[do you defend Young Earth or Old Earth Creationism?]

I believe the Bible, I believe in "young" Earth creationism because that model matches the evidence-- as you would know if you actually read the columns at that website instead of bothering ME every five minutes to heroically defend your worldview.

"Young" Earth. How muddle brained do you have to be to view thousands upon thousands of years as "young"....

If God ceaced to exist, the universe would be random with no supreme being making sure everything is running smoothly. That means we'd probably crash into one of the hundreds of galaxies that the Milky Way is clustered with at any second, especially given in unfathomable magnitude of the gravity of just one galaxy.

Chaos would reign. We'd be dead. That's how our lives would change.

Yeah, exactly. We can set aside fenced off areas for each and every weirdo group in the society ....the cocksuckers area, the breastfeeding area, the fuckers area, the pot smokers area, the heroin freaks area, the booze hound area, the murderers gathering place, the rapists groups, the pedophile group, ........., and any and all such groups ..we just set aside those areas and anyone who wants to do or see the fun can just join right in.

After all, a society should be forced to accept any and all people, with any and all weird and strange ideals and habits, right?

Pierre Curie, there was a television special on him, as well as his wife, Marie Curie.

Pierre was walking out the laboratory building, and stepped into the street. Unfortunately, his mind was still in the lab, and he stepped in front of a horse carriage. The accident crushed his skull and Pierre Curie died from it.

Scientist, Nobel Prize winner in science. Forgot to check for the horse drawn carriage that blindsided him. So simple, yet he overlooked it. What else are our scientists missing?

This book has really changed our family and although at first it seems cruel because we are in a society that has strayed so far from the truth that the truth actually seems wrong. But pray and read the scriptures along with this book and the Holy Spirit will reveal the truth if you truly seek it.

I have not found a scripture to support (or not support) the appropriate age at which to spank your children. So I recommend starting at the age that you feel God wants you too. I could never spank my 4 month old but at about 8 months it seems to begin to be helpful but I always did it very lightly on the hand not the thigh or leg.

Quote# 30614

I can remember back when RFID chips were first being developed. My wife and I were discussing just how seductive the technology would be to the masses. First, by putting the chip in the hand one could just stand near a point-of-sale device to be identified (no hassle with wallets or purses.) Next, for those that don't have natural limbs, you could put the chip in the head and get the same effect. Finally, by having this as a positive proof of ID, one could just link in as if it were a credit card scanner, dial out, and do an update straight to the bank. The only thing was the fear that someone could chop off a hand (or head) and use the body part on it's own. So, we figured you would need to derive a signal from something like a pulse or nerve firing to verify the person was still valid. But, if these things were accomplished, you could use the chip for everything from smart soft drink machines to a personal key for cell phones to unlocking and starting cars to turning off the safety on a person's gun. Anybody that didn't see the possible tie-in to the MotB would jump at something that easy to use.

I still get as sick to my stomach thinging about it today as I did way back then.

People will flock to this nightmare tech. I doubt that they will even pay the smallest bit of heed to us "crazy Christians."

From Copernicanism Through Big Bangism
Modern Cosmology’s Model Of The Universe
Is Built Solely On ASSUMPTIONS
1) It must be assumed that the Sun is stationary in the "solar" system relevant to the Earth (and to the Moon) and that it has never traveled East to West daily across the sky as observed by everyone on Earth throughout all history.
2) Likewise, it must be assumed that the Earth rotates West to East ccw (counterclockwise) on an "axis" every 24 hours at an equatorial speed of c. 1040 MPH in spite of there being nothing but mathematical evidence for this motion whatsoever.
3) It must be assumed that the Earth is also orbiting the Sun annually (ccw) at an average speed of c. 67,000 MPH.
4) It must be assumed that the Earth’s axial alleged tilt of 23.5 degrees--in combination with its assumed annual orbit around the sun--is the only available scientific explanation for the seasons.
5) The Earth’s atmosphere must be assumed to be just an airy, fixed extension of the alleged rotating Earth. It is assumed and must be assumed that this atmosphere must have the remarkable ability to synchronize speeds of objects in it at all altitudes--birds, clouds, jets, low orbit satellites, alleged geo-synchronous satellites over 22,000 miles out--and to be unaffected by alleged Earth movements of speeds ranging from 1000 MPH to 67,000 MPH to 500,000 MPH to 660,000,000 MPH. This assumption is mandatory once the rotating Earth assumption is made and can not be ignored in the helio model of the eclipse phenomena.
6) A particularly fantastic assumption necessary to accommodating the precise Solar Eclipse Phenomena in the Helio Model involves the bold reversal of the Moon’s observed direction of travel. Acceptance of this occult slight of hand from the Arcane Math Department of Mystic U. has no basis in reality, of course. Rather, it must be coupled with prior acceptance of the other assumptions of a rotating Earth orbiting a stationary Sun. No moon reversal means no accurate eclipse forecasts and no accurate eclipse forecasts means no heliocentricity model.
7) It must be assumed that the Stars do not move around the Earth diurnally as observed by everyone who has ever lived.

