Yes!!!! I am very tired of these demonic commercials!!!! It doesn't matter what we are watching on tv the commercials are getting more and more evil. Almost each commercial break we have to change the channel to avoid either demons, demonic video games or half naked ladies prancing around in underwear. It is really hard to raise kids when this is common practice. In our house, you will hear these phrases while we watch even the History Channel: "close your eyes!" or "hurry, turn the channel!"

Demons are real, btw, so that kinda thing is scary. It's not something to fool around with.

Evolutionist: I believe in the big bang and evolution. If God created the Earth in 6 days, then how come we can see stars 50 billion light years away and therefore events that happened 50 billion years ago?

Creationist (informed): According to evolutionist/big bang circles how old is the universe?

Evolutionist: 13 Billion years! Not 6 six days.

Creationist: So where did the other 37 billion years go?

.....The same logic also denys the big bang theory

[On the afterlife for non-believers]

Have you seen the movie star wars episode 5? Remember after Luke blew up the death star, and returns to the Rebel's temporary planet(name?). Anyway, remember at the end where he walks up to Princess Lela? Do you remember the music, the soldiers, and the FEELING. Do you(non-believer) believe that after you die, that you will walk up to a princess and receive an award? Do you think that the "walking carpet" and R2-D2 will be there? While you walk to get your reward, will you nod your head to the other non-belevers,while the Star Wars music is playing?

Many modern day evangelicals pit the historicity of the information contained in scripture against the symbolic/typological overtones and meanings in the text. But perhaps God, the Master Playwright, meant for it all to work together. Consider John chapter 21. We read that the disciples caught 153 large fish. 153 is the triangular of 17. 17 is 7 + 10, and has to do with the nations of the world, as there were 70 (70 x 10) in Genesis 10. In Acts 2 we find there are 17 nations present. So, yes 153 is a new covenant form of the 70 nations of the world. But, still, there really were 153 large fish caught.

The reason Darwin had to mention God in his book, was the mindset of that time. Like so many have alread admitted, and understand, Creation was the accepted thing at that time. And the biggest precent of the population were Christian. So to attack this, in the form that Darwin could have done, would have been sure death for his book, and his idea. Because every pulpit would have been preaching against it, and people would of had preconcieved ideas, even before reading the book. So God was mentioned because Darwin was not stupid to not do so.

all acts whether a building falls and crushes people or a enviromental disaster occurs are acts to have people repent. Yes God could have put His hand down and stopped the storm..He could have also stopped Adam and Eve from eating the fruit, but He gave us choices and He works with our choices, He is long suffering..very long suffering, but everything is done for His glory and our repentance so that we can have the gift of relationship with Him.

Sin, weather it be porn, the sex industry more generally or even drugs, Makes victims out of both the consumers, purveyors and producers. It's just they don't always notice that.

I'm quite comfortable with the notion of imposing tho shalt not kill on others. Were lot talking about you sing your services in Latin and us in Greek or anything like that. My primary objection to this is it's not really going to help, targeting those addicted to internet porn. It probably will be applied to stuff that it shouldn't. It probably will expand to cover stuff like terrorist web sites with beheadings on them. I have no objections to attempts to quash the porn industry in general though.

Quote# 7799

We Know God Exists because:
1. the universe could not always have been here, nor could it have made itself from nothing [...]
3. consciousness, that is, self-awareness is non-physical and could not arise from atoms and molecules [...]
5. the laws of physics cannot account for broad and extraordinary features of the solar system [...]
7. human behavior indicates the existence of the soul and spirit and the real existence of ideas indicate the existence of a non-physical reality
8. higher biological functions like sight, flight, and echo-location are so wildly and irreducibly complex they could not evolve in stages
9. apart from the existence of God, logic and reason have no foundation, and thus leading atheists deny the objective nature of the laws of logic
10. God has revealed Himself uniquely in the Bible and confirmed its claims through scientific statements, prophecies, and many other wonderful proofs that God became flesh in Jesus Christ, who was crucified by Pontius Pilate, and rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures, and that those who trust in Him will have everlasting life.

Cheers to the existance of God!

What say ye?

The fall of creation affected the entire universe. When it occurred everything began to decay and has since that time. Messiah came and redeemed the Spiritual, yet it has not fully been restored. The physical restoration is coming. When this occurs the creation will "spin" back up and regain it's perfect operation

[On the scientific studies of creationism, responding to 'they just drowned them to prove they were a witch']

You don't have to be a creationist to do that. You just have to be willing to trust in the judgements of man... I know of no creationist involved in either the burning or drowning of witches. Ironically, both the Catholic Church and and the Puritans did and both these groups today imbrace evolution to one degree or another. Creationists tend to be evangelical.

When I was a kid and bought the cellophane bag of multicolor plastic "dinosaurs", it seemed that there was everything in there. The scientists want to categorize everything, and that is fine: however, if I had one chasing me, I would not be trying to figure out specifics in Latin. It would be TERRIBLE whether flying or walking fast. Dinosaur just fits the group, besides they didn't get that name until more modern times. I'm sure that dragon would be just as descriptive.

No one says that the design had to be perfect or that even if it started out “perfect” that it had to remain that way. Some critics will point out what they perceive as faulty body parts, that a real intelligent designer would have designed something better. But in the real world we see design compromises all the time and we also see design mess ups. History is littered with intelligently designed things that didn’t work and/ or were dubbed “engineering blunders”. So what? That is why we use the term intelligent design.

No, I haven't been to the Southwest though I really want to see it, so you can disqualify my answer on that basis. It is, however, pictures of the formations of the Southwest that convince me the most of the Flood apart from the Bible. The stacked strata, so obviously rapidly formed by water, the fact that all the formations are shapes of stacked strata exposed by what looks like massive water erosion, and of course the incredibly copious fossil contents.

[Reply to Oprah's plea that the country apologize to Hurricane Katrina survivors]
I'm sorry you were too stupid to leave in the days leading up to the hurricane.

I'm sorry that you have become so reliant on the government to hold your hand in all ventures.

I'm sorry your mayor is a jackass.

I'm sorry your governor is a jackass.

I'm sorry you moved to or stayed in a city that was below sea-level, knowing that a hurricane could "fill the bowl".

I'm sorry that when the levees broke, you were too stupid to be already gone.

I'm sorry that you'll still be part of the gene pool when this is all over.

I'm sorry if you've already bred and made another generation of stupid, dependent people.

I'm sorry that Texas is now flooded with stupid people.

I'm sorry that you feel so much "owed" that you and your people decided it was "okay" to loot stores.

Feel better?
