I think you mean evolutionism. You have to have faith to believe in evolution since this is a theory created by Charles Darwin who refused to believe in any God and so he developed the evolutionary theory with no scientific evidence whatsoever. Neanderthal turned out to be a hoax and there is no missing link. Creationism happens to be a very scientifically sound theory that has an explanation for everything. So it should be taught in any science class.

*gay marriage*

You don't see cohabitating couples living without a marriage certificate barging into churches saying don't call this sin. Funny, the ones that can marry don't, the ones that can't, want it. Ok, let a few of them get ordered to pay spousal support and they'll be wishing it had stayed banned. They'll drop it like a hot potato.

In my world religions class at scottsdale community college in AZ, even the textbooks admit that although some scientists believe that man was here hundreds of thousands of years to millions of years ago, the earliest evidence for man goes back only about 6 thousand years ago. Even this is just guessing or averaging the time frame. Also if man were here 3 million years ago like some scientists at Rutger's university say, then there would be trillions times trillions times trillions of people in the world not to mention an affinity amount of human fossil skeletons. We'd be walking on human bones every inch of the world, except that there would'nt be any where to walk because there'd be living people on every inch of the world too. As for the oldest civilizations, The Mexicans government knows that the Mayans oldest ancestors are The Toltec Indians. The Toltecs reported in thier writings that the world was only around 1700 years old before a world wide flood about 4,000 years ago. The exact dates they added up are only a seventeen year difference to the Hebrew calendar. For the exact dates see Hovind's seminars. As for the whale having feet or legs, you are referring to vestigial body parts. Dr. Hovind debunks this theory in one of his seminars. The whale actually needs those certain hip bones to produce baby whales. Scientists that teach this evolutionary theory about the whale are either ignorant about whale anatomy or lying. Watch Dr. Hovind's seminars and debate DVDs. People are finding out the truth. Now that science is "evolving" they are proving evolution wrong as well as the old age of the earth theory.

Horrible article for all the holes and misleading statements already covered. I never heard any "creation-based" teaching in my corn-fed Iowa education. By 17, I had decided that knowledge and understanding were genetic (because I knew a lot when I shouldn't have and didn't know why) and that education simply "unlocked" info I already had inside. School was boring because I took personal responsibility in my own understanding of things. I had also nearly destroyed my own life believing I was the only thing that mattered.

Science failed me socially. I failed me socially. I still believe evolution is a possibility and a component of things we (the human race) are not smart enough to understand.

Don't expect others to be responsible for your personal understanding of things. Read for yourself.

Three things to consider:

Big Bang - First described in Genesis
The Earth is Round - First mentioned in Isaiah 40:22. Made Columbus check it out.
The Universe has more stars that we can count - Hebrews 11:12

Modern Science has not figured everything out. Even Darwin knew that.

I can guarantee you one thing and that is that you are not teaching the Ten Commandments in the public school because the Ten Commandments are prohibited from being taught in the public school system. If you are not teaching the Ten Commandments then you are not teaching any morality at all since the Ten Commandments are the only type of morality.

THIS IS COMPLETE B.S

That never stopped other presidents from attending church. Apparently Obama's physical fitness is more important than his spiritual one. I see this guy is already off to a bad start as a role model. He had EVERYONE fooled. Power trumped everything else in his life - anything to be president. He's disgusting.

I will not read anything written by an athiest, or anything like the site that was posted making fun of Christians. I will read anything that is informative of current events, politics, etc, that is not slanted or biased either way. As a Christian I do read the Bible, of course, and lots of Christian reading material but I can also tell you what celebrity made a fool of themselves or discuss any current event. I don't live in a bubble, but I am definitely not OF this world.
I would be glad to read anything written by a former atheist, who now lives for God. But that's it. It's not that I think they are all "evil" or something, but as Christians we cannot participate in things that go specifically and directly against God. It hurts God, and it hurts and can hurt and confuse us.

