People are not born gay. They are born attracted to the opposite sex. The 3 most common reasons for same sex attraction are:

1. A molestation by someone of the same gender
2. Inability to control sexual desires in heterosexuality
3. Being told one is gay

In most cases, homosexuality comes from molestation. It's a sad truth. You can't pick your family, you can't pick when you're born, but you can pick your sexuality.

[Gay Mariage should be legal. Im not gay I know being it is against God But thats ME.]

Ok seriously, if everyone had your type of mindset, this would be one screwed up nation. If we should tolerate gay marriage, why not tolerate guys marrying dogs. Why not tolerate murderers and rapists. Why not tolerate serial killers. I mean seriously, when are we going TO START STANDING UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT! Come on guys.

[ok your comparing having two people marrying to people marry animals and murders and rapist. what the hell is wrong with you?]

marriage is defined as one man one woman, if u allow one thing outside of that, why not allow another?

You can't sell your soul. It isn't yours to sell. However, you can abrogate your right to free will. Those who accept the mark are the hopeless and deluded who believe that service to Satan will bring them some reward. Other than the mark left on the forehead, it mark has one very notable side effect. The person's eyes turn totally white and are completely devoid of obvious pigmentation. There are some who will elevate these sad people in their esteem and will see them not for what they are. Many others will see them accurately.

It seems that the more that women decrease their clothing the more the sexual assaults increase, right or wrong? This is fact you can see it for yourself on the statistics. Since this so called sex explosion started in the 60s and when women wore less and less clothing the sexual assault crimes have indeed increased. See for yourself.

Quote# 16472

[Are you saying that civil government, in a secular society, should have the authority to enforce specific theological doctrines? Would there be equally nothing wrong with a Muslim saying that everyone should be forced to live as a Muslim?]

In Saudi Arabia and Iran, everybody is required to live as a Muslim. I see no reason why we shouldn't do the same thing in America, which is a Christian nation established by Christians, for Christians. As a Christian nation, we can (and should) require everybody to live as a Christian -- or at least offer a higher class of citizenship to Christians. People who do not want to abide by established Christian beliefs and norms are free to live elsewhere.

[And there are some huge differences in what Christians believe, and how Christians live. So what kind of "Christian" should all the rest of us be forced to emulate? Should we be forced to live like the Quakers, or the Amish, or the Anglicans, or the Catholics, or the Mormons? How do you decide which kind of Christian is the "right" one?]

It should be self-evident to any Christian what a Christian is supposed to believe and how a Christian is supposed to live. As an atheist, you would not know this -- but it still does not relieve you of the responsibility of living like a Christian if you are going to CHOOSE to live in a Christian society.

This is an organization that is equally anti-American (although they certainly love the American DOLLAR). Those of you who are of voting age should make sure that you cast your vote, and you cast your vote for those who will represent Jesus and the Word of God!

They should be insulted. But I made it very clear this is a personal vendeda. But even if my reasons are personal, I have every reason to believe that we need to protect our young people from the abuse they receive from the public school system. Also we need to protect them from the Godless, atheistic nonsense that they teach in the public school system. Like the Godless theory of evolution, for example.

Quote# 16492

To end terrorism...

* Take the gloves off. We need to stop molly-coddling these people and their friends. Folks, for all practical purposes, we own Iraq. We need to act like it. Not only this, but we need to simply destroy the terrorists who stand against us. Recently, I saw a bumper sticker that said, "If a terrorist wants to die, it is my duty to help him accomplish his goal."
* Release Israel from the restrictions they are under. That's right, cut 'em loose and give them the key to the arms warehouse. I am absolutely sick of people saying we need to fight terrorism, and then telling Israel to calm down. I won't rant here. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif
* Follow the Brit's example. Locate the terrorists in our country, round them up and ... "But what about their rights..." some may whine. Forget their tights. They are using their rights to destroy us!
* Christians need to take a stand. The United States is a CHRISTIAN nation. We need to act like it.
* Close the UN. The United Nations is really a group of dictators, thugs and outright criminals whose goals consist of the exploitation and destruction of the United States of America.

Last, and most importantly...

* Evangelize, exhort and disciple the nation. That's right. We need to take our country back, and we need to actively defend our country, but the most important thing we need to do is evangelize and disciple the nations. If the United States chooses to use it, we have the military power to utterly destroy the terrorist nations, but God chan change their hearts.

