Well if you are not an atheist then you should agree that logical and analytical thinking dictate that there is a Supreme Intelligence governing the universe.

[Your original argument was a tautology. You claim that atheists don't think logically when they reject premise X, then you present their rejection of premise X as evidence for your claim that they lack logical thought.]

I accept God and Christianity because I utilized logical and analytical thinking to ascertain that God and Christianity are totally logical to believe in.

There is a double standard here on these boards and I cannot believe it. You guys cry “foul” when Christian parents send their OWN children to bible camps, but when other “indoctrinate” their children with atheistic ideas you say it is fine. You guys cry out, “let the children make up their own minds” when it come to homosexuality camps, and then turn right around and condemn parent when the take their kids to church. Here is the case in point.

[I was raised to believe, 'there's no such thing as god, that's a load of bull crap, there's no heaven and no hell and you die and that's it'. Cool. Got on with my merry little childhood. ...]

Then, there a thunderous applause from the atheists in approval. Where is the out cry that this is indoctrination? Where is the out cry to “let the kid make up his own mind”? There is none. Just applause and approval. Then later he writes this…..

[Fast forward to the present. I am now highly aware of and passionate about the effects of forcing religion on young children, teenagers, or in fact anyone who is not interested. ...]

But were his parent’s not forcing their atheist beliefs on this kid when they say there is no god? I remind you he state, “I was raised to believe” NOT after much reflection on the subject I have become and atheist! Where is the out cry? Silence from the atheist, because it reflects their own desires. Double standard!!!!

[I took home the catholic workbook, with no idea of what it was even about. My parents hit the roof! (This was in the 70's) I was pulled out of that scripture quick smart, and when everyone else went to scripture, I would go to the principal's office and read. I was already good at reading, and with this extra practice, I just got better. Win/win, I'd say. ...]

The father pulled the kid outta a class at the CATHOLIC school that HE sent him to? If I posted the same thing and said I pulled my kid outta science class out the public school that I sent him to during the time they were teaching evolution, there would be a huge uproar. You guys would say that I’m limiting my child’s education or I’m an extremist or something along those lines. But, when the shoe is on the other foot, well…..it is okay by the atheist.

Let me be clear, here: I am not saying that Christian men should rebel against authority when, contrary to God’s Creation order, it is exercised by woman. If a female police officer pulls me over and tickets me, I’ll respect and submit to her, not because she has a gun and a radio, but because she has been placed over me by God, bearing the sword in His behalf.

Still, I will recognize that her authority is contrary to God’s creation order in the matter of sexuality, and it will grieve me causing me, like Lot, to gnash my teeth. And this is how every biblical Christian should view the exercise of authority by woman over man no matter where it occurs. As the Holy Spirit said, woman is not to teach or exercise authority over man because Adam was created first, and then Eve.

Brits are cowards, generally. They feel a lot of collective guilt for centuries of imperialism- brought by war against non-European countries like Iran.

America never fought other countries to create colonies and exploit people and resources- so we have no problem going to another country and attacking them. They blame themselves for the situation those nations are in.

I've heard rumors that both the Messianic candidate from Joseph and the Messianic candidate from King David are alive and running around Israel. They are not revealed to the masses yet, as they are not in positions to actually do the Messiah's work - yet.

But they are alive and well, and ready for work.

I hear that they are only 25, so they have a lot to learn. When they are ready, I'm ready to see them in operation.

Sen. Inhofe Compares People Who Believe In Global Warming To ‘The Third Reich’
Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) is the nation’s most prominent global warming denier. He famously declared that global warming is “the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.” Now, he’s taken the argument a step further. In an interview with Tulsa World, Inhofe compared people who believed global warming was a problem to Nazis:

This is the first I have posted on FAGGOTS, but let me tell you how I feel about them and why:

When I was about 14 years old there were soda joints in the town I grew up in. I was in one of the booths with a friend when a well known faggot in his twenties came in and sat down next to me. He was quite a bit bigger than I am so there was no escape. He put his arm around me and moved closer. I told him to leave me alone a couple of times but started pawing me and told me to try it, I'd like it. Luckily, there was a pretty good sized fellow, sort of a motor cycle type, came over and told the faggot to get the Hell up and leave me alone. He got up and left. I don't think I ever did adequately thank the fellow who rescued me from the situation.

