(Do you believe object can leave openings [for demons]?)

this is a really good question because I love windchimes and listening to them blow in the wind. That's all.. I just love to hear the music from them. But my husband says they are pagan and from pagan worship and I shouldn't have them hanging outside - I have liked windchimes since I was a little girl. Nothing sinister about the sound to me. Just pretty sounding.

i intended to burn all my witch books, but was having second thoughts. i didn't want them or anything, but they would have had a nice resale value. i could have used the money or even donated it... i could have gotten a few $100 for the amount i had and the subject matter...

(in-depth tarot, tantrics, palm reading, technical astro charting, phrenology, deep level dream interpretation, hypnosis, gong ye (or he?) fot choy, chants spells, dowsing, crystal casting, pendulum, candle-colors & herbal healing stuff, ju-ju, mojo and gris-gris talisman supplies, gobs of stuff and i know i've forgot some!)

i also didn't want the books to mislead anyone else either, but the money to pay bills or to be able to donate was awful tempting...

while i was mulling it over through a period of days, i had them in a big black lawn bag under a tarp in the driveway (yeah i know, we'd just moved into the new house and had unpacked them from the car not too gently) ... well, overnight, the wind blew the tarp off, the bag open and we got rain. the bag flooded and the books drowned.

(Also fits in RSTDT)
Obviously God made different races for a reason so why would He want one race to be the same as another? Yes, Adam was created in the likeness of God....the rest of us are all in the similtude of Adam. He made each race different and in order for that race to remain the way He created it then each race needs to stay within themselves.

I don't know about your church, but our church has all kinds of people - whites, blacks, hispanics.....American, Indian, Romanian, Polish, African, Guyanese, etc, etc...... We all go to the same church. We all sing praises to God together. We all hear preaching together. If THAT is not racial harmony then what is? When it comes to salvation we ARE all equal in the sight of God. ALL are sinners and must come to Him in repentance and faith.

As for the interracial dating - we have covered that somewhere here on the Board before - and it is wrong biblically. Please do a search to find that topic.

Americans! Don't you think that your government is using religion/atheism to keep you under control?
I mean you are brainwashed to believe atheism is true. You are brainwashed to believe that religion is the cause for all the bad things in the world. You are brainwashed to believe that the morals of Christianity that state 'no person is allowed to kill another person' are just lies. You are brainwashed to spend all your money on porn, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes in order for your government to build more and more weapons of mass destruction. You are brainwashed to think that religious fanaticism is the cause for terrorism. You are brainwashed to think that Osama Bin Laden is a real terrorist, not a fictional character(actor). You are brainwashed to think that you are the center of the universe. You are brainwashed not to think, just to obey the opinion of your government while some people get rich on your back.
I'm glad that I'm not an American.

Quote# 39158

My life really is not that great. I am a social reject and have been looked at as a fool all my life. I am unmarried and have no children. People think I am odd because I am 31 years old and still a virgin and even admit to it even though virginity is frowned upon this day and age. It's hard going to work in the morning knowing that I am unappreciated and laughed at. It's hard to live life knowing that I most likely I will never have a wife to love and cherish. I will never have a family of my own. People hate me and give me dirty looks like I am some unholy dirty thing.

But you know what. Jesus warned in the bible that it would be this way. No servant is greater then his master. They hated him, before they hated me. I don't understand all of the hardships I encounter, but I know he has a plan for it all. I would love to go and be with him right now and escape this mistreatment on Earth but it is not time yet. I try to cling on to this life I have right now so I can finish the race, Paul talked about in one of his letters to the church. I want to do my part as best as I can so I can hear my Lord say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." I pray for his will be done and not mine. I pray for inner peace and strength to face each day.

I need to go through all my books that are boxed in the attic and burn some of them...particularly the Anne Rice books. Toward the end of one of her series, I just got a bad feeling and stopped reading then packed the books up. I really don't want them around to mislead anyone else. As I think back on the writing, there seems to be a lot of new age stuff weaved into the themes of the book as well. Maybe they will help with heating the house next heating season.

Quote# 39157

Along with all the "birth pangs" Jesus lists in Matthew 24, are you finding that more and more people around you are being attacked spiritually and also physically in these last days?

Consider this....

In my family alone this past year, my grandma became mentally unstable and we were afraid she might literally kill my grandpa. My sister and her newborn have been having all sorts of problems since he was born, from thrush to reflux to colic and more. My aunt just found out last week that she has cancer. And now I got thrown a curve ball mself yesterday. I had the flu back in February and never fully bounced back, so I went and got a blood test, thinking I might be a little anemic. When I got the phone call, instead of being prescibed iron pills, I was told I have something called "smudge cells" which can be indicitive of Leukemia. They want me to have a bone marrow biopsy next week. I can't believe it! I'm only 29 and a mother of two young boys 3 and under! I shouldn't be getting tested to make sure I don't have cancer!

And at work, everybody is crabby and defensive and sometimes downright nasty, especially to me since I openly talk about my faith. Is the gas prices starting to get to everyone? Because this really seemed to rev up just in the last year.

I really feel that the Lord is coming back soon, but some days it just doesn't seem like soon enough. I hate the feeling of not knowing what is coming next or how long we might have left before Jesus comes back. I don't want to die before the rapture and leave my husband and young children behind. Lord help us all through these increasingly trying times, and give us the motivation to continue our witness through it all.

Quote# 39133

"Dubbed the Personhood Amendment, her proposal is simple in its succinctness: It states that the state constitution should be amended to define a person as including any human being from the moment of fertilization.

