I saw parts of the [Harry Potter] movie. It was a LOT worse then I thought it was going to be. It is designed to desensitize teenagers so that satan can move in and destroy them. It seems to be accomplishing it's objective. People seem to be reacting to it just exactly the way they want them to.

The problem with the 'all imagination' theory is that, just like little boys who watch lots of cowboy movies will mimmick the behavior or imagine growing up to be cowboys, or scientists, or fireman, depending on the stories they are told as children, the same holds true for the Harry Potter stuff. Thus for a Christian to allow this type of influence on their kids is like allowing them to watch fantasy movies about drug trips, even I will say pornography or the like, and then perhaps one day having to rein the kid in hard because he doesn't understand it's not OK. Probably you'll say Hoof! Comparing Harry Potter to pornography, well I am just trying to get your attention in a realistic way. If you bring kiddie porn into your home and then your kid becomes the neighborhood **** at age 9 wouldn't it be your fault? With Harry Potter, you'll have to break him of the evil fantasy first if you ever expect him to accept Jesus as well, because the 2 cannot happily co-exist.