When I think about what faggots do, it disgusts me. Sure I give them the right to do their disgusting acts in the privacy of their own homes, but when they start hitting on young teenagers, it is time to put a stop to their actions. God or nature or whatever you believe created us as two sexes and those who have sexual feelings towards members of their own sex are unnatural (Queer.) When I served in the military they were banned and that's the wway it should have remained. Women shouldn't be allowed in combat roles either. I'll say this about faggots who molest teenage boys. No punishmnet is great enough. Faggots, stay away from me!

[...] A creationist scientist is bound by religious conviction to be honest with himself and others about the evidences of science. For a creationist scientist, lying about or intentionally misrepresenting evidence for or against evolution would be a serious sin. However, there is no such safeguard for evolutionist scientists. Without religious conviction, they are left with only intellectual conviction, which the world demonstrates is often weak when passions come into play.

[...] We have seen a number of haxes generated by non-believer evolutionists. There has not been to my knowledge a hoax generated by a creationist scientist.

[Alleged beating of elderly homosexual man proven false.]

Dr. Donald E. Wildmon, founder and chairman of the American Family Association (AFA), says he does not expect any retraction of accusations by homosexual activists -- but he does expect them to continue their push for "hate crimes" legislation, regardless of the facts. He recalls similar reaction to a highly publicized incident in October 1998.

"This really calls to mind the incident in Wyoming a few years ago [when] a young man named Matthew Shepherd supposedly ... was beaten because he was a homosexual," says Wildmon. "The truth later came out that the people who beat him to death did not even know he was a homosexual; they were robbing him."

An incident such as the Shepherd case, says the AFA founder, "gets big play early on" -- but despite later findings, "it's planted in the minds of people who don't hear the truth."

Law enforcement authorities in Detroit say they now consider the Anthos case closed. But at least one Detroit-area homosexual advocacy group, the Triangle Foundation, is hopeful the police will take into account the testimony of Anthos and continue to pursue the case, despite the physical evidence casting doubt on his claims.

Conservative and Christian leaders have argued for years that, if "hate crimes" legislation became law, it could become illegal for pastors to preach from the Bible regarding homosexuality.

Quote# 22666

I know, and believe me, I completely understand what you're saying. Unfortuantely, that doesn't stop them. We have to think about how to stop them from destroying all our rights as Christians. Just pointing out that it's a private school will never stop them so we're wasting our breath. You're right, of course, but they are bent on social revolution, and will keep right on going until they get more support to pass their hate crimes laws. Once it's THE LAW, we lose all our rights to preach & teach Christianity freely.

It makes all the sense in the world to them because they feel this is a civil rights issue, and they want to stamp out what they view as bigotry. Everywhere we run, everywhere our kids take cover, they follow, because they want our KIDS. It's about recruitment and force. They want to take down the entire moral landscape.

Most people don't even know this is happening. Is it on the news? Most people have their kids in public schools, do they care about Christian schools or homeschoolers? I think they just view us as stuck up, old-fashioned and ignorant. Apathy will cover this up until it turns extreme, and by then, we will look like the ones at fault to the general public. We are annoying to the avarage person living in the world, thinking all is well. More & more people are going to cheer to bring the Christians down off all moral ground.

If all we do is say that it's a private school, they can happily continue to advance. What do they care? Private, public, they just want to stamp us out. They want hate laws to make it illegal for anyone to say what the Bible says. They want to take our rights away, and they are succeeding. Look at the judges, the politicians, the media, the ACLU, and how the attacks come on some many levels and on different fronts. The average person on the street thinks we are religious nuts for believeing the Bible! We're facing a social revolution.

Many Christians are just trying to peacefully go their own way, privately hanging on to their faith (while others have compromised it). Either way, we've given up a lot of ground. These radicals are not content to live & let live. It's about gaining total control over the next generation so they can have absolute power. We better figure out a strong response while we still have a voice

How many herein have been told by intellectual yet spiritually dim witted professors, that “no science minded person could ever believe what scripture states concerning Jesus Christ”? How many atheist and, agnostics, other skeptics, scoffers and doubters alike have opened their eyes to the fact that the media is biased, politically and otherwise? How many atheists, agnostics, other skeptics, scoffers and doubters have taken the time to do some serious research since they originally made up their mind not to believe?
Don’t those who rely so heavily on man’s finite wisdom and understanding realize that that understanding evolves?
[...]

