For starters…A list of laws I would sign into law if I were POTUS for morality.

1. A Constitutional amendment for the protection of life, making abortion illegal in all 50 states.

2. A Constitutional amendment making marriage between One Man and One Woman for Life in all 50 states.

3. A Constitutional amendment for the re-constitution of Sodomy laws.

4. A Constitutional amendment banning the production of pornographic material and on the Internet.

5. A Constitutional amendment outlawing the teaching of sexual education in our schools.

6. A Constitutional amendment allowing prayer and Bible reading in our schools.

7. A Constitutional amendment that allows for the teaching of the account of Creation in school, and extra funding to research on that end.

8. A Constitutional amendment making the Death Penalty mandatory for the act of murder and rape in all 50 states.

9. A Constitutional amendment that allows Christians to promote Christianity in the public symbolically.

10. A Constitutional amendment banning taxes for the working to elderly/fixed income folk.

11. A Constitutional amendment that allows for the use of public property for Christian based events.

What would become of America after all that?

She would rise to be great and honorable, and other countries would respect and honor her!!

gays have the same rights as everyone else. you have the right to marry a female, thats not taken from you because you choose to be gay. there is no such thing as getting married to a guy here. just like you cannot get him pregnant, it just was not designed for two men, and was never intended for two men. why should we have to modify a tradition to fit your desire to marry?

[hm, atheistfanatic fighting for the cause of..nothing? I've yet to see an atheist extremist with some explosives strapped to his belt hijacking an airplane on the news]

Actually aethiests would be pretty vulnerable to extremism. Extremists have nothing to do with religion directly, they're mostly just people who feel that there's nothing in their lives worth living for and so they look for causes to attach themselves to. Aethiests, almost by definition, believe that nothing is worth living for (since a logical positivist viewpoint negates the idea of "worth"). Besides, I've seen a couple of aethiests who despise religion enough that they could be persuaded into commiting acts of violence.

EDIT: Actually now that I think about it that's a bit generalised. Most aethiests do have faith in quite a lot of things, even if they're not prepared to admit it. Still, most religious people aren't prepared to kill so I suppose it balances out.

Is French Kissing a Mortal Sin?

The reason I ask is that one of my ex-boyfriends found out that french kissing is a mortal sin at a chastity talk. He told me that we may not be able to kiss ever again if God didn't approve. At the time it was really hurtful and I wasn't sure how to deal with it. Eventually, after talking to our youth minister, he found out that it is only bad if that is all you are getting together to do.

They don't work, what about that seal that was like 13,000 years old and only died like a day before it was tested ?

All dating methods are based on assumptions, and unknown variables.

If the methods work so flawlessly.. why do they need to improve them?

Yes, but the catholics are also one of the biggest cults on earth, the Pope is an "anti-Christ" type of person. They are always trying to go mainstream. Accepting evolution (macro) is heresy for a Christian

I just read that women obtained 61% of the masters degrees in 2007.

Does anyone think this is a sign of the end days?

I do. I think it is a sign of love growing cold because these women are choosing not to get married or need a man or have children.

I think it is funny how they talk about this in the media as though it were perfectly alright.

Here is the article that got my attention.

A good looking woman has a lot of advantages that an average looking women does not have. So looks alone would increase her odds for survival. If evolution were true, I would expect the less attractive one’s to die off in favor of the attractive ones just like the change in structure of Darwin’s finches. But what do we see in every day life? Most people have just average looks.

[I]f you feel good about a potential suitor, go to your daughter and ask her if she is open to getting better acquainted with this fellow. If she says yes, get ready to do a lot of chaperoning. It is usually pretty boring. The younger kids love it though. It gives them a lot to talk about, and they make a game of not letting the couple get away with anything. They are omnipresent. It is like having 24-hour, closed circuit surveillance of the courting couple.

Re: Faith Vs Atheism by Adam Morris, p 5, Ontarion April 10, 2008

I was pleasantly surprised by the respect that Adam Morris shows in his letter towards those with whom he does not share the same point of view in the ongoing debate of creationism vs evolution. I would like to bring some points to the debate I hope readers will find interesting.

There is a lot of purely scientific material that while not proving a creationist view strongly questions or refutes the concept of Darwinian evolution. Sadly as in the days of Galileo anything that challenges the day's dogma gets dismissed. There is no surer way to get vilified or lose funding than to challenge evolution. And no need to mention God once.

I could list here dime and a dozen questions that have been never answered properly, including those two, one of which got me an earful from a respected evolutionist.

1) How could an animal reprogram its DNA to switch from gills to lungs with all that it entails knowing well that a gradual shift is impossible?

2) Who was T-rex's ancestor?

To terminate a current observation. With the extinction or near extinction of a specie today, be it animal or plant, scientists deplore the fact that along the subject so will its genetic information go the way of ... the dinosaurs. Information that might be pertinent to fight some disease or weather some climates. Hmm... If evolution, creation, no pun intended, of new genetic information, was true then would it matter less... To question is to progress.

Are you kidding? Adam named all the animals, and got married all in one day. Dog, kind, Horse kind, Sheep kind etc etc, there is only about 8000 different kinds of animals, it probably only took Adam like 2 hours to name them each. Plus Adam came pre-programmed from God he was probably the smartest man ever.

You guys don't believe in miracles, i know its hard for you.

How do you know? Did you ask Adam ? or Noah?

[About an autistic Boy who boy died during a faith healing at a Milwaukee church that the pastor said was meant to heal him of 'spirits']

The adults formed a circle around the boy and placed their hands lightly over him as they prayed for him, Hemphill said.

"[They] were just praying for him and asking God to deliver him from the spirit that he had," Hemphill said. "The little boy had spirits in him, and we was asking God to deliver him."

Hemphill said the prayers were in accordance with Matthew 12:43, which says, "When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it."

At the end of the prayers, one of the women noticed that Terrance was not breathing. One of the adults called 911, but when emergency services arrived around 11 p.m., the boy was dead, Hemphill said.

Milwaukee Police Capt. Linda Haynes said an autopsy was being conducted. Police are investigating whether the boy had been restrained or hurt in some way.

"We don't know of any kind of medical issues that he had that would have caused this death," Haynes told CNN. "His mother didn't say that he had any kind of medical issues. It's really odd for someone that young to just die."

(post titled "Atheism and Child Murder")

In my opening statement I showed the profound connection between Singer's Darwinian atheism and his advocacy of infanticide and euthanasia. Remarkably Singer responded by saying he didn't come to debate his bioethical views! Rather, he wanted the debate to focus exclusively on the question of whether God exists or not.

[I've seen many attempts to make Genesis fit with modern science - none of them work. The Genesis account, taken literally, are just bad science. -artybloke]

Now that's an absolutist statement to make with no proof. Modern sceince makes a lot of assumptions for example there's never been enough time to prove that the decay of Carbon isotopes is a proved time. It's all theroy. Just like the THEROY of Evolution. Anytime a definitive statement is made centering around billions and billions of years (Saganism) there's no proof just assumption.

So to make your statement you MUST put faith in the (religous) SCIENCE statements that foist truth onto us by means of extrapolation of what they do know. The story of sceince is ever changing and corrupted by the sinful nature of man. I for one can't and won't accept anything they say as being the gospel truth when it comes to matters of unprovability.

If mankind lived the way God tells us to live and if mankind would simply stop doing all the stupid things he/she does (pollution, making unnatural chemicals, eating unnatural foods etc). It would practically (if not completely) eliminate the need for science to find cures.

Mankind creates his own damn problems and then he/she wonders why we have so many diseases.

Ironic.

Makes you think.
