The first movie I've willing gone to in thirty years. The volumn was way too loud. But seriously, academia is doing everything it can to wipe out Christianity, and without God's help they will be successful.

They have tainted the earth, they carry sins which they proclaim as being righteousness. They are cult aimed at making the weak sheep of society fall into acceptance. They must be stopped, or else God will stop them.

(Review of "Cloverfield")

Although I knew and expected that this was a worldly monster movie, I am still saddened by the complete lack of any refernce to God in this movie--aside from the misuse of our Lord's name. The characters never experienced any kind of repentence or questioning of their life or faith, which is still usually seen, if only in a watered-down, desperate way. I do not think this movie would be enjoyed by anybody with a Judeo-Christian worldview, as there is absolutely no reference to a Judeo-Christian worldview in this film.

Free will is associated with those who have no sin. But once a person has sin they are dominated by their physical bodies where there is no free will. Free will basically comes from those who have minds which don't have dominating sinful bodies.

Pastor Roger Byrd of Jonesville Church of God put the sign up which reads "Obama Osama humm are they brothers?"
Pastor Byrd says the sign is not meant to be racial or political but rather to make people think. "His name is so close to Osama I have a feeling he might be Islamic therefore he doesn't recognize Christ," Pastor Byrd said.

Quote# 38051

[regarding literal veracity of the bible]

In your own life, you will notice things are true:

1. Pride comes before the fall. (Proverbs 11:2) Example: People (usually young people) will say something like, "I'm so good at this" and then trip. It's true throughout life. If you are prideful/boastful, you will be humbled.
2. Children look like their parents. (created in the image of their father)
3. Children are created, they do not evolve from another creature.
4. What you say directs the course of your life. (Proverbs 18:21 & James 3:6)
5. The sun, moon, and stars have been set in motion and follow a particular path and mark seasons (Genesis 1)
6. How you treat others comes back on you, whether good or bad.
7. We have free will but with our choices comes blessings or curses based on the laws that God has established.
Example: choose homosexuality or promiscuity and you will receive the curse of an unwanted pregnancy, STD, death. Cheat and lie, and you will be cheated and lied to.
8. Children are under the authority of their parents. A parents ungodly behavior can put their child's life at risk.
9. Those who seek God and strive to follow His ways are under His protection.

All of this is true and you can see it just by living your life. There's more.

I know I struggle with this. I so desperately want for a man to seek God first and then for God to put me on that man's heart and for the man to pursue me without ANY help from me!

But I admit that it is SO HARD! I fail all the time ... miserably. I think part of it is about having faith that I will be taken care of no matter what.

Neither does the Catholic church exist in the Bible, it's an invention of man.

Note: I'm talking of the official Catholic religion headed by the Pope, not he universal or catholic church of Christ which includes all of the saved. It can be confusing since the official Catholic religion has "borrowed" the word catholic for their name while having no idea what the catholic church really is.

{more public school hatred}

Ladies and gentlemen, the truth is, our country is being destroyed by our young people. It is being destroyed by our young people because we have driven our boys and girls up to a beautiful building, let them off in the morning time, let them walk through some doors through which we have seldom ever walked, to be taught by people we do not know, from books we have not read, about subjects we do not agree with, but we do not want to find out what is going on. Behind those doors we hold sacred, where you let your child out Monday morning, Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning, Thursday morning, and Friday morning, all Hell is breaking loose, and our country is being destroyed while we deify that building where it is all going on.

Quote# 38114

A man is a wonderful thing. All that power, all that energy, all that intelligence. A man’s sexual instincts allows him to reproduce for the survival of his bloodline. Paired with an equally wonderful woman, wonderful offspring are produced.

But paired to a contraceptive woman and agreeing to her demands of contraception, he his demoted to a lowly snake slithering on the ground begging for sex. Phoooey. A man begging for sex is pathetic. Agreeing to contraceptive sex is pathetic. The contraceptive woman today is the most common type of woman. This is why society is dysfunctional. And this is no accident. Contraception is ingrained in today’s children, in the feminist manifestos, in marriage seminars. Some men get into marriage thinking it is open access to beautiful sex, instead submit to chains of contraception that enable a facade called monogamy.

There are many good men out there. Family oriented, family serving men. Most confronted with demands of contraception from women who demand monogamy. A few months later the contraceptive sexual activity gets old, stale and downright not worth it. It is not so different from aversion to sexual activity induced by infertility problems.
A man agreeing to contraception is not a man. He is a slave to his woman. He is a slave to his sexual desires. The 21st century are feminist times. Men have been castrated by contraception. Contraception is the core of the feminist religion.

Men can break the feminist stranglehold by swearing off all forms of contraception with his women. If she wants contraception, then let her be. Never beg. Never be enslaved. There are better women.

Mount Vernon City Schools announced Tuesday that it will launch an independent investigation into allegations made against an eighth-grade science teacher by parents.

According to a complaint, John Freshwater used an electrostatic device to burn crosses onto students’ arms. One of the students said that the pain was so severe that it prevented him from sleeping at night.
.................
"The cross-burning happened during an eighth-grade science class," Philemon said. "It happened with a science machine that uses an electric shock to cause a burn, and the teacher chose to burn a cross onto John Doe's forearm."