Quote# 16444

Sex is a wonderful thing, a gift of God for man.
It is a very good activity, and rightly pleasurable, since its ultimate end is one of the most noble and beautiful ones man can achieve during his life: the conception of a new person.

Man is not a mere animal. For him sex is a lot more than just a mechanical means for reproduction. This is undeniably the natural goal of sex, but it is not the only one: we speak also of the unitive purpose of sex, which is the deepening of the relationship between the married couple to a new level; a manifestation and a strengthening of the bonds of love which unite them both. In this unitive purpose, pleasure is also included; by giving and receiving pleasure from each other, husband and wife lead a happier and more fulfilling existence.

The great error of modernity with regards to sex is to separate its purposes.
On the one hand, Puritanism sought to eliminate the unitive purpose, bringing sex down to the level of a mechanical duty.
On the other, liberals seek to eliminate reproduction.

When a couple uses contraception, they are effectively frustrating the natural purpose of sexuality. And that is always a sin!

They fool themselves, believing that the unitive purpose may be fully realized without the procreative one; but that is false. Sex becomes an increasingly selfish activity, in which each partner seeks only their own pleasure, and the other one becomes a mere means for the fulfilment of their own lust. This is exactly what is happening in today's world.

Man has abandoned the procreative purpose, and the unitive purpose is being lost as a consequence.

Yes, I am against all forms of contraception, that is, the use of means which seek to frustrate the procreative end of any particular sexual relation.

Candidate for the Sixth Court of Appeals, Ben Franks, is reported to be a professed atheist and apparently believes the Bible is a “collection of myths."

All elected or appointed officials in Texas must take the oath prescribed by Art. XVI, Section 1(a) of the Texas Constitution:

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of _____ of the State of Texas, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of this State, so help me God."

Should Franks be elected in November, one would have to conclude that he will hold true to his out of touch “atheist” belief system and ignore the laws and Constitution of Texas.

[Regarding Madonna's adoption.]

A woman who has sex outside of marriage and does not repent and change is immoral and a bad example. Ditto for a woman who degrades herself with her photos in obscene videos and books and does not repent and change. No court should inflict that kind of unfit parent upon a child. There are far too many wonderful, moral couples (one man and one woman) ready and willing and eager to adopt! And they will do no harm to their children.

God's curse rests upon those who contribute to the harm of children in my opinion. That includes politicians and judges who help make this harm possible. And God is not mocked. The Bible says that the mills of God grind slow but sure.

Quote# 16363

How many children did Abraham have,
one or two?
Genesis 22:2; Hebrews 11:17 and Galatians 4:22
1. One son
A. (Genesis 22:2) - "And He said, "Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you."
B. (Hebrews 11:17) - "By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac; and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son."
2. Two sons
. (Galatians 4:22) - "For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondwoman and one by the free woman."
The answer to this apparent contradiction is found in understanding the typological representation of Isaac, Abraham's second born son, as a type of Christ. Abraham had Ishmael by the handmaiden Hagar. But Isaac was the child of promise, not Ishmael: "But God said to Abraham, "Do not be distressed because of the lad and your maid; whatever Sarah tells you, listen to her, for through Isaac your descendants shall be named,'" (Gen. 21:12).
If you look at the chart below, you will see the similarities between Isaac and Jesus. In other words, Isaac was a prophetic representation of Jesus. This is why Jesus said, "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad," (John 8:56). Abraham had, in a very real sense, seen the gospel presentation in the offering of his son, his "only begotten." So, we see here that the term "only begotten" is in reference to the unique son of God and Isaac was acting out the sacrifice of Christ, prophetically.

[In a discussion about the "Dikika Baby," a newly-discovered hominid fossil]

It is amazing to me that there are those who keep trying to find the missing link in evelotion after so many failures and fakes. I find it much easier and realistic to believe in a divine creator. In the thousands of years that we have records of, there has never been one occurance of one species evolving into another higher species. There have been abnormalities connected to disruption of genes only. Having subscribed to NGM for less than a year, I'm getting tired of the evolution articles. I don's plan to renew. My mind doesn't need to be stretched to warp.
