Different cultures have Creation stories too. Like the aboriginal Dream Time.

And how evil entered the world through a woman. Like the story of Pandora's Box.

Noah's Flood compared to the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Many scholars argue that the biblical accounts are copied from these stories.

I'm not a scholar, but I believe God and I think those stories were copied from biblical accounts.

I saw yesterday 2 guys, holding their hands in a subway station and then in subway talking very loud and laughing, touching eachother in a very gayish style, all that made me sick! people were staring at them, it really was inappropriate! and then one child said something to his father and the father put his arm in front of his child's eyes ...that was terrible....no matter how selfish gays are, that scene was inappropriate!!!! ...and they couldn't stop laughing...didn't care about what that poor child has to see..

After the flood the atmosphere of the earth was dramatically changed . Before the Flood the earth's atmosphere had a "greenhouse" effect because of the canopy of water surrounding it. Three major things happened after the Flood: the canopy of water was gone, harmful rays of the sun entered the atmosphere, & man and animals began eating meat. Earth experienced many atmosphere and climate changes, and because of that many animal species - including dinosaurs - died and became extinct.

[Would you have scientists just stop trying and accept creationism? I'm just curious.]

No, I want the lies of Macro-Evolution out of the textbooks... Just to be fair since they have no evidence for such a belief. They could put evidence (fact) in the middle, then on the left have theory of a unknown designer, and on the right have theory of macro-evolution. Let the students interpret the evidence for themselves and stop telling them how to interpret the data. This is brainwashing when you try to erase the line between the fact and what you believe happened because the thought of a designer is "unthinkable". I am just asking for truth and equality. Admit that macro-evolution is a unprovable and unobservable theory and I will shut up.

Again you miss the point. It was many speeds, and any speed all at the same time, depends on our will, and need, and God's will. We were made to rule the universe with Him. He put us over this creation.
Look at the two witnesses in Rev 11, they have power, like Jesus has power over the earth, and sea, and rain, and etc!!! Jesus calmed the sea, for example. That is the sort of thing that man also was meant to do. We were truly robbed, and sold a horrible false bill of goods, by the enemy of our souls.

Like i said before, these secularist homophile coddling baby-killers are getting more and more demonic every day.

First contraception then abortion then homophilia, then in vitro, then ESCR , after that its making sperm from women and eggs from men, now this.

Its getting more and more demonic every day.

We're all getting a glimpse of what hell is really like.

We are now feverishly trying to simply plan for the burst of activity that is coming our way over the next couple of months. We are there! As it was mentioned in this past Sabbath’s sermon, the final countdown has begun, as the 1335 days before the actual day Jesus Christ returns began on February 2, 2008.

...

All that we are experiencing right now is a very small taste, just an ice cube on the tip of an iceberg of what is coming, as God begins to call thousands upon tens of thousands of people over the next year. From there it goes into the millions—all in preparation for the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of God’s Government over all the earth in the fall of 2011.

Quote# 34796

Science is based on the Bible, without objective truth as a basis for doing science, science is pointless. For example, without presupposing that man's reason is created by God and thus dependable, you can't do science. That's why Hindu lands aren't into science that much, b/c they don't have Christian foundations for thinking that man is rational, and his rationality is dependable.

Science depends on Biblical presuppositions. Get over it.

Quote# 34799

Yesterday, the first Friday of Lent, I saw my neighbors get home, and out of their minivan they had a few bags labeled 'KFC'. So, they went inside their home, and I saw the light come on in their dining room. The curtains were drawn, but I went into my driveway, then crossed into their driveway, so that I could peek through the gap in their curtains and i got a good view of what was going on. They were clearly chowing down on chicken, with all the fixings, though the chicken was what I was really concerned about, cause they had the youngins there eating too. I was really upset and didn't know what to do. They have a crucifix and statues like those people like to have in their living room, then the next room over they were chomping away on meat. I really don't know what to do at this point. Should I call a local archdioses or something and report them, or is there like a church board that investigates these things? I don't know what to do, and i've asked the good Lord for guidance, but I'm still not certain what He wants me to do. I was thinking when they're not home I should take the statues they have in their backyard and only give them back if they promise not to do it again, but I might get in trouble with the law so I don't know at this point. What would Jesus do?