No, the Christian cannot currently prove to the nonbeliever that God exists, no more than a person can prove the beauty of a sunset, or a rainbow to a blind person. One can personally enjoy that beauty though. They can also bask in the warmth and beauty with another who sees. Does the blind person deny that beauty and warmth? Though they can feel the warmth, do they deny the existence of the beauty?

God exists becasue I say he does

(1) the senese of the relaity of God is unqiue and intautve. if you don't have it you just dont' have it. But the verfication of it is the working out of sueprnatural effects in the life of the believer.

(2) God is the Transendental signfiider, there will always have to be a thing at the top of the metaphysical hierarchy and that thing is God.

the atheist is stuck, there cannot not be a God, and that is borne out by the reilgius a prori in the live of the believer.

Homosexuality is totally illogical and totally evil because God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. And the New Testament clearly states that homosexuals shall not inherit the Kingdom Of God. There is a case going through the federal courts about a high school student who was barred from wearing a tee-shirt expressing his religious point of view on homosexual behavior at school. The interesting thing here is that this happened the day after other students were allowed to wear t-shirts supporting homosexual behavior.

I keep seeing Christians called bigots on this board for expressing our Christian viewpoint, but where is all this righteous indignation when we are the ones being discriminated against. Isn’t it amazing how some people only complain against bigoted discrimination when they want to have there own way, but when an obvious case of unreasonable discrimination comes along not one word is said word is said by the same people and groups.

Coadie : The European union wants to make homophobia illegal. That has to bring in the thought police.

How can they measure someones thoughts or fears about something they oppose? What if they strongly oppose homosexuality and have zero fears?

Is there a meter to detect phobia? Gays have rights. Those are easier to detect violation. If a gay wants to casually toss a label on someone as being homophobic, they are guilty by accusasation? In civil cases there must be damage. That will be hard to prove.

Richard Lamb : I wonder will the same bill include hetero-phobia provisions.

Christdependent : The real issue behind this push for societal acceptance of homosexuality is the intention to silence anyone who says it is wrong. Control of the language is where all oppressive political regimes begin, and in light of the fact that Jesus is identified as the "living WORD," and Satan is the father of lies, no one should be surprised.

HELL does exists,it is a real place. CHRISTIANITY JUDISM,
HINDUISM,ZEN BUDDHISM and ISLAM all believe and teach ,there is a place called HELL.

GOD doesn't send anyone to HELL.People make their conscience choices, through the freedom of their wills.
John Couey has been convicted of kidnapping, child molestation and murdering;burying alive his victum JESSICA.
On the various links surrounding this case, everyone was calling for the death penalty and freely talked about the pains in HELL he would recieve.
I have heard of the Harry Potter books;but have no intention of reading them.

People have the freedom to deny the very existence of HELL,as they so please.
As for myself, YES I DO BELIEVE THERE IS SUCH A PLACE.

Quote# 22680

How did the universe come into existence? What is the origin of life? Did man evolve from animals? For decades, science has tried to answer these questions by using the theory of evolution. Now, as science continues to probe deeper into the mysteries of life and the universe and pushes back the horizon of the unknown, more and more scientists are coming to agree with the position that the Bible has declared for thousands of years - that there is a transcendant Creator who designed and formed the universe with intelligence and purpose, and that man is the culmination and crowning work of that creative act. The idea that random processes resulted in the multi-myriad complexities of life, even over billions of years, is simply far inadequate as an explanation. New discoveries are confirming this all the time. Biblical ideas that scoffing scientists once dismissed as foolishness are being re-examined.

18 year old crashes minivan into utility pole and dies. The 18 year was drinking and driving and had taken his mother's minivan without her permission.
Choices he made.
1. Took minivan without mother's permission.=theft.
2. Drinking and driving He knew that drinking and driving was wrong= reckless behavior.
Utility pole was damaged= power outage ???? unclear
Police notified his mother of the accident and death.Thankfully no one else was involved.
Now this woman will have to bury her son and hopfully the damage to the minivan can be repaired

This 18 year old made choices to disobey GOD's Will. One theft of a car;and choiceing to drink while driving.
These were his last acts of conscience behavior.
When a person makes a deliberate choice to disobey GOD and dies,in the act of disobedience, they go straight to hell.
