Quote# 56862

At the university level, Jason discovered that an important element in scientific study and the drawing of conclusions was this: that scientists usually are not aware of their presuppositions (i.e. they interpret scientific evidence in light of their existing worldview). It thus made it easier for him to see that intelligent scientists, many who were his professors, can disagree on what the evidence really means, for they have different starting points. So as he read creation materials, he could see that when the evidence was properly interpreted, it always supported the biblical account of creation (even with the thorny question of starlight and time).

[Re: Gay America Prepares To Party at Obama Inauguration.]

This sounds exactly like the Clinton inauguration. Lots of in-your-face liberal activists bashing Christianity. Gays doing unspeakables in the streets. God may be allowing America to flaunt her rebellion one last time.

(In response to the claim that atheists apparently find the existence of god 'worrisome.')

I think maybe the worrying has to do with what they see as wars and stuff that are fought in the name of God. I wish they could understand how those wars are necessary. We may kill people but at least we've saved their souls!

Quote# 56654

And God spoke to me in english. I suppose if I was from another country, He would of spoke to me in that
language. There was no accent detected, it was just a very calm still voice that spoke to me with purpose. I had just failed a job interview and had just got home. I was on my way upstairs to my bedroom when half way up the stairs I heard God speak to me for the first time. All He said was. "Tom, you did everything but pray about getting a job." That's all I heard, yet I did hear it, and for some reason I did not react to hearing a voice out of thin air. Instead, I just continued up the stairs, and rather then go to my room, I went into my parents bedroom and kneeled down by my mothers bed. I then said a short prayer about getting a job, and told Jesus that what ever happens now, it will be because of Him, and then I said Amen. As soon as I said the (A) of Amen, the phone next to me began to ring. When I pickup the phone, the man on the other end asked if my name was Tom Campbell. I told him it was, and then he said he had just picked up some paperwork that I had left on his desk from two weeks before, and he asked me if I could start working for their company the next monday morning. I told him I could, and I worked that job for about a year. So the voice I heard was also confirmed by the job I receieved immediately after I said that prayer. I doubt that God would allow His voice to be taped, yet there have been times where that could of happened, especially if sound was the only consideration. Hearing Gods voice is rare thing for me, yet it has occured on other occasions as well. And everytime He speaks to me, it is totally unexpected. It's almost like He is walking next to you all the time, and just every once in a while He makes a side comment to inform you about something.

Genetics? What DNA disproves evolution.

Look bro, until you find the ape man, and the millions of transitional fossils, as a critical thinker, evolutionism is inclusive.

How many times has the theory been changed in the last 100 years?

Do you know way it's been changed so many times? To this day the theory of evolution is still trying to be understood.

So until science can prove it, and explain it,
It's technically not science.

Athiest are pathetic people who dont want to be accountable to anything or anyone, so they force themselves to belive there is no God, when every fiber of their being is screaming out that there is a God. At the judgement seat, it's not a matter of "you didnt belive in God", it's a matter of "you rejected God", because all along you knew there is a God, yet you hid it inside with bunch of excuses.

There is no such thing as a "former Christian". If a person falls away from the faith, he was never written in the Book of Life to begin with. The scriptures are clear. All that are chosen will come to Christ. A TRUE Christian who has the Holy Spirit in him can no more turn his back of Jesus Christ than you Atheists could turn against your own flesh & blood. You atheists don't have a clue about spiritual matters. You are children of Satan, and Satan you serve!

"The homosexual community has sold the public their licentious lifestyle in the name of tolerance and freedom when they should be seeking to be freed from it. Ask the person dying from HIV if it was worth having hundreds of partners or if some of the millions who are enslaved to it would like to be free of it. (...) Legitimizing homosexuality and trying to condone it as being natural does harm to the person trying to be free from it and the society that should not be tolerating it."

Why do the non-believers fell so bloody threatened? We don't care if you do don't believe, go get out of our grills.

My favorite argument that drives them insane:

Assuming God gave us free will and wants us to come to Him...(I mean, He could have just made us Stepford Wives, right?)...then it makes sense that he would offer "evolutionary evidence" so that we would question creationism!

Sorry, but it takes just as much faith to believe evolution as it does creationism. It's all about which camp you're in. Just because some artist takes liberties and draws a monkey-like man based on a bone, doesn't prove a missing link...not to me.

If man "evolved" from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys?

[Question:
So Christians, why do you follow the part of the bible that says gays can't marry but you don't kill us?
Is it a law of the land thing? Like if it were made legal would you be dragging us to the gas chambers again... or do you have some other reservations with the way your magic man wants things handled?

Reddo via contraho!]

Answer:

The Bible says to follow the laws of one's land, and I don't fancy jail time.

"Like if it were made legal would you be dragging us to the gas chambers again"

Yes. I would, quite honestly, but like I said... laws of the land.

Just cause somehting happens doesn't mean God approves of it.

It's quite clear in Genesis all the examples of Polygamy are ultimately the cause of the family Dysfunction that is now the source of the entire Middle East crisis.

The Foundation f Traditional Marriage predates all those in Genesis 1&2. God only removes 1 of Adam's Ribs and made him only 1 wife.

Yes, make them learn science and how Macro Evolution is 100% true, what a crock. Anyone that believes that a tree somehow evolved into a human being doesn't understand microbiology one bit. Lets admit that no one knows anything 100%. It takes more faith to believe that Macro Evolution created everything than for there to be a God or some sort of Intelligence, or for that matter, space aliens that came to pawn us off on Earth as their own personal experiment.

[In a question about Bible contradictions.]

how do explain these contradictions in science. Like, how can monkeys evolve to be humans? Science has proven that objects can only evolve to a lower state of being, making it impossible for the human race to start out as little specs of dust. And by the way, Darwin said before he died that his theory's were impossible, but nobody listened to him because they finally had something to believe in.