My dear unbelieving friends, can you not just be realistic? There is no such thing as an atheist. An "atheist" is merely just an intelectually dishonest person."For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against the ungodliness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness" Romans 1:18. Do you really wake up in the morning, put your feet on the floor, look at the rising sun, and say "what a beautiful day time + random chance have given me today"? Really now, be honest.Even Voltaire said before he died, "God has forsaken me". Just like Voltaire, you know the truth. In your heart of hearts you can not deny reality. You suppress the truth in unrighteousness not because it is rational or logical to do so, but because you refuse to submit to the moral authority of your creator. Therfore, it is necessary for you to deny His existence with whatever "straw man" argument you can manage to fabricate. Nonetheless tomorrow morning He wil very likely give you another sunrise and an opportunity to rethink your position. His grace to you is indeed amazing. Will you repent and believe? Choose this day for tomorrow is not guaranteed. God be with you.

Quote# 53479

It is nearly impossible to find a teenage girl in our community who hasn't read Twilight. Now, I am finding 20 - 30 year old women engrossed. Every single one of them has been to the movie….

My 17 year old daughter found the movie embarrassing and ridiculous. She was mortified at all the girls screaming and swooning over the imaginary character, Edward.

I think part of what you point out, is that reading a book, allowing our minds to bring to life the printed word and personify it to fit each of us, is far more powerful and enduring than the quick visual images of a movie. Images that may not match how we imagined the book. My daughter's response was NOT characteristic of the other movie goers. They loved it. They are willing to accept any garbage as input. …

I asked one boy how many guys were in the theater? "Uhhh, do I include the flaming homosexuals?" "No." "One guy, me. And you should have seen the flamers screaming and carrying on over Edward, too!"

Bet you didn't see that one coming. I know I didn't.

I had not put together the sudden increase in teen girls giving blood. I'm sure the Red Cross doesn't care why, but I do. So many times while I was at Saddleback the rationale given for some stupid, expensive, non-biblical projects was, '...if one person gets saved, it was worth it." As I watched and learned, I saw many people not saved; they either turn away in disgust, were only there for whatever was free or fun, or worse, think they were saved but not given the full Gospel of Jesus Christ.

So, my hackles go up when I hear weak excuses for inexcusable behavior. All these actions lead to exactly what you pointed out - COMPROMISE. I call where we live, "The Valley of Compromise". Now, I have to say we live in a nation of compromise. From a world view, compromise is in fact the goal, at all times, with all people.

Perhaps your article will give some parents a clue about their teen's behavior (both girls seeking forbidden love and boys patterning themselves over babe magnet, Edward.
There was a Red Cross Blood Drive at our daughter's High School.

Who would have thought there would be a revived Romantic/Horror Genre? I now believe that many 'daughters of man' could actually succumb to the desires of demons. How tragic that many choose to remain ignorant and actively pursue darkness and evil. Have you noticed how emboldened and belligerent the Homosexuals have become?

On the November 6 broadcast of The War Room with Quinn & Rose, co-host Jim Quinn said: "The only thing that -- the only thing that gay marriage produce -- well, gay marriage doesn't produce anything that the state has an interest in. Gay sex produces AIDS, which the state doesn't have -- or should have an interest in. They should charge homosexuals more for their -- for their health insurance than they charge the rest of us." Quinn made the comment while discussing the passage of a California ballot initiative to amend the state constitution to ban same-sex marriage.

[This is in reaction to Florida overturning it's ban on gay couples adopting children.]

John Stemberger, chairman of a successful drive earlier this month to pass a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage in Florida, called the ruling "classic judicial activism" and predicted it would be reversed on appeal.

"Everywhere in the law where children are affected, the standard must always be what is in the best interest of the child," said Stemberger, an attorney in Orlando. "What is stunning to me is that when it comes to dealing with gays, that standard goes out the window. Children do better with a mother and a father."
