Quote# 5849

To prove atheists are wrong once and for all... It would not make ANY sense to thinkg that there is no God. Think of it this way.... what created everything? Did things randomly appear? No... God created them. But then you will probably say... 'what created God?' ... well even if something did create God.... then God would not be God. The thing that 'created "God"' would actually be God. hehe.. if you catch my drift No matter how you look at it... there has to be some higher power that created everything. End of story!! so what are you waiting for atheists? You now KNOW that there is a higher power. Why are you going against his word? God has the power to accept you into heaven or to reject you

Came back to check my post and got exactly what I expected. Your hearts are hardened, and I only hope God will show you the truth. I know some of the things I said may have not all fitted together (I need to learn more) The only proof I have of God is that he talks to me in prayer, he lets me know when I am doing something wrong (feel bad after sinning) and that he is starting to answer my prayers. (yes I know, this will not help any of you with the 'proof' thing.)

Sometimes I wonder if atheists never open their eyes... This world is so beutifully complex on all levels, I wonder how that could have happened through chance like they seem to belive.. I dont think that I'll ever be able to understand atheists..

They'll find some argument ro reject that also even if their arguments don't make sense. They're very much in the dark and will remain there for all eternity if they don't have the courage to open their eyes.

Just because you can insert any absurd entity in place of God does not mean you are right in doing so. The fact is you have NO proof whatsoever that there is no God (just a bunch of theories), but we have a book called the Bible. Written by many different people at many different times yet there are no contradictions.

You say there are so many contradictions... if you look at what is being said in the context to the story, who was writing it, where, why, and to who, etc... you will notice that there are not contradictions. this was not determined by myself, but by my father who has read the Bible many many times.

Atheists spend a lot of time trying to prove that they know better than God. They do not recognize the words in the bible as being from God. They prefer to believe the truth of their opinions or they wouldn't argue so vehemently for them.

Evolution explains complexity about as well as chance would explain a tornado would ripping through a junkyard and miraculously forming a fully functional boeing 747

Ok lets assume the tornado is in the junkyard for a couple of million years..Still doesnt add up. Complexity will never come from chance or nothing. It would be like taking a watch to an indian who has never seen technology like that and then telling him it just happened and no one made it. My point is evolution does NOT explain away God. It tries to but its failing currently..

I believe that evolution doesn't explain away God. For those who believe in evolution, the problem is that if human all follow evolution theory, then human suppose to be stupid and more stupid and our body and brain should become smaller and smaller until what you could imagine. This is because according to evolution theory, human evolve from big apes with huge head or brain and huge size of body, and if according to the speed of human evolve from ape, then now we should just like a small allien and not the one we look likes now where human become smarter and smarter..so I don't believe evolution works at all.

I think I should point out that my post wasn't about the solidarity of the [Evolution] theory, it was about the way many people follow the theory without question. Of course scientists wouldn't care if the theory would be proved untrue, that wasn't the point, the point was that many people who believe in it, would deny it's untruth, just like they did 1000's of years ago.

Because the universe is expanded Scientists think they've come up with some un-deniable theory of a random 'Big Bang' that in a freak accident created everything we see. They've made up an entire history of the come of earth simply from noting that the universe is expanded.

However, a theory that advocates survival of the fittest and that races are superior to others is, well, offensive.

Keeping the infants from growing up and spending a eternity in Hell because they would have inevitably turned evil and required punishment sounds like a good circumstance to me. What would be more important to you - keeping an infant alive to spend an eyeblink of time compared to eternity living in a purely corrupt and evil world, only to grow up and most likely turn evil themselves forcing judgement to be cast on them and have them spend eternity in Hell, or end their life prematurely and take them right to Heaven?

Im a 14 year old christian whos currently taking a biology class. Im learning about cells and genes and dna and lotsa crap like that. I find the complexity of our bodies and life on earth amazing. I cant see how anyone could believe that something like this could just result from some prehistoric explosion.

Quote# 5870

I was thinking about evolution and the many scientific laws it violates, and I realized the biggest law it violates- Murphy's Law. Murphy's Law is that 'if anything can go wrong, it will.' You would have to agree with me that Murphy's Law is a fundemental aspect of everyday life- the bread pops out of the toaster, and falls on the floor. The light turns red as you pull up to the intersection. The plane is delayed due to bad weather. The computer is contaiminated with a virus because you were downloading a bunch of sh*t of a Kazaa. Murphy's Law is the law of chaos, of disorder. Everything goes downhill. However, evolution has to go against this disorder in the universe. That's the point- something from nothing, life form nonlife, order from chaos.

Atheism... How unoriginal. How easy. One can believe in nothing or anything. Nothing to defend, everthing to defend. Backed into a logical corner - change your position or deny the laws of logic... They worship the scientific priest class and call themselves free thinkers. Free thinkers who are bound by cultural bias and their own uninformed and small world. Yet they rail against anything that does not conform to their small mindedness. No hope and nothing beyond the material. Yes the easiest world view ever invented by man,but also the saddest...

Actually many of the Greek philosophers proposed evolutionary ideas, e.g. Anaximander, Epicurus and Empedocles. This also demolishes silly arguments like 'Newton was a creationist merely because there was no alternative.'