The implications of that statement, though, are certain to make Colorado a national battleground on the abortion issue - it could outlaw abortions and some birth control.

It's a battle Burton doesn't shy from.

"If I know what's going on and do nothing, that's not how I should live my life," she said last week, citing one of her favorite biblical verses. "I honestly feel that this is what God called me to do."

It's a calling she says she's had since she was 13.

It's also been what's guided her since an even earlier age when her mother, Debra Burton, would read inspirational stories to her and her two brothers as part of their education.

The stories were about taking on powerful institutions or standing up for what's right, stories about Martin Luther, who led the Protestant Reformation, and Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch Christian who helped Jews escape the Nazis during World War II."

Are Atheists Blind?

I have tried to debate with atheist on this forum, and I don't know if its me or not, but I find them very unreasonable.

They do not seem willing to consider even for a moment that God may be real.

They seem to have an attitude of arrogance about them. And I wonder, could some of them be evil, because sometimes they give me the shivers.

And then there are those that get me a tiny bit angry. Then I want to smite them.... which of course is wrong... I should turn the other cheek.

I'm beginning to think that some of the atheists that come looking for debate maybe under the influence of Satan.

Are these people blind to God's truth? because when it is put right under their noses, they just don't see it.

Quote# 39145

[with regards to reducing the world population down to 500 million, as RR seemingly thinks environmentalists want to do]

While thinking about all this I had sort of a sudden thought about how in Revelation the Bible tells us that a third of the earth's population will be wiped out in one of the "Bowl" judgments.

Stay with me here... Here's what I'm thinking...

In Egypt the Egyptians were worshipping all sorts of weird things, like Frogs, etc... and when the Lord brought the plagues on the land it was just those things - a plague of frongs, etc...

What if "Global Warming" becomes basically the religion of the Beast and God finally says "Ok - you want Global Warming - I'll give it to you" and boom - the sun becomes hotter than ever (This is also mentioned in Revelation), then, as if to give them their "Population utopia of 500 million people, mentioned in my posted article above, God then wipes out a third of mankind.

I can't figure out the math, but if there are roughly 6 billion people on the earth now and the Church gets Raptured (Maybe 1 billion?) then you subtract 1 third, maybe you will end up with approx. 500 million people, which is the number that people who hold to this view think is the best for the earth.

I may be way off - but I think God often works this way and I don't see Global Warming going away any time soon.

As a devoted Southern Baptist, and more importantly, as a disciple of Christ, I would rather kill my own child (as Abraham was willing to do) than see him convert to either Islam or Atheism.

Propaganda? I suppose any view that goes against one's own beliefs will always be considered propaganda.
But we need to be open-minded and look at all of the facts.
Just like the global warming alarmists. They ignore the reality and facts and go on their merry way believing what they want.
Evolution is evolving into a non-entity. There is no proof, just theory and conjecture.
The movie is not propaganda, but common sense. Darwin was wrong and everyone knows it. But to save face, let's bash the other side.
Politics, anyone?

My unsaved daughter died last year. I know she was unsaved because we tried to convert her when she was dying. My husband removed her oxygen mask hoping she would make a public confession of Christ, but she died cursing us. I often about the flames as the lap up against her face for eternity and how painful that must be. I hope when we get to heaven, we won't hear the screams from hell. Do you think about the same with your children?

Quote# 39032

I believe home schooling is by far the best way to educate children, and that is the way that our own children were educated, but within some home schooling circles today there is widespread neglect toward and misunderstanding of the New Testament church. For example, on my last preaching trip to Australia I met some godly families in one of the churches. The children play various musical instruments; they have a wide variety of interests and talents; they have serious goals in life; they are getting a wonderful education; they are separated from the wicked things of the world. There is nothing wrong with any of this, of course. It is a great blessing to see close and godly families in this wicked age. The problem is with the emphasis and balance. These families do not place the church and the Great Commission in a Scriptural priority. They attend services only once on Sunday, forsaking the other services for “family time,” in direct contradiction to Acts 2:42 and Hebrews 10:25. They brazenly neglected the special services that the church was hosting and thus gained no benefit from the visiting preacher/missionary. Their lives could have been changed and challenged by that preaching, but other things were more important to them.

Quote# 39120

It is very clear that those participating in sexual sins (which lead to pregnancy) and then a decision is made to have an abortion are committing murder. The murder of an innocent child then opens the parents to demon attacks of being murdered or having violence committed against them.

A couple that does not want a child should use birth control methods that prevent pregnancy. This is better than having an abortion of an unwanted child. Single parents should not deliberately have children outside of marriage. They are cursed and their descendents are cursed to the tenth generation.

After having an abortion, the woman is subject to having miscarriages or not being able to get pregnant again. She may have painful and prolonged bleeding, and pain during her menstrual cycles. She is subjected to many cruel emotions such as paranoia and insecurity.

Rape can lead to pregnancy. Do you have a right before God to kill the child because you were raped? Soul ties should be broken with any sexual partners outside of marriage whether by rape or by sexual consent.

The church is drastically affected by the bastard which is a child conceived out of wedlock. The bastards have great difficulty in going to church and participating in the church services. Those who have sexual demons may act religious in church to cover their guilt about their sexual sins.

I know it can be fun, being that Dawkinheads and Athiests think their the smartest people in the world, but this is all they've got. Don't take it away from them. They just can't stand the fact that they live in a country where upwards of 90% of the people believe that a supreme being (a God if you will) exists. This is why they are so bitter all the time.

You're absolutely correct though, they are proving Ben's point. You would think that we lived in a country where we could have the freedom to express different ideas. But not if you payed attention to these Fascists.
