Any atheist who is willing to admit that he/she ignores the evidence that creationists present?
2 Peter 3:3-6 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:"

I was reading these verses, and I wondered if there were any atheists out there, who are willing to admit that they have never really looked into the creationist point of view? This question can also go out to the creationist in the same perspective. I'm guessing that no one from either side will admit it, but maybe I'll be surprised.

I saw a Angel. When I was in 3 grade. Angel spoke to my heart and said, "Don't be afraid. Your God sent me to comfort you." I was in a new school and every kid didn't like me one bit.

Doesn't matter what you guys say. But I'll keep on praying for your souls.

When I was a little kid after I saw SNOW WHITE. I asked, "God please let me go out with a girl that looks like Snow White." When the pray came true was in 2003.

(Think you've been sniffing some glue)

Nice try but I can't smell. God bless you and your family.

[on what they would do if elected president]

The Ten Commandments would be posted in every school, court room, prison, and any other place I can think of after I become president.
The Pledge of Allegiance would be recited EVERY morning in every school room, from kindergarten thru college, along with a Bible reading at the start of everyday.
And anyone who didn't like it, could leave the room until it was over. But the atheists and the ones who hate America would no longer tell the rest of us that we could not say the pledge or read the Bible.

[in response to someone saying being a liberal or conservitave isn't what makes you christian]

You are so wrong. Liberals are confused theologically.

Liberalism definitely goes against Christian values.

Haven't you begun to notice that you are swimming against the tide on this forum? Don't you ever wonder why? It's because your posts are always liberal and negative.

Your posts would fit in better over at Huffington Post or Daily Kos.

You are divisive, Rondaben.

And don't try to redefine the word "liberal" or redefine Christian values.

It won't go over very well here.

Quote# 46064

In short, the difference between belief in God and belief in the Flying Spaghetti Monster is this:

Belief in God is rational and supported by good reasons, and belief in the Flying Spaghetti Monster is irrational and not supported by any good reasons. Bobby Henderson simply begs the question (commits a logical fallacy) when he says that there are no good reasons for belief in God. Despite his claim to the contrary, Christianity is a rationally defensible religion. There are difficult questions that we must ask ourselves as Christians, but the fact that there are difficult questions is not grounds for dismissing Christianity. As believers, our pursuit of answers to our own deep-seated spiritual questions draws us further into the intellectual richness of the Christian faith.

Why do you believe in things without any evidence?
[apparently this question is an "adolescent taunt"]

Evidence, eh? You want evidence? I look at the Universe and I see an ironclad case for creation. This didn't happen by accident, it is the result of intelligent design. If you can't see that by just looking, then I don't like my chances of proving it to you by vaunting the miniscule knowledge that I have of the evidence. Try making a man from dirt and spit. No NO! FIRST, you have to make your own DIRT. That's GOD's dirt. Make your own, you copycat. Trying to make yourself out to be smarter than God? Make your own DIRT from NOTHING by just saying it's so.

[on how he knows Jesus Christ is real]

Jesus Christ raised me from the dead after I drowned in crude oil waste in a tank in 1982. I have more to go on than feelings. I should have been dead, or at best, brain dead. Cockroaches don't even live through that.

I have laid hands on the sick and seen them made well. I have cast devils out of people through the power of the name of Jesus Christ. I'm not naive enough to expect the likes of you to believe me[..]

2. The whole WORLD looks different when you've been reborn.

My, what a tired, boring existence yours must be if you cannot even grasp this most basic fact. So, let me throw a tired cliche' your way: "Try it, you'll like it." I don't need to spend a lot of time on you if you're not going to be saved.

This is absolutely sick. Being homosexual is not a sin.

Only actions can be sins.

If I did a genetic test and my baby was homosexual I'd tell him about it from the beginning and tell him that he's going to face unclean urges and that he must not act on them and must be celibate. I'd try to get him into the priesthood to make it more likely that he'd choose a celibate life.

Christians, what exactly was the point in the Tower of Babel story...?

... if taken literally, there was no way humans would build a tower to reach heaven. unless heaven was within viewing distance, which for the sake of argument i'll assume it isn't.

allegorically, there's still not a point to the story.

{A]
Babylon was a tower in Iraq. There was a one world government at that time. Thus Babylon=Iraq=NWO

The only evidence of evolution is basically within species. Apes or ape-like creatures did not become men. There is no evidence for that. Check out the "scientific" ages of various prehistoric men or pre-men, those ages demonstrate that the evolution of man is at this point ludicrous. I am saying look at evolutionists own dating and you will see there is no sign of evolution in mankind.

Christians do believe in 'cavemen', Troglodytes are apparently such and are in the Bible. They were 100% human, but they had lost significant civilization techniques as well as technology.

It's only hard for folks who repeatedly defend liberal positions in a conservative forum, Rondaben. Swiftly correcting anti-Christian views & statements IS "open discussion" here.

{on the rr crowd labeling anyone who disagrees with their politics "far-left wackos"]

Nope, labeling can be a valuable tool for identifying those who attempt to slip a little leaven into the lump. Happens all the time on Christian boards. Our Lord wasn't afraid to confront unbiblical ideas masquerading as truth. We follow His example here.

As for yoga, do a search here and you will find many articles you can print out to use when you tell the school you expect an alternative for your child. It is based in a religion whether they like it or not. Stretching is one thing, but actual play and exercise can not be beat for kids.

The problem is, we didnt evolve from anything, and evolution has been disproved more than proved. Read all the facts . . . . . Evolution does not draw any support from scripture and scripture has never been proven wrong. Evolution doesnt even use the same order of appearance that the creation happened in. Either evolution is a lie or the bible is a lie. I say that evolution is a lie. If you want to believe the lie, that is your choice. Let God always be true and every man a liar . . .

Why would atheists celebrate.............
...................the winter solstice, the shortest and darkest day of the year? Well maybe, it's because of the shortest expectation for the eternal salvation of their soul - none. I guess they want it over quickly. But alas, forever is forever, and they can't likely escape eternal damnation. We Christ_ians celebrate Christ_mass because it is the beginning of the new covenant in the blood of Christ, Christ paying our redemption from sin and to restore salvation to our souls. And to think, atheists turn their back on that simply because they are in love
with the things of the flesh.

I think it is interesting that you guys are trying to put the ball in believers courts all the time.

You have NO proof whatsoever that there is NO God, but you skip all your arguments and say it is up to only us.

Now you are saying that if our beliefs do not measure up to your ideas of "reasonable" then they should be disregarded. This is close to communism. If you could not make decisions based upon faith, then there would be nothing left for believers to do in public government.

Way to go guys, it is obvious that you are trying to silence us. It is not going to work.

Quote# 46053

[Getting kids to stay in shape is evil?]

I'd write a letter to the school board. If you don't want to, give me the address to that school board and I'll write it for you. Here's the definition for Yoga.

1. a school of Hindu philosophy advocating and prescribing a course of physical and mental disciplines for attaining liberation from the material world and union of the self with the Supreme Being or ultimate principle.
2. any of the methods or disciplines prescribed, esp. a series of postures and breathing exercises practiced to achieve control of the body and mind, tranquillity, etc.
3. union of the self with the Supreme Being or ultimate principle.

Something like this can open the door to allowing Christian practices back into the schools. Of course, the down side is that this would allow other religions to sneak their way into the school as well. Unless, of course, they worship peanut butter.

Anyway.. it only took one woman to get prayer out of school. Maybe it'll only take one to get it back into school. Or, at the least, get Yoga back out of school.