I've come to the conclusion that there are mainly two types of so-called atheists.

On believes there is God but is just in so much denial that he is hardened to it and fights to keep convincing himself and everyone else that there is none.

The other certainly believes there is God but is simply lying about lack of belief to deceive on behalf of working for Satan.

So I take what they say about their atheism with a big grain of salt.

Space is water. Water has mass. Therefore space has mass. The so called mythical book, according to evolutionist, that we call the bible gave us the information needed to prove the theory of evolution, which was to come, was false. How is that for a prediction? God does know all things!

If scientists had the truth, then of course, they wouldn't need to gather more information, nor would they change their theories every decade. So scientists are in a search for the truth, which means they haven't found it yet.
But as I said, since we Christians have already found it, then we can move on to a deeper understanding of life instead of try to figure out how and why it was formed in the first place.

oh the list goes on and on!! I mean for one muhammad couldn't read, and 2 he wasn't free of sin! The reason he couldn't read is why he swayed to believe that nonsense..
And i don't believe muslims believe in satan.. Kind of ironic that they don't believe in he who started the whole craze... but then again if they knew satan was a liar, and a deciever then most of them would get a clue and realize what they believe is wrong..

i mean i only read the parts of the kor'an that my grandfather wanted me to see. My grandfather has been helping me with evangalism and understanding christianity better, and it helps to understand other religions so when you get in a heated debate you know what you're talking about.. But it just angers me so much to think that more than 1.3 billion people are muslim... It angers me even more that bush called Islam a peace teaching practice. It also angers me that bush suggested that israel surrender to the arabs. THE ARABS HATE ISRAEL, ARABS WANT TO DESTROY ISRAEL!!!!

Quote# 34803

Sorry, but reality backs up creation. The 7 day creation formed the foundation for the 7 day week. The sun gives light by day, the moon and stars give light by night and are used to mark the months, seasons and years. Each species breeds its own kind and man rules over the animals. Man also turns to dust when his body decays. So reality agrees with creationism on every point.

Science, on the other hand, does not agree with reality. Apes do not produce human descendants in reality nor does any wild beast. As for the age of the earth, it's no coincidence that the dating instruments that date anything before the flood go haywire. That's because since scientists dismiss the flood about which over 200 ancient cultures have written, it's impossible to date any object that's been affected by millions of gallons of water without understanding the affects that that much water has on any object. So their claims about an old earth are bogus because they can't be proven nor verified by any ancient peoples.

Quote# 34775

It is possible - and I think Walt Brown may have it right on this one - that Saturn's rings are from the Earth - believe it or not, I know it sounds crazy - let me explain. He says when the fountains of the deep broke open - Genesis Chapter 7 - the pressure of 10 or 15 miles of rock [...] the pressure 10 or 15 miles down is phenomenal [...] So if there was water in the crust of the Earth like the Bible says there was [...] then this water would come shooting up to the surface when the "fountains of the deep" broke open and the Earth busted up like an eggshell. That water shooting up would have enough pressure - according to Walt Brown - to eject things into space. They would drift around for awhile - who knows for a couple of hundred years - and run into something like Saturn and make the rings.

[picture of THE HORSEHEAD NEBULA]

Take a look at this picture. Aesthetically, it is beautiful; but epistemologically, it is a testimony to what sin can do. A nebula, the shell of a star that once housed an angel. An angel that chose to "leave his first estate" and come here to cohabit with the women. It now serves as a warning beacon to any other angel that may want to follow in their steps. Aesthetically beautiful, hamartologically ugly - ugly as sin.

[picture of THE GRAND CANYON]

Ditto.

I know that I'm setting myself up for ridicule here, but Obama fits the bill for that chaismatic world leader that will lead us into the apocolypse. He'll fool us with his charisma, bring us to a false sense of security and peace and then BAM! In his position of power he will lead us to destruction. I'm not saying I truely believe this will happen, only that he fits the bill.
