort my baby.

Marriage is not the state’s business. Only people who believe in God need to be married. To others, marriage doesn’t really have a meaning, and the divorce laws, child protection agencies, and gay marriage are the result.

To whom or what does the atheist make his marriage vows? The state?

Only STATISTS believe the state has the power or authority to create and dissolve families.

Fred: So what do you call the union of a couple of 70 year old's who can't have children?

Tommy: Biologically still possible, Fred. Two dïcks? two vaginas? Can't happen in a billion years. That's the diff.

No skeptic, to my knowledge, ever made a major scientific discovery or advanced the welfare of others. Typically they sit by the side of the road with a sign that reads "You're Wrong" so that every passerby, whether an Einstein, Gandhi, Newton, or Darwin, can gain the benefit of their illuminated skepticism.

Quote# 68438

Dies, before a person can REALLY understand science, God asks that we take our pride and our brain and set it on the table, then place faith in Him and the Bible. Once you have the humility to believe the Bible without condition, then God will reveal to you how TRUE SCIENCE supports the Bible all along. I've done this and found it extraordinarily fulfilling. Here is an example.

In Genesis 22:17, God promised Abraham that his descendents would be as numberless as the stars in the sky. Thousands of years ago, a Greek philosopher counted all the stars visible at the time and numbered them at 3400 or so. It wasn't until powerful successor telescopes to Galileo's telescope were invented a couple hundred years ago that we were able to determine that this 4000-year-old verse was right all along. So if you were born 500 years ago, you would not have the scientific knowledge to prove this verse accurate. The Bible is immutable, not science.

But that's not a problem today. Today, we have enough scientific knowledge to prove just about every verse in the Bible that has to do with scientific phenomena. By my reckoning, the only one that's a little iffy is Job 37:18, but even that one has some good, solid indirect evidence.

Anyways, have faith and some humility, and put your faith in the Bible. If you do so, God will show you better science, and your faith will become extremely solid.

However, I do believe that it would be a tragedy to our society if we would reduce marriage to what it would have to be in order to justify homosexual marriage. I don't write this with the intention to sadden you or ruin your day. I just really don't see why homosexuals can't either produce an argument that shows how a marriage is fruitful or why they can't just live together without the license.

"The Biological Swapmeet

The typical sexual practices of homosexuals are a medical horror story --imagine exchanging saliva, feces, semen and/or blood with dozens of different men each year. Imagine drinking urine, ingesting feces and experiencing rectal trauma on a regular basis. Often these encounters occur while the participants are drunk, high, and/or in an orgy setting. Further, many of them occur in extremely unsanitary places (bathrooms, dirty peep shows), or, because homosexuals travel so frequently, in other parts of the world.

Every year, a quarter or more of homosexuals visit another country.20 Fresh American germs get taken to Europe, Africa and Asia. And fresh pathogens from these continents come here. Foreign homosexuals regularly visit the U.S. and participate in this biological swapmeet."

[Comment on an article about a new study that shows that people attribute their own opinions to god]

Wow . . . Idolatry Exists . . . Never Knew

Wow ... this confirms what Christians and Jews have known for ... say ... ABOUT 3000 years!!! LOL.

Idolatry is humanly constructing gods to serve your own purposes. Christians worship a crucified God, something which defies idolatry and this study.

Speaking in tongues, does this happen to Muslims?
I have witnessed Christians speak in tongues, if God and Christianity do not exist and people doubt this, how can this happen? I want to know what you think about this.
And Muslims if you doubt and deny Jesus Christ how can you explain this? Members of Islam have you ever witnessed this gift in Islam (the ability to speak to god one-on-one), if not does that make you question which religion is the truth?

It should be merry CHRISTMAS or nothing else.. if other holidays are that important get a date for them and celebrate them on their special date. I dont like to see Christmas watered down with throwing in every other celebration in the world, how would people like it if we started taking over their celebrations and calling them something else! Ha then we would really hear screams and protests!

Quote# 68415

By the way, humanism caused atheism. Humanism was arounda long time before it was finally defined in the humanist manifesto.

My opinion is that the Humanist Manifesto basically spelled out in formal terms the unwritten doctrine that many lived by since the first human rebellion against God. The only difference is that the Humanist Manifesto, being somewhat recent, includes and supports Darwinism, and outright mentions Darwinism. (Darwin was a devout Christian, by the way, who denounced his theories on his deathbed because apparently he felt guilty about them and I think that was because the church was against them).

Darwin, of course, and his evolutionist theories did not exist in ancient times, obviously. But the general doctrine of atheism has been around for centuries, and I'd also venture to say that there may have been a kind of humanist manifesto written centuries ago, as well - only not called by the name Humanist Manifesto.

Atheism is definitely nothing new, you're right, but the root is basic humanism - that is, a belief that humans are, in essence, their own Gods - that there is no higher power for humans to answer to; that humans are the highest power there is.

Atheists, whether one cares to admit this or not, believe that there is no higher spiritual power than themselves. There is no God, therefore people are the higher intelligence and/or supreme beings.

(beginning of quote sniped due to irrelevance)

What is even more amazing is that those who are scared of people like Palin are also the same ones that cannot let people be because they don't follow along believing evolution.

Know why evolutionists can't stand the thought of creationism? Because that means they have to answer for their actions ultimately. Notice creationists are not here bashing people who believe in evolution. Instead, its the "all accepting, inclusive" liberals that deride anything they don't agree with, even though evolution lacks any major evidence when looking at life above a certain (and very small) size.

[Re. the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed]

I can't stand this anymore!!!What can we do???!!! This is OUR Country, how can we stop this horrific administration and the damage they insist on trying to inflict on us! There has to be a way. I am not a lawyer and I don't know all the ins and outs of the constitution but I have noticed that the more of us that screams and the louder we scream, it seems to back down some of the plans this evil administration tries to do. Healthcare, cap and trade, and who knows what else, would have been a done deal if it weren't for American's and their tea parties and people like Glenn Beck. We can't stop now!! I am going to research and see what can be done to stop these terrorists from having the other terrorists sent to NY for a trial that has more to do with making America look bad than with any justice!!!
I am so mad and sad I'm turning inside out!

I am so ready to go home, I knew this was the end of America when he was voted in.
Never, did I cry over an election in my life, until Obama became the President in 2008.
Please Lord come get us.
I am sorry this country took you out of the schools, courthouses, Government prayers, and all we did to your Holy name. America basically spit in your face. It makes me sick to see all this evil down here like New Orleans, Homosexual Fest in California, pornography, raping, murdering and selling of children. I could go on Lord, but you are well aware.
Please, except my humble apology for the disgrace we have done to your blessing America.
Please, forgive me for not wanting to pray for the evil Muslims of the world.
I truly am sorry Lord

The plane that crashed in New York (Hudson) river. Some passengers prayed. Others read the flight safety card. Guess which was more useful?

I'm going for the praying as the plane did not sink and no-one lost their lives and no injuries were reported. Everyone is hailing it as a miracle, against all odds etc. The flight saftey card would have no power over the stability of the plane in the water, etc., etc.

Thank God for those that prayed and thank God for protecting all of them. God loves us all, even if we all don't love him.
