I was thinking about Mitt Romney being elected and then we would have a Mormon leader. I was wondering which direction would be worse and whether we would have a Mormon or a Muslim.

I was wondering about the false prophet since the United States isn't in scripture. Would God ordain a Christian as the higher power (Romans 13) if we were going to be raptured? Wouldn't either one of them being elected give meaning to the term "false prophet" because they might need a power base to falsely prophesy from and how many homes are you televised into when you are elected? If they were elected, they would spread their faith which is what a false prophet does and hence the new meaning I got whether it is theory or not.

I must point out that my evolutionist friend was stating that evolution disproved Genesis, hence is Genesis is disproved then the rest of the Bible is also.

I steered the debate from Genesis into the other 65 books. He was found wanting, and started that debate by denying Jesus ever existed... etc.

In a sense, how the creation has come about is not actually that interesting to me, though it makes me chuckle when people say things are scientific facts. But to suggest we have evolved from apes seems absurd.

The reason atheims is considered polytheism in the eyes of God is because you are taking His attributes and applying it to creation. For example: Choosing to believe in an Infiite or Eternal Universe (Eternal and Infinite are attributes of God). So in religion, atheism is a form of polytheism whether you agree or not. It is irrelevant if you choose to believe in a deity or not, but rather its in the actions. Its not about logic, its about reality. And we all know logic doesn't always coincide with reality. Hell it breaks down on the subatomic level. If you deny God, you have no choice, but to ascribe divine attributes to creation in order to justify that disbelief in a Creator. You can define atheism however you want, but in the end people will define it their own way according to its actions.