Avoid -- I can't believe that christians have not viewed this show as a more serious threat. Christian faith and values are constantly a viciously targeted at every turn. The show is filthy and subversive. It only gets away with it because it's a cartoon and knows how to occasionally act as if its mocking tone is playful. Anyone who believes otherwise needs to see such episodes where Homer has a crayon removed from his brain thus rendering him a genius. One of his many revelations that follows is his proving the God does not exist. He presents this finding to Ned Flanders and Ned has to agree that he is correct! This is not playful on any level. Avoid the Simpsons at all costs.

Before any woman seeks to be a leader over Men in a Church I would have her examine her motives. Is she doing it because she feels that she is as good and maybe even better than a man? OR is she being humble, desiring to serve God in full obedience to His Word?

God has establised a Divine order on Earth. It is clear about who has been given Authority. Husband over Wife, Men over the Church, Parents over Children, Masters over Slaves, Government leaders over Citizens. Sadly in not all those who are in leadership roles are performing them to perfection, but neither are those who should be in submission performing theirs perfectly either.

We should be praying for our men and encourage them. We should want them to grow and mature in the Word of God so that they can perform the roles God has assigned for them. When each person is performing their role as the Bible outlines them, then we can have blessing in our Families, Communities, Nations and Churches.

Quote# 30623

Wives ARE to submit to their husbands and be obedient them. Husbands are put in authority over their wives. In turn, the husband is to love the wife as Christ loves the Church. Of course husbands are not perfect and have their own flaws. A wife is supposed to be his help-meet, though and offer her own counsel in daily situations. It is not the wife's place to be the spiritual leader of the home, nor should the responsibility of providing for the household fall on her shoulders. Her congregation is her children and her pulpit the kitchen table. She should focus her preaching to the children, not her husband. All the time spent controlling him would be much better spent in prayer. I don't understand why so many women want to be so free of authority in their lives. If you have a problem with obeying your husband, than it's possible that your real beef is with God, since that is the way He designed it all to begin with.

Teh only government God has ever specificly approved is a theocracy. People, including christians, can get mad at me for saying this, but actually in ancient Israel they were supposed to do just what second eve asked about: Deport or even execute unbelievers, particularly homosexuals, idolators, occultists(of all forms), and even harlots. Fact is, that is going to be the eternal punishement on judgment day too: eternal death, i.e. "exile" from the presense of God and from his new heaven and new earth. If people had actually obeyed and enforced the law of God in the physical, temporal world, it might be that a lot less people would be spending eternity in the lake of fire...

yes, I am a promoter of a Christian Theocracy, praise Jesus. Here and now if possible, but I will praise him when he comes back personally too. Throw away the Bill of Rights and lets have the ten commandments and the Beattitudes instead. Throw away the pledge of allegiance to the flag of america, and lets all pledge allegiance to the Lamb!

I suppose many of you may have seen the ads on tv where the checkout lines in some store are all moving along at a fast pace. All of a sudden one customer pulls out cash or a checkbook, and everything falls apart. Ah, they need the plastic card, then everything starts moving again!

I know that credit cards and bank cards are nothing new. But one thing I noticed, is that sometimes the cards aren't even "swiped," just held up to the "machine" or whatever it is. It seems like methods of paying are getting quicker and quicker, faster and faster. I can't watch these commercials anymore without thinking "fast track towards the mark of the beast."

I know other countries are much worse off, as far as persecution. But I think many of the people in those countries feel bad for us, because our culture is so permeated with evil--sex, sin, power, filthy riches, etc. I know that a lot of their underground churches are much more blessed than we are. (I think a lot of you know what I mean.) I am grateful for our blessings, but I think going home would be the greatest blessing of all.