Philemon said parents complained to the district after the alleged incident in December 2007.

10TV News reported last week that Freshwater agreed to take down the Ten Commandments from the door of his classroom, along with posters containing Bible verses and Bibles on a shelf. However, he refused to remove a Bible from his desk.

The complaint charges that Freshwater used his classroom to advance religion in violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. In a recent class, it was charged that Freshwater taught the meaning of Good Friday and Easter.

“The allegations against Mr. Freshwater are very serious,” said Steve Short, the school superintendent. “This is not about his personal Bible on his desktop. It is about the totality of his conduct.”

According to the district, there were also allegations that Freshwater conducted prayers and engaged in a “healing session” as part of a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting.

It was salisbury steak I was having over there with his family. It's always that darn salisbury steak. In any event, she grew up to be a raging liberal. The moral of the story is if your 10 year old daughter annouces she is a vegatarian you better nip that in the bud damn quick before she becomes a total idiot. By the way there was a period of time she thought she was a lesbian too but that is another story.

To bad our nation isn't run in the same fashion as King David. If we went to war in Iraq, we'd slaughter the bunch of them, loot, and then leave. I'm leery about any new wars we might get into to knock a few heads around, because we might feel the need to "rebuild" afterwards; and rebuild under fire! At least during the reigns of kings, emperors, and tyrants when you conquered a place, you got to keep it as long as you could hold to it or take all the resources.

Do any fellow Christians find pleasure knowing atheist and other non-Christian heathens will burn in hell?

I hate to admit it, but when I see people insult the Lord I get a little satisfaction knowing they will be in Hell for eternity when they die. I know I shouldn't, but that is the justice of the Lord. He gave them life and they insult Him. I can't help but get a little joy knowing their punishment. Does anyone else feel this way?

Quote# 38074

President Bush just awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously to Michael Monsoor. The President (a devout Christian) cried openly as the account of the heroic Navy Seal's falling on a grenade to save his comrades, was read. It was Michael Monsoor's final act of bravery as he died from his wounds thirty minutes later.

If an atheist were the President, would he have cried? I believe President Bush was overcome with emotion because of his abiding faith and the tremendous weight of accountability he has, before God, as Commander-in-Chief.

A true atheist would surely have sat emotionless through such a ceremony. What's the point of getting all emotional about the untimely death of a higher form of mammal?

...The fact is, most atheists are not God-deniers, they are God-haters. And their world-view disqualifies them to lead a Christian nation.

Quote# 38145

My husband and I are very protective of our daughter, I admit that. Last night, she came to me and insisted she wanted to talk to me about our rules. A few she brought up:

1) She isn't allowed to lock the bathroom door. She can close it, and we knock before coming in, but it isn't safe to lock doors.
2) She isn't allowed to go over to her friends' houses. I am just not comfortable letting her go. Who knows who we live around? However, her friends are allowed coming over, and she can have one stay the night.
3) No boys are allowed. She is allowed to have male friends, but they aren't to be at the house, even when my husband and I are home. I know how teenage boys are.
4) She doesn't know her own password to her internet account. She's only to be online when my husband and I are at home, so we can keep watch over what she's doing.
5) She isn't allowed to watch/listen to movies or music unless we check it out beforehand. Even anything rated G. I no longer trust the MPAA.
6) We drive her to school, and we pick her up. She wishes to drive.
7) There is no door to her bedroom. She has a walk in closet, so she dresses in there.
8) No piercings, jewelry, or tattoos, of course! Also, no painted nails.

I don't get it. Why can't you let somebody air a Christian movie without spiting them? Let other people decide for themselves what they believe. This movie is far better than anything Michael Moore has released...those movies were absolutely overflowing with misinformation, propaganda, skewed facts, and outdated studies...same with Al Gore's movie. If you're going to be a critic, at least make some attempt to be fair. It goes without saying that far left liberals will want this movie pulled, they will want Ben Stein crucified, and then they'll want to burn his house to the ground...just like they do to anyone who disagrees with them. If you're out ragging on this movie when you rag on religion 24/7 anyways, your thoughts don't mean anything.

Neither Creation nor evolution are science, both are religions. We who believe God created the world just as He says He did in His book the Bible are creationist. Those who believe the theory out forward by some worm eaten corpse named darwin are evolutionist. Nether believe is based upon science as science is defined, both are based upon a religious belief.
As for me, I'll go with God's book after all, He was there at the beginning. And I admit that it is my religious convictions and absolute believe in the word of God that leads me to that conclusison. Why is it that evolutionist can not be as honest, for there is no science in evolution, just one changing theroy after an other, one misguide belief after another.

I saw this movie [Expelled] last night. I am amazed something this good actually made it to the screen. This hits the jugular vein of the academia crowd by mocking (outright mocking!) the only things they can hold on to: their intellect and their pride in being so sure they are "right".

It basically shows that Darwinism = Nazism in a very powerful way. The attacks on Ben Stein and this film will be non-stop. They have to be. If academia loses this fight, their funding will dry up, and they know it.

You are always hearing the term "must see". For this film, it's really, really true!
